  1. Do the test I posted a moment ago. If nothing happens to the drivers door lock when operating the passenger lock you will need an actuator in the drivers door.
  2. I like how it was tested at 500bhp by a T-Rex....or maybe it was a Diplodocus.
  3. If you lock the passenger door only (using a key or just using the lock on the inside) does that also lock the drivers door?
  4. In which case, follow my guide. - - - Updated - - - Oh.....and central locking. It DOES NOT mean you have an actuator in the drivers door! Only in the passenger one.
  5. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171779-How-To-Install-Keyless-Entry This is if you don't have an actuator already in your drivers door. If you don't have one there already, you don't need to know what colour the wire is, as you just install a powered actuator straight from the kit.
  6. Did your car have any for of keyless entry previously?
  7. Strangely enough I emailed him yesterday about it (before I realised it was a LWB). He just offered me the whole system for £200.
  8. Cost wise, it just wouldn't be worth it. Also, new LWB exhausts are still just as limited in the UK. Especially in a double twins set up.
  9. This is probably one for Funkysi or anyone else who regularly goes to the US. Having a SWB means exhausts are bloody hard to come by. I could go get a custom job, but it's always a risk as to what kind of sound you end up with. YouTube vids don't really offer much help as the cameras used are crap and the folks using them don't have a clue. So, for those that have heard SWB na's with aftermarket exhausts (Labree/ AMS/Borla etc) which one sounded best in your opinion ? I can't afford a B&B exhaust so don't recommend them! lol. and I prefer the double twins look.
  10. The bumper had sold by 9pm last night
  11. I've made an offer anyway. Will see if it's accepted or if someone does a BIN before hand.
  12. Looks cracked around the drivers side foglight. And a chunk missing out of the bottom of the lip too. Shame, as this is the right colour and I would have snapped his hand off.
  13. Its in the guides section. using a Renault Megane boot lifter.
  14. Is it not 3"? I seem to recall the adapter plates for aftermarket filters are 3" I could be wrong though.
  15. I normally use Dodo Juice, but it can be a bitch to buff off. So with the Zed being in need of a paint job anyway, I have been using up the half bottle of Meg Ultimate I had in the garage. Like you, I gotta say it does really well for something I would consider a budget wax.
  16. Legality of it aside, I would be concerned by about 99% of road users. We are all accustomed and ingrained into seeing BRIGHT red lights to mean braking. If someone was following me (and I had these fitted) I would be concerned that they would waste time wondering what the hell was happening with those lights before they reacted. By which time they could be into the back of me. I think this is the reasoning that many Marques use the indicators rapid flash to indicate heavy breaking rather than adapting the brake lights.
  17. £1100 + VAT + Import duty + Shipping Probably looking at £1500-"£1600
  18. £1090 was the cheapest I found. You could probably find a fair bit cheaper with more time spent looking. My issue turned out to be not related to the gearbox itself, so didn't need to do anymore looking around.
  19. Buy a known good 2nd hand gearbox. The quotes I had for a full rebuild were into 4 figures.
  20. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?117007-HID-light-mod&highlight=hid Phutumsch's photo guide in post 3 is pretty damn clear and in pretty good English ;)
  21. There is a very clear guide in the Tech section on the wiring. It's really quite simple to do.
  22. Getting his mates to bid to bump the price. Or it's an out and out scam.
  23. Sell up an buy a TT. Go over to the US sites, and they have extensive documented threads on what is involved to do a conversion. It is a lot of work. Alternatively fit a VH45DE V8 :)
