The roof on the Skoda is a panoramic glass one, not retractable though.

Do cars even come with sun roofs these days? Or is it all a bit 80's?

So what's everyone doing for Christmas?
Bit of work on the Zed, few hours here and there fishing. But mostly waiting, officially two weeks left but it could be any day now.

This rings alarm bells. I think you need to proceed with caution here.

Pipe Removal
Buy some silicon replacements now. That way, how they come off matters none. You will probably discover your original ones are cracked at the ends anyways. The silicone is far more plyable.

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
Whilst I hate having a bike in the car, scratches the interior, racks scares me. The thought of a bike coming off and bouncing down the road behind you, eeek! F that. It's bad enough bouncing around in the back of pic up going up the hill. You'd be surprised how many bikes fit in a Twin cab landie.

Rust inside the rear arch & brake pipes.
Well done for sticking at it mate.

Ugly but an idea
Where did the rear arches come from again? When mine go rusty (because they are mild steel and outtside) I think il go this way.

Need advice from the track lot....
It's not the first time I've met him either! I'm just terrible with faces and names, it's part of my blend of antisocial and ignorant attitude that suits the vast amount of time I spend outside solitary. Coupled with the amount of new faces I meet every day of the week at work. I can't keep track of who is who. I responded and got the first letter right what more do you want?

Need advice from the track lot....
TBH Alex very few people in this country have any first hand experience of Z32s in this power band. Some trial and error are required and speaking to people who know thier apples on the subject. Hopefully Bob, Pete or Jaffa will be along to make some suggestions. As you know Nick has experience of owning a big power Z and he's given some good advice. The long and the short of it is you have 300hp worth of tyre there and you need more grip, however you get there.

Need advice from the track lot....
He would need to fit lower rated wastegates for that though Jeff. 14psi is wastegate pressure, you can't trick a wastegate open earlier as far as I'm aware.

Need advice from the track lot....
 Did it spin up or squirm? Reason I ask this is because if some of your suspension isn't up to task it may feel like/you may be fish tailing. Scarey shit, mine did the same when the sub frame bushes were shot and I was only chucking 370 odd BHP out there. Traction is way better now. You've got undersized tyres and dump loads of power. If the clutch is slipping though how can you be spinning at 120mph? Think logically about that. Check the condition of what you've got but the bottom line is you need more grip and a clutch. A BGW might help but I think that's the end not the beginning grip wise. Also was it wet. It's been raining here all day, that thing is going to be murderous on cold wet roads.

think I overfilled the dam gearbox!
Have you not checked the level with the dip sick?

One is never enougg
If you can get it MOT'd and nip it over it leaves me with way more options. Just got my hands full at present for reasons you know already ;). That's great news on the dye test btw. Keep us posted.

Nismo factory development 300ZX?
Wouldn't take long to remove the gash and you'd have a what looks like an ok twin turbo. It's worth anoutvhalf what he wants but hey.

Datsun Fairlady 1967
I sent the wife the link, hoping she'd take that very opinion and I'd get to save it. The response was laughter, followed by "Rust bucket.". I did check later and discovered my initial interpretation of that was correct. A good solid, "No.".

Pulsars are scary little rocket boxes. They did used to be cheap but the prices are climbing, seriously ugly though. Wether you agree or not the Silvia is a cheap alternative to the Z. It was built to be that way. Despite the price rise in them due to the popularity of them as a drift legend. Certainly cheaper and easier to own and modify. Much more suitable as a weekend warrior to abuse. I nearly brought a S14a some years ago for that very reason. Skylines, well the GTR ones are a brilliant bits of engineering. It is however a sports version of a saloon car, not exactly a pretty car or a sports car as such. Easier to drive and again like the Silvia cheaper and easier to mod. Certainly not free from their flaws though. I'd take a Z32 over a R32 anytime, unless it was a GTR then I might consider it. I wouldn't have an R33 anything though, seriously common, two down my road and the GTR is the only one to have. GTST etc are a bit naff. I'm odd though, I enjoy the larger cars and cars that are a bit of a handful. I've driven a few hot hatches and stuff and it's just not what I like. Each to there own I guess.

After seeing what's rammed behind the intercoolers on these cars air flow apparently doesn't appear a design concern. Does make you wonder how effective they even are.

Classic car price lunacy
Even the Gen 3 F-Bodies that used to be quite reasonable are shooting up. Few years back you could get a 91 Camaro IrocZ for like £4-5k, not now.
