Just wondering what is the best way to go to get a SWB 300tt handling better suspension wise? My thoughts from what I have found on the forum are: Hicas removal Rear camber arms Front camber arms Coil overs Uprated anti roll bars Front strut brace What about rear upper traction arms?, front adjustable tension rods? rear strut brace? Anything else to add?

Just fitted a big 12 row oil cooler from a Showgun. One of the old pipes didnt quite reach so used some 10mm vaccum pipe. Will this do? It seems ok no leaks and doesnt bulge or anything when the car is running. :wack: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=270387532406

as above. with the ignition on, even with the wiper switch off. the only thing the switch will do is make them go faster if you turn it to the fastest setting. read threads about this but non seem to come to a conclusion. have tried a new relay, had the switch apart, which all apears fine. took the top off the motor were the plastic cogs and sensor thing is. cant see anything broke or corroded. i can get hold of a new motor but its of a z of a similar age and mileage (94 and 145k miles) so wont that be ready for giving up aswel? any advice or anyone with a newer motor would be appreciated. cheers, danny

Well I've had another few hours working on the Z getting her ready for the road tonight, but got a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me. First of all, I've removed the carbon canister (amongst other useless items), and the large pipe is left with nowhere to go (see red arrow). But it does T off and the other end goes behind the chassis rail (see green arrow). I have hunted around the net but cannot find any reference to this pipe at all. Do I need to cap the open end? Secondly... my car is missing an alternator which I am in the process of sorting out, I'm guessing the left hand bracket in this picture is the alternator bra…

As the weather is getting warm, i need to get my air con colder. First thing i need to know, plus a few more questions does my aircon work??? When i turn it on, the revs go higher, it clicks and it comes out, not warm but cooler. Is the clutch on the front supposed to spin or not???? If it is working, is it worth taking to Kwik fit to re gas or an aircon man. Having read threads re this, the old stuff is not available anymore, but the connector changed on a certain year??? Mine is a late UK 94 Manual TT if it helps. Stu

have tried and tested at least 3 working cd players in my car but for some reason they will not even turn on. i have bought the connecter for the Z and hooked it all up, then plugged it into the stereo but nothin, the cd player section makes a noise to show there is power going to it, but nothing else, blank screen (not actual screen as just normal cd player) have tried resetting the players but still nothing, what am i missing as i know these cd players 100% work? any ideas ? cheers Jonny

getting really stressed with my zed and really need some expert help......its an n/a auto and its been hesitating for while more so in the wet. then all of a sudden it started running on 5 cylinders. i phoned jeff at zedworld who was super helpful and bought a set of plugs and a coil pack as it seems to point to that but its not cured the problem. weve tested the injector connectors for corrosion but they are fine.....its seems to be number 2 plug which sparks ok when out of the block but once put in theres no spark again...weve tried moving the plug and coil packs to other positions and they work fine but put them back onto plug no 2 they stop working again. must be an …

the other day my car lefta huge puddle on the car park (about a cup full of water) i did notice the radiator had lost some fluid and so last night when i filled up my empty autobox with ATF and filled the rad up i noticed that the car was dripping fluid on the ground from behind the engine. At first i though it was the autobox and that it made sense why my autobox had no fluid however last night i left a tray under the drip to see what it is this morning i have now checked and it was water... i am glad for the gearbox however now i have to find a leak! the amount of water that had dripped overnight was thankfully only enough to fill the equivalent …

Oh yes it does! Thought I'd make the most of these warm evenings and went for a nice drive through the countryside. T-tops off, some cool tunes playing. Summer driving is great. Summer evening driving is better. Nice and warm, empty roads. I love looking up and seeing the stars and dark skies. /that's all.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced problems when accelarating. My clutch peddle went last week, and i got it replaced & i dont know if its coincedence or not but now when i accelarate it feels like the power isnt going down properly as if the car is wheelspinning, or the clutch was still depressed? Could it be that they tweaked something on the clutch when changing it or is it related to something else? As always any advice would be brilliant as it usually saves alot of money when mending it :-) Thanks

Half 3 or 4 oclock maybe? Saw a 300zx that had had a tyre changed, just pulling of the hard shoulder, two fellas in it. Looked tidy enough apart from the space saver on the front :)

Hi to everyone and very pleased to be a part of this community. Just bought my first 300ZX on Monday (29/06/09), although I have to say that I have been in love with the car since it was launched in 1990 and I was doing my GCSEs! Anyway, finally my heart ruled my head and I got myself an imported 1993 non-turbo manual, in pearlescent white. What I now need is expert guidance from yourselves! As for initial impressions/views: - car still looks stunning, even after nearly 20 years. Everyone in the office is very envious and imagines that it must be soooooooo expensive. - interior is equally modern and still beautiful. - on the road however, I ha…

just got this app for my Iphone 3gs - looks pretty good and seems to be comparable to G-Techs results (according to the blurb, youtube and ratings). Anyone know the weight of a import SWB with wide arch kit fitted (mine to be precise :) ? Wikipedia throws up 1496 kg (3300 lb) for the standard 2 seater Not sure how much extra weight the filler would take my car. I junked the air con pump so that may make up for the amount of filler? Cheers
