Hi guys, I need help, im really quote upset with this!!! Car has been off the road for quite a while as it needed a couple of parts. The parts changed were both turbos oil return pipes and the drivers side oil feed pipe. Also a new O2 sensor on the passenger side. Went to get the car today and all seemed fine, car driving okay etc. On the way home I spent about 2 hours stuck in stop start traffic. The car then started to seem like it was struggling... revs going up and down around200 - 300 revs and running like a pile of crap, had to keep a bit of gas on so it didn't cut out in the traffic jam. When accelarating or even being in neutral and reving up it strug…

Driving in the rain, turned a corner in second, put my foot down and whoosh! The car slid 90 degrees before I had to wrench it straight again! Scary to say the least and I think the car behind me was absolutely terrified. The car's a NA, I've been moaning about lack of power and the tyres have lots of tread. Is this normal? Does the car have any form of anti-skid/spin? My rear shocks are due to be changed shortly as they are finished; would they 'help' the car to spin/slide? The only reason I ask is that I have driven more powerful cars in the past of a similar configuration (RWD, Manual, over 230bhp) and never had it slide so easily, even in the rain. …

Well I've been searching around for a little bit now but I've not really found a great deal of difinitive information on upgrading of injectors. It would appear that 500-555cc injectors are perfectly adequete for most applications upto around the 500hp area so I guess this covers most of us! There are two types of injectors, the 'phase 1' which covers 90-94's and the 'phase 2' which covers 95-96's. I believe the phase 2s are of the style that most aftermarket ones are? Does this also cover the design used in skylines/supras etc.? Thankfully DeatschWerks does an adapter kit to use phase 2's. What have people done to upgrade their injectors? Any suggesti…

Does anyone stock these in the uk or would I have to get them from JWT themselves? Does the downpipe fit straight to the turbo? I need to get all the niggles sorted before it goes on the RR.

I was getting a horrible vibration from the engine plus lots of blue/black oil smelling smoke from the o/s exhaust. I relocated and changed the PTU and replaced the original exhaust with a mongoose catback. I also replaced the throttle, IC and rad hoses for silicon ones and finally, flushed the coolant, changed oil and filter. The engine now no longer vibrates like it did (result!) however, I'm still getting smoke from the exhaust. Thing is, it's now coming out of the n/s and the o/s is clean  All the guages are reading correctly and as expected, however my AFR gauge says that both banks are running lean. I was thinking that a turbo seal was packing up, but n…

gonna start clearing the garage this weekend followed by cleaning the car and waxing it then storing it. I will then start following the engine removal guide on this site. my only gripe is the lack of space i have. i was thinking of reversing the car in the garage (single) so it is a bit tight but i have access to the front of the car. When it comes to removing the engine do i need to have the car raised? i was thinking of disconnecting everything then rolling car forward when it comes to removing the engine. my only problem is i will be declaring it SORN until it goes back on the road. do you think i will get away with pulling it out of the gara…

Whats the difference between a T25 and T3 fitting? Im looking at some hybrid turbos of various guises but in all honesty I don't know what will bolt straight in/need mods to fit. I guess the T3 is a 5 bolt downpipe fitting but will the manifold flange fit? i.e. ebay item 160336287746 Anyone know any good suppliers of T25/T28 hybrids as to my understanding these bolt straight in... Any advice much appreciated

I have found that after driving through a heavy rain storm, the car gets a really bad vibration / jolt through the steering wheel (and can be felt through the seat), as though I am driving over cats eyes. This happens at about 60mph and gets progressively worse to the point it is hard to steer. If I stop and leave the car for a minute or so it goes away! The only thing I can put it down to is water getting into something and draining away when I stop but as the ground is usually wet I cannot spot it. Anyone had this or have any ideas where to look ?

Having had a NA for the last 6 years i'm a little clueless when it comes to turbos. The TT engine i have is from an auto which i believe come with T24 turbos. Looking for upgrades, but nothing mad for now. I can get hold of a couple of Garrett T28s from an Escort Cossie small turbo model. Will this work? Thank you please

I've been a busy boy recently - hence the lack of post on here! About 3 months ago idecided to get my plenum off and and replace it with a half finished one I bought from Bantambunny. The idea being to accentuate the curves in the middle of the plenum and have them exposed by removing the throttle cable cover, re-routing the Coil pack wires under the plenum and re-routing the injector wires under the plenum. However it didn't end there!! I then decided to remove the castings that accomodate the bolts for the throttle cable covers!! After putting it on the block to see how it looked I then decided that it needed more polishing as the lack of wires expos…

Will the cruise control linkage (see pic) from an '89 jdm TT work ok in a '93 uk? They look identical but the jdm has 9YG on it and the UK has 36T, apart from that the part numbers are the same. I was wondering if it would cause any issues with the ecu etc.. Both are fully working but the uk one is pretty tatty, hence the reason for the swap. Cheers Dave
