  1. I'm gonna do my best to get there aswell.. Put me down please.. NemesizX
  2. Likewise Richard.. Gonna have to try organise a run out in your direction soon.. Maybe me and bedzee and a couple of others can have a mini meet up your way? All get together for a Sunday afternoon or something?
  3. Well I've got a fiver.. Do you think that'll cover it?
  4. Now this car is exactly the sort of thing I despise.. I've had some criticism for some of the mods on my car, but nothing that I've changed or would change will take away the identity of the car.. This goes against all my standards of modifying a car. Theres nothing to identify it as a 300 anymore.. I see it as an insult to the Z32, particularly as it's got toyota parts on it! The gorgeous headlights are gone, the shaping and lines of the bonnet and bumper... All I can say is that at least the engine seems to be Z32 on the exterior anyway.. Nope, don't like it or respect it in any way shape or form.. It's a scrapper to me..
  5. Alic I think the idea of an events calendar on the home page is a great one.. Not sure how easy or hard it would be to do, but I'm sure Gaz or Craig could look in to it.. It would make life easy to find out what's going on and when.. What do you think Gaz?
  6. You're very welcome Jay.. Great to meet you the weekend mate. Glad those bags have gone to a good home too
  7. I'm in luton so not far away mate..
  8. Yes, it was a fantastic day. Thanks for all your hard work in the committee! Awesome drive to the museum in the morning, great meal and drinks in the hotel on Saturday too.. The sight of so many Z's in all their forms was fantastic amd each and every one of you guys have my respect for your continued hard work preserving your cars and keeping the Z32 alive and kicking.. Thanks to each and every one that voted my nostrils as best engine bay 2016, it was a great feeling to receive that award after the work that went in to it. Really made my year that! So thank you all. Great to finally meet you Gaz and your son, you were the true gent I expected you to be and your car was as expected too, a true example of a great 300. Congrats to Joely, mondo, mantav8 and Ian greenfield for your well deserved awards too Great agm meeting aswell with some valid points raised and interesting discussions. Look forward to seeing the club's future get brighter and more fun for every member.. If anyone has details for the beullie, can you forward them to me please as if I can attend, I will..
  9. Hi mate, I should have one going spare as I've just changed mine for silicone ones.. Is it the one from the front water pipes to the rad? Pm me your number and I'll have a look tomorrow
  10. I wish that were the truth Alic, but truth is, the small cars are the ones that people steal and go make expensive crashes in. They're also usually very low tech alarm protection and usually all the younger folk can afford to run. I'm still a believer in insurance companies charging everyone the same price and using the innocent until proven guilty stance. If you have an accident and it's proven that you caused it then your insurance should go up to reflect that and recover the cost for the insurance company. If you stay accident free and don't get points etc, then you should pay the same as everyone else. An affordable and fair scenario, but as we all know, insurance companies are not governed by anyone that keeps the prices in check so they charge whatever they like.. Very wrong and very unfair on those that use the roads properly and don't cost the insurance companies anything..
  11. Ive spent a lot of time in rough old bangers and a lot of it underneath them putting things right and you're right about them not having to look great, just do the job. This little ka works reallt well for what it is and the improvements are really just because the opportunity arose and I'd rather use the better looking hits then scrap them with the car.. Anyways, all well.. The ka looks a little cooler and the scrapper will serve it's last purpose by returning me to my Z.. On another note, I just finished messing with my speaker pods and got one near the final stage of fibreglass coating and paint.. Got to sand the groove for the other panel in the other one and then that'll be at the same stage. Pretty happy with them thus far.. What do you think?
  12. Gonna build one myself soon coopd.. Still working on my door speakers though.. They're coming along nicely but not getting enough time spare to get them finished. Just received some panels I ordered from Richy Speed and the light panels from our own lighting guru so gonna get cracking on them this week and maybe get them done for Friday.. It may happen but only if it goes well.. Any screw ups and it'll have to wait til after the agm..
  13. Mines a petrol but it's 1.3 and screams it's balls off on the motorway.. But, it's good on fuel and I don't have to worry it's gonna get scratched or nicked. If anyone nicked it I'd probably catch them by running after it lol.. It's a good little car, it just needed some pimping to make it an acceptable thing to be seen in. For a Ka it's remarkably good condition as most by the age of this one are more rust than car. I just bought one to get to lee dents to collect my Z. I'll be driving that one up and scrapping it when I get there, travel has only cost me about £15 in fuel as the car only cost me £50 and the scrapyard told me it's worth £55 in scrap, so nothing lost.. In fact I got a set of volks racing alloy wheels with virtually new tyres and the sport bodykit for my own ka aswell as a free ride and a fiver back on top from the scrappy! I'd say that was a fairly good deal considering a train ticket there is £135 from Luton! Quite happy with that result! Lol
  14. That's looking sweet Chris, good job mate.. I need to get the plans for these sub boxes as I'd like a boot sub myself to go with the new pods for my doors I'm building. Did you get the plans from AndrewG?
  15. It may only be a Ka but it has given me the freedom to move around whilst my beloved Z is being cared for. I don't need the car to look nasty to have people not mess with me in traffic, I'm a big guy and the ka just makes that much more evident, especially when people see me get in and out of it lol. Improving its look is just for my own benefit, as I don't like to be seen driving turds.. A polished turd however is slightly more acceptable! Once I've sprayed the new additions in the chosen colour Red, it should look acceptable to have just a little more credibility and as I plan on using it more regularly than before, it's got to look better than it used to for my own sanity.. On the plus side, I still have nothing to lose, I can buy these all day long for under £100! Lol
  16. Not a Z post I know but as I've no Z to work on, I've been pimping my ka instead.. It used to be a bog standard style free credibility killer.. But ive pimped it a little this weekend and now it's looking a little more credible.. I've changed the front and rear bumpers for ka2 sport ones and added the sport spoiler too.. Just gotta wait a few days until I can get the front alloys on as I'm gonna have to leave them on the donor car until I drive it up to lee dents and scrap it.. It's looking better though!
  17. Getting close to both pulling my hair out and wetting myself at the same time now! It's been 13 looooonnnggg days since I last saw my Z. Missing it like mad and every time I open the door to leave for work, that snail of a Ka is grinning at me... After a little chat with doctor dent today, he has told me he's going to send photos of my new engine bay to me today.. I'm so excited, but I'm thinking should I look at them now or wait until I collect her? The last time I saw my engine bay it looked fairly oem apart from the slam panel covers I'd fitted the week before I took it to Shrewsbury.. So do you guys think I should wait til I lift the bonnet or take a peek at the photos? What would you do???? I'm pulling hair out for another reason aswell. The friend who took me to drop the car off with Lee can't take me to collect her.. So I'm kind of stuck in limbo at the moment! Unfortunately she might not be ready until early next week now and that throws a major spanner in the plans as I'm at work weeknights and obviously need to sleep days.. After seeing the price and route to get there by train I nearly choked! £120 single fare and I have to go south in to London to get to Shrewsbury?? Wtf?? Three train changes too! As the agm is on next weekend I'm starting to think I'll not be able to get there to pick up the car.. Sometimes my life is soooo stressing!!
  18. That looks stunning Gaz! It's not often you see that colour Red without some fade to it from the Uv damage.. You must be proud of that lady.. And so you should be!
  19. No problem at all sav.. I still have the program and will be happy to help you out if I can. Will you be able to get the car to me or do you want me to come to you? If you want to pm me your number or give me a call on 07900887433 anytime after midday weekdays or anytime on a weekend and we can sort out a convenient time and place and see if we can find out what's killing your joy! Cheers Paul
  20. Wish I could say yes but my car is still at the doctors and my pockets are so bare that even the moths are having a debate on wether to move out permanently.. I'm barely gonna scrape the cash to pay for the fuel and meal at the agm.. Unless a winning lottery ticket happens to fall at my feet, I'm afraid it's got to be a no from me..
  21. Roof rack? I'm sure you could squeeze one in the boot rat.. Lol
  22. Woke up early for a blood test this morning and as the sun was shining I decided to take a trip to B&Q for some new sanding pads for my detail sander. Decided that sleep is over rated.. So got on with some more work on my speaker pods.. They're really starting to take shape, but not even half way there yet. No steak or pasties in sight either!
  23. There seems to be an obsession with food occurring! Lol
  24. Got a little more done on the custom speaker pods today.. Starting to take shape and no steaks in sight!
