  1. Has anyone hardwired a USB charger? I'm gonna be using my android phone with my new head unit, but the bluetooth drains the battery of the phone like a darts player drains Johns Smiths. I was thinking of just butchering a 12v belkin adapter (the kind that plugs into the cig lighter) and taking a live feed from behind the cig lighter. If I have it right, a 12v to 5v/1amp will do the job. What have other done? Or see anything massively wrong with my idea?
  2. My bad...shoudl have said 35w or 55w
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XENON-HID-CONVERSION-KIT-NISSAN-300ZX-H3-/310213954935?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item483a314d77 Find these on Amazon. Quite a few members here have this kit (me included although I have 5000k bulbs in mine)
  4. ok...... You want 35watt, H3, 5000k You can use 4300k, 5000k, or 6000k. anything higher is too blue and you get no usable light. I use 5000k and they are a good white, and offer good vision down the road.
  5. Cold oil is less viscuous (thicker) and thus you get a higher pressure. - - - Updated - - - Bloody hell Si....beat me to it again!
  6. eBay are always gonna be the cheapest place to get them. A good £20 cheaper than most online retailers.
  7. Basically unplug the connector from the current OEM one, fit your new one "upside down" if you see what I mean. You'll need to bend the 2 spades on the top pin 90 degrees to make them fit when you plug it in. - - - Updated - - - You're indicators won't work at all if you put it in the wrong way. So it's pretty easy to see if you have got it wrong. Then just switch it round.
  8. How many "what size tyre" threads do you have running now?!!? Once again I will refer you to this: http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/tyre-size-for-rim-width_topic60146.html Then once you have the width, you can use another calculator to get the profile to maintain correct rolling radius.
  9. This is definitely on. Address can be found on this FB link: https://www.facebook.com/FALCON.PERFORMANCE I'm not the organiser, but any questions can be aimed at me and I will get you an answer. Confirmation of names below please :) 1. Lexx
  10. H3's are the equivalent in the UK and fit with a little tweaking. You could also take this opertunity to upgrade to HIDs if you wanted. They make such a difference in driving visibility. £30 will get you a set.
  11. Dirty or wet MAF?
  12. Update for you. Due to the complexity and cost of organising such a large headline act (you would not believe the cost of lighting technicians!) the free Hog roast has had to be dropped. In general this costs around £700 each time, and we simply don't have the funds to pay for it this year. Instead there will be a BBQ put on by the Rose and Crown, and whilst you will be charged for burgers etc, I will endeavour to keep it down to cost price. Sorry for this, but unless anyone wants to throw £700 of sponsorship my way then it's the way it has to be.
  13. Dicky - I'll be askin for registrations via PM later in the year. You may want to avoid posting yours up on an open forum ;)
  14. This may be getting cancelled. Bare with me whilst I get the details.
  15. I just realised you mean the single dome light, and not the main unit. None of them on eBay. There are plenty of cars being broken on eBay at the minute though. Message those people
  16. Yeah I know. Ignore my signature. I typed it wrong and ain't got around to correcting it!
  17. Totally sympathise with you. The wiring in my Zed is shocking. A previous owner had an "expert" run wiring for a sub to the boot, and a Nokia charger cable to the clove box. Much of those were held together with tape or scotchlocks. It's a shambles. I've managed to sort some, but there is still more to do. I keep meaning to get around to tidying it all up, but I never seem to get enough time to do it. And to be honest, until my new garage is built I don't have the space to strip the dash etc out to sort it out.
  18. I've used these in the past: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H1-Philips-X-treme-Vision-100-Headlight-Bulbs.html
  19. As above. No need for HIDs in main beam in my opinion. For the small amount of time you actually use them, good quality H1 bulbs in there will be more than adequate.
  20. You need to be subscribed to use PM mate
  21. Still more than welcome. As Rich says, there is a public car park next to the museum. I'm told by museum staff that it costs £3 per day.
  22. We have a guy on 350z-uk who does his own shot-blasting in his shed. He's never mentioned any panel distortion. Having used shotblast on the boats, I would suspect distorted panels are a result of too high a pressure and being too close to the object. So long as you have faith in the person you choose and they have a good reputation, you should be ok.
  23. I'll be there obviously ;) The below image is the area the club will be displaying on: We will have some kind of marshalling going on when you arrive, so please follow instructions and park as directed to ensure all members get parked safely.
  24. Cheers Steve.
