  1. I had one of these badges for a short time until I was hit with copious amounts of urghh and that's not right.. In my honest opinion, if you like it, keep it. If you're not sure about it, take it off. But do it sooner rather than later cos the uv actually will leave the mark where it is. Mine did after just a month!
  2. The other option is send the car in for a respray? I got a full respray for a friend done for £1700 in lambo orange Pearl. Proper job as well, all door shuts etc, glass out. It was a top job for that money. Also included fitting and fettling a full body kit.. If you can't go there due to finances, I'd recommend acrylic clear coat as well. I've never wrote had issues with acrylic and I've got it in my engine bay on some real hot places and it's not having any issues coping.
  3. It probably goes like a 300 and has the capability of doing it off road as well.. I used to own the xtrails and these trucks can be a lot of fun.. Particularly great when it's snowing and those in cars like a z can't move for wheelspin as you cruise on by like it's a summers day.. Lol.. Not a z but a z isn't the only fun machine on the road. Each vehicle has its positives and negatives..
  4. Let's face it guys, the expenses involved are more likely to cost more than just buying a tt and making it good. You can pick up a tt car for around £2000 at times and yes it'll need time and money to put right but at the same time, it was made as a tt, everything's there, brakes, ecu, engine, turbos, exhausts etc.. Swapping from auto to manual, yes I think that's worth the hassle and expense, but from na to tt... Better to bite the bullet and get the tt car rather than the time and money involved in an engine swap and all that goes with it. I'd even go as far to say, just save and get a decent fresh import. These are big enough money pits at the best of times, without getting involved in all that! But that's my opinion
  5. Hi all, looking for exhausts from cats back due to the recent collapse of a middle box joint on my z. I'm trying to make my own custom set up to remove the centre boxes and fit my own rear boxes. If anyone has an oem exhaust system from cat back they don't need or a stainless cat back system going cheap, can you let me know please. With the recent unexpected expense of replacing my turbos, I am skint to the highest extreme at present, so I need these as cheap as possible. I don't expect anyone to give things away, but I'm being honest so not to waste anyone's time. If there's anything going, I'd appreciate the help more than ever right now.. Thanks guys n gals
  6. I believe that is the correct fluid Ali.. Not sure of the amount but if you pour in around 3 litres and then check with the dip stick, you should get a good idea on how much you'll need.. Don't forget that the oil ways inside the box will need to fill aswell so don't accept the first reading off the stick.. Make sure once you have a reasonable amount in there, run the engine to allow the fluid to remove any trapped air in the system and then allow it to settle and check again.. If you treat it like filling your radiator, you can't really go wrong.. Apart from don't try filling it with the engine running or you'll end up with a face full of atf lol.. So is that new gearbox in then?
  7. I think you best get to the opticians Ali... You don't spy any tweed.. It's alcantara on the door cards lol.. I'm leaving the door cards off until I've finished the speaker pods, but worry not.. The door cards will soon match the interior.. :cool3:
  8. Thanks everyone.. Feeling a little like a lost sheep at the moment and trying to work out where to start but I'll get sorted shortly.. As for it being sometimes a thankless task groover, you guys haven't met my wife have you? Lol.. I'm used to thankless tasks! As for the role, all I can say is I'll do my best to ensure that we all have some memorable events.. I'm gathering up info on next year's biggest events and the areas they're in. Got a big uk map and trying to set out a couple of organised events and a couple that will be our own events. I'm aiming to make things fair with travelling for everyone so it's not always the same few having to travel furthest.. I'm hoping to try and arrange a Z rally aswell. More about this as it unfolds but it should be a great event if I can get it organised.. I'm looking for the whole membership to put in any suggestions of possible event ideas and locations. This is after all your club, so you should have a chance to put your ideas and suggestions as to what sort of events you want. Id like to focus more on the members than on events open yo everyone in the public. More personal and enjoyable events that bring the members together to enjoy time and make some great memories for people. So aswell as the usual national events held by large organisers, everyone can look forward to a more socially active membership aswell. As I've said, I'm beginning by asking for your input because after all, this is all about you guys and girls.. The members.. So please feel free to send me your suggestions. I will post an email address up in the next few days for you to send ideas and suggestions to, this is simply to keep unnecessary traffic down on the forum and also make life easier for me to keep track of your comments and suggestions... REO's, I'm hoping to hear from you guys too, as you will obviously have a knowledge of local locations and meets. If anyone would like to call me and chat about any ideas they have, I'm available during the evenings monday to friday and anytime weekends.. I only ask that no one calls me before midday during the week as I work night shifts permanently, thus the pastey complexion lol.. Contact details are Email: galimi.ltd@ntlworld.com (Please put events suggestions as title line) Or you can call me on 07900887433 Thanks for reading and in advance for your input.. This is your chance to shape some of our events to make them something enjoyable for you.. I look forward to seeing your input fellow zedders..
  9. Glad you went to see Sam.. He really is a nice guy and as you say, he reallt knows his stuff mate. He's good on price aswell.. I'm sure your Z will look spanking after he's done with her.. Look forward to seeing it finished mate
  10. OK so I missed Beaulieu but i spent the day sorting the Z out.. No more tweed!!
  11. Gutted I missed it guys.. Well done again Joelyp..
  12. How did you get on with Sam mate? He's hard to get hold of cos he's constantly either in the booth or prepping and his phone is out of earshot.. Leave a message and he'll get back to you asap..
  13. It's booked in with doctor dent and I'm waiting for two shiny turbos to arrive from midland turbos next week.. What the hell hey, it's only money!! Lee is going to pull the engine and whilst he's got it out, the engine bay is gonna get a good cleaning and the new turbos with the 360 uprated bearings and seals will be hung in place if the 26 year old poopers that are now defunct.. Got some new pcv valves coming too.. Not sure yet if I'm gonna delete the pcvs but the new ones are coming just incase I keep them there.. By the end of this visit to lee, the car should be in top form.. Just got to source a cat back exhaust and decide if the cats should go back in or not.. I'm thinking that if I put the cats back and delete the middle boxes, i may be able to retain the back pressure to relieve the turbo seals and still get a little more free flow through the exhaust and a nice sound too.. Anyone have an opinion on this? I'd like to keep the decats but after the turbo seals failed due to removal of the cats, I'm wondering if I'm asking for trouble by not reinstalling them when the new tubs go on.. If anyone has any helpful opinions, I'd welcome them right now as I simply can't afford another expensive failure right now.. I've almost had to stand under a red light to afford the turbo replacement! Thanks in advance for your help and advice people..
  14. Hey Russ.. I may have an abs sensor here mate.. If you want it, drop over and grab it mate
  15. Oh and I've got an oem radiator too
  16. Hey Richard, you and I aren't a million miles apart.. I've got a spare set of hoses from the stuff changed on my Z recently, I'm more than happy to give you a hand to get the hose changed mate?? I'm fine with laying on my back, in fact I'm pro at it, you ask my wife... If I can help you get up and running to get there mate, I'm happy to help.. Sadly I can't get there due to turbo issues and that's not as straight forward as a coolant hose.. If you want a hand, give me a shout Richard..
  17. Cheers guys, it's gotta be the worst timing going too.. If I'd thought about it I could've replaced the turbos when Lee had it in bits but hey, hindsight is a git ain't it! Definitely next year.. Just hope I don't miss the jae this year aswell cos it's dangerously close to time! Fingers crossed I'll raise the cash and denty will work his magic in time again.. We shall see! Hope you guys have a great time.. Plenty of photos please guys...
  18. OK, not the message I was wanting to send but unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out from Beaulieu guys.. The drivers turbo on my car is eating oil and smoking like an Amsterdam cafe.. I can't run the risk of the seal completely going on the journey, so apologies guys but I'm unable to attend now.. Gutted cos I was looking forward to the day..
  19. Good to hear that jaikai.. So it shouldn't be too much of a headache for you to sort it which is great news..
  20. I'll go check now Gary and report back
  21. The Z32 is a beautiful car in its own right. Its lines and curves are perfect, bold yet sleek, like a beautiful woman, wonderfully pleasing to the eye, yet you know there's a hint of aggressive attitude lol.. Treat her with affection and respect and the rewards are heavenly, abuse or neglect her, she'll turn your world upside down and empty your pockets like no other.. My view of ownership is that Ill never truly own her, she chose to be with me because I love and respect her.. If that ever changes, I'm certain she'll move on in one way or another... No disrespect to any females reading is intentional, it's just my mad view on the relationship I have with nostrils.. She's not a possession, she's a companion that I'm very happy to have in my life.. I guess my view is, if you want a Ferrari, buy a Ferrari. Don't buy a Ferrari and try making it a lamborghini. It doesn't work. All you end up doing is destroying the very essence and soul of the car.. If you're building a race car from a Z, retain its natural beauty and characteristics, otherwise don't call it a Z..
  22. More of a mixabulls#@t to me lol..
