Jun ecu
Popular ECU from Japan, they offered differnt versions. Tend to be mapped for Higher octane fuel so make sure you always use opimax/v-power ..etc. Was'nt much point buying it if your just going to get it reprogrammed though LOL Its just a stock ECU with a 'Mines' remap.

frameless doors b pillar
I wish they had ditched them when they moved the belts to the Pillars. I definatly prefer a pillar-less door. My Celica is pillarless, as is the 200sx All UK Zed's have the belts on the B-pillars instead of the doors, and the same for all imports from late 92 onwards.

new GTR
Saw one today, came pass me on the M4 near Newbury. Was a bit of a shock. Was'nt very flattering in red tbh, bad colour choice, a big looking car.

Centre Bearing
No special tools needed. Its fairly straight forward. Other than what paul mentioned there is a 27mm nut that holds the flange on the end of the front half of prop which you need to remove and hammer off the end to get the bearing off. Make sure you mark the two halves of the propshaft before seperating, so they go back together in the same place, and make note of which order centre bearing washers go on the Bearing carrier. and as Paul mentioned, your rear gearbox mount is the likely culprit to the bearing failure.

ECU numbers
I have quite a few ECU's here , but no idea what a lot of them are (TT/NA - Man/Auto)......is there a way to tell with the Number on them ? Will the Nissan FAST software tell me ?

petrol
It was only 6-7 months ago that it was less than £1 per litre. My local garage is still asking 123.9p for Unleaded and diesel was 133.9p (I think)

A sad day
Why not get rid of the scorpio and get yourself something much cheaper on fuel and insurance ? Would certaintly help with monthly costs, although if your after a lump sump of cash then thats no good I guess.

Best Turbos
Garrett m24 is what all the 300zx standard turbo housings have written on them. Stage 3 would most likely mean you have larger impellors and 360 bearings in stock Housings. Will make a bit more power than stock but not 350 each Im afraid.

Which greddy kit ? Mac_1 has the 18G's

Best Turbos
If I was to upgrade, it would probbaly be for teh Z1 GT675RS Kit or HKS 2530's , combined with decent manifolds they'll offer decent power without too much lag. Both are good for 500 + RWHP with supporting modifications.

HELP! zed thinks im doing 170 when im only doin 40mph!!!
Speed sensor is on the Gearbox, and a faulty one will cause speedo, PAS and Hicas problems. As will a faulty KPH>MPH Convertor, and its a more common failure.

OEM oil filter information.
The original filter was discontinued many years ago (about 6 years ago), so everybody has been using the current Nissan OEM filter (55Y) since then.

Jets vs Electronic Controllers
A TT fitted with a Electronic boost controller will be quicker than it will with Boost jets. An EBC allows you to control the way the car builds up the boost, it will build up quicker with an EBC, plus a EBC will hold the desired boost through the entire rev range, whereas Boostjets tend to spike and then drop down as the revs build. They also usually double as a Boost gauge, and many have other features too. You can get decent EBC's from £150+

Another retrim thread!
I did my first TT in Leather for the seats and Leatherette for the Panels. I was happy with both, but I defnatley would'nt do the seats in Leatherette. I paid more for my current retrimmed panels to be in leather though.

Retrimming a SWB
I think, from memory the trimmer that has done my panels charges around £1200 for SWB interior (seats and panels) in leather.

Redline MT90 or Royal Purple Syncromax?...
Anyone has any bad feedback on Royal Purple ? I Need to order fluids this week (gearbox and Diff) Syncromax or Max Gear for gearbox?
-
Another retrim thread!
Yep, same for be on my previous LWB, I bought 4 Metres but had loads left. Leatherette is very cheap, like £7-£8 per metre. Leather is very expensive on the other hand, about £200 for a hide.
