gonna start clearing the garage this weekend followed by cleaning the car and waxing it then storing it. I will then start following the engine removal guide on this site. my only gripe is the lack of space i have. i was thinking of reversing the car in the garage (single) so it is a bit tight but i have access to the front of the car. When it comes to removing the engine do i need to have the car raised? i was thinking of disconnecting everything then rolling car forward when it comes to removing the engine. my only problem is i will be declaring it SORN until it goes back on the road. do you think i will get away with pulling it out of the gara…

Whats the difference between a T25 and T3 fitting? Im looking at some hybrid turbos of various guises but in all honesty I don't know what will bolt straight in/need mods to fit. I guess the T3 is a 5 bolt downpipe fitting but will the manifold flange fit? i.e. ebay item 160336287746 Anyone know any good suppliers of T25/T28 hybrids as to my understanding these bolt straight in... Any advice much appreciated

I have found that after driving through a heavy rain storm, the car gets a really bad vibration / jolt through the steering wheel (and can be felt through the seat), as though I am driving over cats eyes. This happens at about 60mph and gets progressively worse to the point it is hard to steer. If I stop and leave the car for a minute or so it goes away! The only thing I can put it down to is water getting into something and draining away when I stop but as the ground is usually wet I cannot spot it. Anyone had this or have any ideas where to look ?

Having had a NA for the last 6 years i'm a little clueless when it comes to turbos. The TT engine i have is from an auto which i believe come with T24 turbos. Looking for upgrades, but nothing mad for now. I can get hold of a couple of Garrett T28s from an Escort Cossie small turbo model. Will this work? Thank you please

I've been a busy boy recently - hence the lack of post on here! About 3 months ago idecided to get my plenum off and and replace it with a half finished one I bought from Bantambunny. The idea being to accentuate the curves in the middle of the plenum and have them exposed by removing the throttle cable cover, re-routing the Coil pack wires under the plenum and re-routing the injector wires under the plenum. However it didn't end there!! I then decided to remove the castings that accomodate the bolts for the throttle cable covers!! After putting it on the block to see how it looked I then decided that it needed more polishing as the lack of wires expos…

Will the cruise control linkage (see pic) from an '89 jdm TT work ok in a '93 uk? They look identical but the jdm has 9YG on it and the UK has 36T, apart from that the part numbers are the same. I was wondering if it would cause any issues with the ecu etc.. Both are fully working but the uk one is pretty tatty, hence the reason for the swap. Cheers Dave

Hi people, don't know if anyone may be able to help on this one but i'm having some strange problems with a JDM TT i bought last week. The tacho "jumps" sometimes say from 2,000 to 3,000rpm, but what's more worrying is i hit the limit yesterday while tacho showed 3000rpm?! it does also tickover high sometimes, especially when you use the heater? Anyways any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks........

Hi all, I spotted a nice looking black 300zx, most probably a UK spec and possibly on a private plate (not much help, am I?) in Beaconsfield on Sunday afternoon (12th). It was on the Penn Road just outside the New Town - Z was heading into Beaconsfield and I was in a silver Rav-4 heading towards Penn. I flashed my lights as we passed - but as I wasn't in my Z you probably thought I was just a bit mad........;) Richard:D

How do you turn the rear fogs on in a uk zed? I have a jap zed, with 99 spec rears wired to have fogs. For now i have a shitty little switch to turn on the rear fogs. So, how do they turn on in a uk zed? I'm basically looking for a tidy 'stock like' way of turning them on. cheers Scott

Thanks (also hope the guy whos photo i nicked doesnt mind :-)
