Show everybody your hobbies
Between home and work I don't get time for hobbies as such! But I suppose I enjoy both. So my hobby at work is driving this: And when I'm on leave my hobby is looking after these two terrors:

One for the drifters.....
NeutraRust 661. From GCS. It's the same stuff I use on the ships at work. I liberated a few litres for Ian to use.

Very cool model cars
Carrying on the model car theme posted up earlier. This is worth a look: http://www.viralnova.com/toy-car-world/

One for the drifters.....
I've been meaning to update this one for a while: LS3 is now sitting on its own mounts Yup...that's a 6.2l LS3 with a T56 attached now sat neatly in a 350z. Gearbox sits perfectly meaning no adjustment to shifter or shell needed: Ian is still on the look out for sponsors for the 2014 season, so if anyone knows of any company looking to sponsor him in whatever way, then please get in touch.

300 zx major miss firing
Jez says to give him a ring anytime and he'll discuss your issues. For those reading, Luthers car was mapped with NisTune, it had a small misfire on a power run, so the boost was dialed back a touch and it cleared.

300 zx major miss firing
Done. Just waiting on Jez getting back to me. Hopefully I'll have some news in a short while.

300 zx major miss firing
Have you spoken to Jez at Horsham since it developed the issue? I'm sure he would seek to rectify the issue if it's believed the remap could have caused the problem. Let me know if you want me to speak to him for you as he is a trader on a forum that I moderate.

2014 Shows and Events List
Morning people, Below is a list of 2014 shows and events. Alongside each show is the date if known. What I want from people here is an idea as to what show's you would like to attend and which you think are a waste of time. It is proposed that at a number of these shows we will have a joint stand with Z-Club and 350z-uk. This means that we will get a better, bigger plot, and it will be a much more lively and interesting stand to be on. This list is by no means exhaustive. So please add any local shows you think we should attend no matter how big or small. It's all about getting the club names out there, and getting the social side of the scene rebooted. The Weston Park Classic Car Show - Shropshire - April 20/21 Japfest - Castle Combe - May 10th Organised through Z-Club and is already in progress. This is an inter-club stand. Redline - Corbridge - May 11th (day after JapFest which is a pain) I have already provisionally booked a 10 car stand. Trentham Gardens Classic Car - Stoke On Trent - Sunday 15th June Cholmondeley Pageant of Power - Shrewsbury(ish) - 20-22nd June http://www.cpop.co.uk LakeZ - Cark in Cartmel - 27-29th June Thread already open in this sub forum. JapShow - Santa Pod - 6th July http://www.japshow.co.uk/index.html TOTB - Elvington - 26-27th July http://www.totb.co.uk Tatton Park (Knutsford) Classic, Vintage & Sports Car Show - 16th & 17th August 2014 Japfest 2 - Donnington - 17th August http://www.japfest2.co.uk/ Trax - Silverstone - Date to be announced - http://www.traxshows.co.uk/ JapShow Finale - Santa Pod - 12th October - http://www.japshowfinale.co.uk/index.html JAE - Wicksteed Park - 4-7th September - https://www.facebook.com/JapaneseAutoExtravaganza Blackpool Illuminations Run - End Sep/start Oct (TBC) ZedFest - Sherbrooke Scout Camp Nottingham - End of August Ace Cafe Meet - Date to be confirmed - Limited spaces available. Aruba Dave does it again...

I'm not used to this......
That was with the car throughout. 3 different recovery vehicles and 2 different service stations as no one would take me the full way. I left the AA the day after.

what the best car sound deadening you can buy
I've always used FatMat. I find Dynamat hugely overrated.

I'm not used to this......
Loved every minute of owning that car. I only sold it to pay for a house deposit and a wedding. It's a Holden, so doesn't come with any of the usual made in UK/Germany VX niggles. I will own another. I'm considering selling 2 of my cars and getting another next year.

I'm not used to this......
Hop it gets sorted quickly Rich. My current record for Recovery stands at 18 hours to be recovered a total of 68 miles by the AA when my VXR8 decided to suffer full brake failure during a snow storm on the M18

what the max widest for a 18incj 8.5 j wheel
Just put 255 on it. Seriously. You will ruin the handling of your car with anything bigger.
-
a very sad day
A VIC marker is only shown on a V5 if it is Cat A, B or C. Cat D isn't required to be shown on a V5. A HPI check is the only way to find out.
-
what the max widest for a 18incj 8.5 j wheel
I would not use 275 on a 8.5j wheel. I'm sure people on here are, and that they are fine with it. But the amount of tyre pinch would be horrendous, and the car will handle like a dog.

New Inter-Club NEO....
Thanks for the welcome :) If any member has a show that they would like to see the club have a stand at, or if they have an event idea they would like to see become reality then drop me a PM and we will discuss it and see what can be done.
-
what the max widest for a 18incj 8.5 j wheel
255 is the most common, you can just get away with 265 but you will have a small amount of sidewall pinch. I tend to use this site for tyres as a rough guide: http://www.tiresandco.ca/equivalency-tables-advice.html

A worthy cause if ever there was one.
[Apologies in advance to the committee if this is against any of the rules. I've stuck it on a few forums, and didn't have time to check the regs] As a member of Round table (not King Arthurs, but the charity organisation) we have been dedicating our events to the cause of a young boy called Bradley who suffers from a rare condition. His story is explained here: http://www.bradleylowerysfight.co.uk/ This Christmas, some people have grouped together and released a single to try and raise money for his cause. Details on the single and where to download are here: http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/health/health-matters/chart-topping-hopes-for-bradley-1-6254168 I leave it completely up to people to donate, or buy the single, or whatever. Thanks for reading. Al

Having a cheeky nose in...
Do'h! Is should have known you weren't from my neck of the woods after years on 350z-uk. It's early, leave me alone! I'll PM you some links on 350z-uk later today. You have to be a subscribed member here to use PM.

Having a cheeky nose in...
Oh, and if you want a drive out in a Zed, you're only 40 mins away and I'm sure I could arrange a meet in Richmond and get a few different varieties of 300 there for you to have a look around.
