That one.....................

iv just got 245/40/18's seem to fit nice with the offset of my alloys. depending on the width of the wheel and what you want it to look like you could go for a 255/35 im a tyre fitter so lucky i get to tinker with my sizes :3

Tyre size Depends on the wheel width, and potentially the wheel offset for clearance. Staggered setups are the most popular on Z's (narrower front to rear), but a square setup (same front and back) can be utilised.

As with what Yowser said. What is your wheel width and offset? If you have a 10" wheel for example, 265 is going to be too stretched. As a rule of thumb based on widths alone, I'd recommend the following.

9" : 265

9.5" : 275

10" : 285

10.5" : 295

Depending on your offset though will also depend on what you can and can't fit.

Cheers Si / Yowser I know it depends on the wheel guys but i know these wheels have been on a zed before and had 265's fitted but i couldnt remember what profile was best for clearance. I will however measure them to check.

That may or may not have been the right tyre. If you can look on the back of the hub, it should be stamped there along with the offset. 35 profile is what you want on the rear if you're running 18s.

I've got 275/35/18 on my 9.5" rears, +35 offset. Personally (and I know it varies a bit tyre to tyre) I wouldn't want to go any narrower as there is little enough rim protection as it is. And the tyres don't look that fat on them to my eyes, I wouldn't mind 285s but would need the arches rolling for that
