  1. Ere could i get my mits on another ballast pack from somewhere to work with my HID bulb. Do all HID bulbs get the same voltage and AC (i assume HID bulbs are AC cos of the ballast pack thing)
  2. I have had lots of problems with my 'ebay hid kit from oz'. I have isolated the problem to one ballast pack. The other is ok. Both ballast packs have a rubber surround.. that i now know isolates it from other electrics. I have brand new halfords 700A battery fitted as well. I have a jap import zed. Dunno if that is an issue as they dont use H3 regular bulbs. It really pisses me off when i put the headlamps on and one wont fire up.
  3. I need tips on how to remove that feckin huge connector from the right side of the ECU. I cant wiggle out the ECU box which is really limiting my leverag on zee big connector. Thanks.
  4. .. well i mean anything that tells me how to get looms out for soldering, etc
  5. Cant find any apexi multichecker posts under Darkside TT :(
  6. Right had a look in the passenger footwell where the ECU box is. Loads of wiring looms. Is there a loom i can disconnect and remove to solder the APEXI loom to. Or do i have to do something with the ECU box? I really hope i dont screw up my zed on xmas day arf!
  7. Because i like wizzy displays ive got an Apexi multichecker of ebay. Now as the apexi manual suggests i will connect the multichecker loom to the ECU loom with those blue halfords cable splitters... so as i can still plug a conzult in can i use both at the same time or is this dangerous?
  8. I have seen a Mongoose exhaust with dual pipes per box on zcentre.co.uk But its for LWB only. Can i get a nice loud stainless steel exahaust that will fit on my decatted SWB TT zed that has the dual pipes per back box?
  9. Checkout http://www.zcentre.co.uk. Got my adjustable upper links from there for about £210. If you get them shove loads of greese (Castrol LM is good) in the removable cap things at the end.
  10. As i had a factory battery and it was leaking, leaving that white powder stuff (had this in my first car and it ate through the wing of a Ford Orion) I got myself a new battery. Could have got a cheaper one if i shopped around but i went to halfords and got the most powerfull one that would fit which is one rated at 700A crank power. The troublesome right HID headlight is now a lot more reliable but does not fire up 1/4 of the time still so tomorrow i will earth the negative feed to some bolt in the engine bay.
  11. Ok i shall fork the negative lead to also connect to the bodywork somewhere, thanks :)
  12. LWB - more stable at speed, so are SWB's prone to taking off with a sidewind?
  13. Really.. bugger its something else then. I have the 'ebay HID kit from OZ' installed in a jap import. I think the headlamps are wired different. If they are or not i dont know if that affects the HID kit i have, bluegh.
  14. From my experience most parts are plentifull in the UK as the worse zeds are being scraped and being crashed alas. Though SWB specific parts are rarer i think. And some SWB body parts are very hard to get hold of like the tailgate. I have used http://www.247spares.co.uk to get some bits and bobs for my zed. The SWB is beleived to handle a bit better than a LWB. And more so with a slick top (no targa top). Slicktop SWB's are very sought after. My 2p's worth :)
  15. Another HID related question.. I think my factory battery sometimes does not have enough juice to power both HID's at once as they each work when used alone in turn. Does anyone recomend a particular brand and type of battery or are the Halfords ones good enough..
  16. Hola, I read somewhere that if you have HID headlamps on a car they need to have headlamp washer units to pass the MOT. Have you fitted HID's to your zed and passed the MOT?
  17. Can i fit H1 bulbs from an ebay '300ZX headlight kit' in my jap import that takes H3C bulbs?
  18. Yep my TTzed was silky smooth this weekend. Cold is good, cold and wet roads aint so good :wack:
  19. I confess when i go for my weekly KFC at lunchtime i sit so i can see my zed.
  20. I wish i could have a project car to slave over. I do really like the Lotus Esprit myself too. Ive always fancied modding a Bently Turbo R :)
  21. Lets not forget those evil cows whose constant farting contributes lots of gases to the atmousphere! I am for lots of nuclear power, wind farms in people's back gardens. But the environmentalists are motivated by their pathetic middle class guilt of having money. There is technology being developed to take the carbon out of the atmousphere and pump it under the ocean. A not huge 13 cubic miles is needed to handle all the world's carbon emmisions per year.
  22. Magic Tree airfreshner for lateral force display. Though myself i have red fluffy dice. If your geeky a Car PC can be fitted for less then 400 pounds.
