  1. Get a used but good OEM one from a scrapper, or see if someone can loan you one. Pointless shelling out £250 on a 1 piece if that's not what is causing your vibration.
  2. Morning folks. Just got word from the organiser that Fastlane 2014 has been booked for Sunday May 11th. This is in Corbridge, a short drive from Newcastle. It's unfortunate that this happens to be the day after Japfest, but for those who live oop-norf or Scotland and don't fancy the large trek down to Castle Combe this might be for you. It's a small local show, but gets good turn outs from the TVR, Porsche, Ferrari, and Corvette owners clubs. As well as various local clubs. If it's the same as last year, anyone showing a car in a club stand gets free entry. I'm going to initially book a 10 car stand and will be inviting this club, Z-Club, and 350z-uk Pop your name down below if you fancy it.
  3. Get a good exhaust shop to make you up a set of exhaust bungs. It'll quiet the car enough to pass the noise test, then pull them out when no one is looking.
  4. Keen to see how these bulbs are. Be sure to stick up some pics.
  5. Excellent. That's the last of my regular forums on Tapatalk now!
  6. lol! Bloody auto correct. "Stillen"!
  7. First trader confirmed. "Tarmac Sportz " will be attending. Although Chris doesn't list any Z32 items on his website, he is a Stillen dealer and can also get items from CZP and Z1 delivered to your door to save you any possible hassle with customs.
  8. I'll speak to Martin about wheelchair friendly B&B's and get back to you.
  9. Sad end for a classic car.
  10. Pfft. There's just no pleasing some people
  11. Well, Christmas is almost upon us (I can hear the moans from here), and once it's over thoughts start to turn to the 2014 show season. For those that like to book their holidays well in advance, LakeZ 2014 will be taking place Friday 27th June - Sunday 29th June Last year saw a big change to the format, and one that we feel worked well. So continuing with that, the 4th LakeZ meet will once again be completely free for those attending (Petrol and Beer not included!). The venue once again will be Cark-in-Cartmel, with the town hall serving as car parking and camping facility, and the Rose and Crown being the focus of socialising. Friday will be meet and greet with entertainment in the pub (Currently planning on an acoustic set by a decent local musician). On Saturday there will be a drive out organised. There is again the option of taking the Steam Train and steamer around the lake, a nice chilled option. Skydiving can be arranged for those persons with a twisted sense of adventure. Anyone wanting to skydive please let me know early so I can get it booked up, they get very busy. Saturday night we will be in the Town Hall. There will be a BBQ put on by a caterer, and special entertainment in the form of a Pink Floyd tribute band and then MIDGE URE!! The Rose and Crown will be providing the beer for Saturday. It will be to the same high standard but this time we have come up with a slight change which will keep the prices even lower. Instead of draught beer they will be selling bottled beer. This enables them to sell a pint for about 30% less and give a lot wider range of options. The pub will also be selling breakfast each day. Sunday will be the show and shine judging. If anyone wants to do anything else, go karting, horse riding, fishing, pretty much anything really then let me know and I will see what I can do. Camping will again be FREE, entry on the saturday night will be FREE,. All I ask is that you support the raffle to save me having to sell organs. I will be posting up more info as things are confirmed. In the meantime if you have any questions please ask. There is a massive range of accommodation locally including several rental houses which work out very cheap if you can get a group together. This is a social weekend so turn up in whatever vehicle you like. There is also a train station about 300m away. To see what attractions are nearby this is the pub we are based at, just use the postcode and google local attractions. :) http://rosecrowncarkincartmel.robinsonsbrewery.com/contact
  12. Not a clue to be honest. it was just a cut and paste! I can't imagine many MOT testers are too anal about them. just make sure they are a good size and bright enough (standard 501 bulbs are enough)
  13. They have to give an approximation of the width of the car, be able to be turned on when engine is not running as well as when it is running. This is a cut and paste from MOT regs: Max 400mm from side of vehicle Minimum separation distance: no requirement Max height 1500mm Angles of visibility - must be visible 80 degrees outboard and 45 degrees inboard. British Standard mark indicated in the photometric and physical requirements for ligting equipment under reference BS6102. No size requirement. Must be white No requirement as to wattage or intensity. No tell-tale required.
  14. Please stop calling tail lights "side lights". i know they come on with your sidelights at the front, but it confuses some of your recent threads. All 4 bulbs (2 each side) are tail/stop bulbs.
  15. Want! I just purchased a spare rear panel. Expect it to be posted to you shortly. lol
  16. Get a slicktop if you can find one as they will be the first to appreciate in value in the future as they are the rarest. Although if you are set on being a Targa, then I guess get one of those!
  17. If this happens this weekend I can't make it as I'm still on the boat. Weekend of 16th I can do though. Not that I have a LWB TT to show you, I just like meets. lol
  18. Horizontal papering is a nightmare. The chances of your ceiling being exactly parallel to the floor are pretty slim. As you move around the room, the pattern will creep up or down (depending on which way you are going) if you are using a spirit level to keep it level. If you really must do it (try your best to convince her otherwise), then use the ceiling as your horizontal plumb line. That way any mismatch in pattern will only be obvious against the skirtin boards so not as noticiable. Honestly, talk her out of it. It just won't look right.
  19. You mean Tail/Stop lights I guess. Yes you can. Search eBay for "Tail/Stop LED". Just be sure to get the same style bayonet fitting as the Zed.
  20. Did you take the day off Si?
  21. Google it. A few threads on Nico with write ups
  22. You'll find the original unit up above the brake pedal. Depending which unit you bought, you may have to switch it around when fitting as the polarity on the Chinese ones is opposite to the OEM unit.
  23. I think I'm gonna get a set mocked up on my Slicky. Will see what me and my sister can come up with using thin perspex and some cleverly applied heat.
  24. Nice one Stevie. I look forward to seeing it in person. I'm still trying to decide whether to o for one or not. (though with the cost of bushes, exhaust, and possibly a new proshaft, it'll have to wait!)
