do i sell or not ?
Well I timed my old TT LWB Manual before and after boost increase, with Datascan, which uses the vehicle speed sensor to test your vehicle 0-60 and 0-100. It had Exhaust, decat, induction, JD chip and 265 rear tyres. Stock 0-60 : 5.6 secs 0-100 : 14.1 secs 14psi Boost 0-60 : 4.7 secs 0-100 : 12.9 secs Felt like a different car !

Pics of the Z with new paint job and new TheTwinZ bodykit!!
Looks fantastic. Front bumper has never been to my style, but I don't mind it now with the new improvements, the rest of the car is stunning. Those are the skirts I would ideally have. I cant wait for you to bring out the diffuser rear bumper...I want one so badly.

Oil starvation solutions for the track
On the VG I was planning on the SZ sump, with the possibility of adding an Accusump system if I find its needed. SPL found an accusump helped, but did'nt completely solve the oil problems they had been having on some tracks. I believe they were running with the stock sump though. The plan has always been to go with a modified VH45 (Nissan 4.5i V8) lump later on down the line, with a Dry sump system though.

Absolutely. The UAS car and SPL car are really setting standards out there

Electric fan draining battery
While we are on the topic of waterpump pulleys.....An overdrive pulley and the Jap spec pulley are both smaller than a UK pulley. Nissan designed the Jap spec water pump with its smaller pulley to spin faster than the UK spec...my guess is becuase the UK spec would be driven at a higher sustained speed...so the pump would spend more time spinning faster than a Jap spec so they had to underdrive it. I'd be interested to know the size difference of an overdrive pulley compared to the Jap and UK spec pulleys.

Electric fan draining battery
Agree with what your saying smithy. Although the Stock viscous fan is more efficient than an electric fan. Stock fan is 6000cfm on full chat, all the electric fans I have seen are 2-3000cfm....although I guess you could look at it that the electric fan would possibly be pushing more air than the viscous fan would be when its not on full chat.

Drag ZX Pics
Nice one Lee. Looks a very impressive spec. Bumper extension looks better than stock, but still looks dated imo , I much prefer 99spec.

Electric fan draining battery
Aux fan with come on if water temp is in the mid 90's (oveheating). TT has 2 speed system, I cant remember the exact details though. stock Temp gauge wont move from the middle position till temp is above 100 C (ie. quite badly overheating). Never trust it. Go Aftermarket.

Whats my engine worth?
A good stock engine that can be heard running, and compression tested will typically fetch around £750. Injectors could fetch £250-£300 on top. Might be better selling them seperate as ed suggested.

Clearance bulbs(sidelight)
illegal and look chav...so why bother

thinking of selling up
Hope you change your mind, you've got a nice looking example. It always seems that just as soon as somebody has spent a load of money and got the car to how they want it....they then quickly get bored of it and want to sell. Noticed that a lot. :(

A BIG THANK YOU to Paul@SWZ...
Paul is currently sleeping of the 1300 mile journey. We left 11pm Monday, got home 3am wednesday, with less than an hours sleep in motorway services car park. Dropped Friday's car off and collected Steves in Aberdeen and another one in Dundee. Ran out of fuel once, and had a blowout on motorway. :smw: ...and there is another 2 to collect this week !, which would be the 11th 300zx in the past month. ....oh and we did'nt see a single other 300zx on the way there or back. Nice to meet you Leigh and Steve. Sorry I was'nt very chatty....I felt like a zombie lol

What polish/wax do you use?
used to used Autoglm until I discovered Mequires  Zymol is top notch, but damn expensive (£100 for basic starter kit)

Just Killed my engine
Changing bearings in situ is'nt a problem. Get the car in teh air, drop the front subframe so it hangs low and unbolt sump. The trouble is crank condition, usually the damage is done and considering you have been driving it I'd say there is very little chance of the crank being any good. The last set I did lasted about 3 miles and the crank looked/felt fine :(

whats my car worth
Dont bother with Ebay IMO. Stick up a well detailed thread with plenty of pics on here, pistonheads and pn Autotrader.

July's meet??
If my Z was on the road then you wouldn't be able to keep me away...and hopefully that will be happening very soon. But my enthusiasm for meets is at an all time low lately. Its just frustrating being without, when your surrounded my fellow owners enjoying theirs. Plus any spare cash and time (which are both also at an all time low) needs to go towards getting it on the road anyhow.

Top gear reminder
and better looking than the GTR....and it does'nt look dated in comparison at all.

Thinking about a 350Z
Nice one lee. Many people are so negative about Zed prices as all they ever see is the rubbish on ebay going at rock bottom There have been quite a number of Z32's sold for between the £8k-12k bracket in the past year or so that I know off. :) Unfortunately I also know of quite a few fully working and road legal examples sold for well under £1k too ! :(

Oil starvation solutions for the track
Contact specialtyz.com They make a Larger capacity baffled sump for the VG. I've had a quote from them, but I cant find the details now. I believe Jaffa has purchased one. There is also the accusump option too, which many have had results with.

Electric fan draining battery
What temp do you have it switching on at ?

experimenting...
That'll do. Wires everywhere at moment, as Im wiring in some feeds for Water and oil temperature display I've directed all the air that would of come out the right vent into the left hand vent.
