Hi all,

We have been without a National Events Organiser for some time, since Lexx stepped down to take care of family matters. However following our AGM at Coventry last month, Paul (NemesizX) very graciously offered up his services......

.....And the committee has given Paul its full support in taking on the role.

So without further ado, please can join me in congratulating Paul in his new position within the club. Nice work Paul - thank you for stepping up to the mark; I know you'll do us proud!!

Richard

For The Committee

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Your not trusting that **** with such an important job!?:lol:

Only joking, Paul's a great guy and although relatively new to the scene has shown alot of heart and soul towards the club.

All the best Paul and I'm sure you will be a great events organiser.

Thanks everyone.. Feeling a little like a lost sheep at the moment and trying to work out where to start but I'll get sorted shortly..

As for it being sometimes a thankless task groover, you guys haven't met my wife have you? Lol.. I'm used to thankless tasks!

As for the role, all I can say is I'll do my best to ensure that we all have some memorable events..

I'm gathering up info on next year's biggest events and the areas they're in. Got a big uk map and trying to set out a couple of organised events and a couple that will be our own events.

I'm aiming to make things fair with travelling for everyone so it's not always the same few having to travel furthest..

I'm hoping to try and arrange a Z rally aswell. More about this as it unfolds but it should be a great event if I can get it organised..

I'm looking for the whole membership to put in any suggestions of possible event ideas and locations.

This is after all your club, so you should have a chance to put your ideas and suggestions as to what sort of events you want.

Id like to focus more on the members than on events open yo everyone in the public.

More personal and enjoyable events that bring the members together to enjoy time and make some great memories for people. So aswell as the usual national events held by large organisers, everyone can look forward to a more socially active membership aswell.

As I've said, I'm beginning by asking for your input because after all, this is all about you guys and girls.. The members..

So please feel free to send me your suggestions.

I will post an email address up in the next few days for you to send ideas and suggestions to, this is simply to keep unnecessary traffic down on the forum and also make life easier for me to keep track of your comments and suggestions...

REO's, I'm hoping to hear from you guys too, as you will obviously have a knowledge of local locations and meets.

If anyone would like to call me and chat about any ideas they have, I'm available during the evenings monday to friday and anytime weekends.. I only ask that no one calls me before midday during the week as I work night shifts permanently, thus the pastey complexion lol..

Thanks for reading and in advance for your input..

This is your chance to shape some of our events to make them something enjoyable for you..

I look forward to seeing your input fellow zedders..

I did suggest this briefly but IMO it would be nice to have a rally circling the region's of the uk so that anyone can hop in for some miles when it comes through their region and don't have to stick for the whole thing, though some people should do the whole route. I know there are some nice roads in Wales when I went to see Keith a few days ago, but not so sure about the SE. M25 [emoji38]

And I think it was Ian telling us about the yearly euro tour they used to have, where 5-10 Zed's toured Europe. It would be nice to revive that again if the club is up for it.
