  1. I found it, I knew there was a wanted thread for one of those, suggest you pm the op . https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?189868-94-96-Keyless-Remote-Fob-Switch Re the ebay link in post 11, I bought one of those but straight out the box it doesn't work, I do doubt it's a fob issue - it's more probably how an aftermarket Toad one is wired up which is stopping it working.
  2. Good shout, needs a space though :p.
  3. The U shaped hose - I carefully migrated that from my donor on Sunday, it was in beautiful condition and even more pleasing now it's NLA. Edit and looking into this again, the one I took off my 94 is not genuine, I did think it might of been a Nissan cost saving exercise but it's clearly been swapped out, you have to ask yourself why and using the jubilee clips , so this is now on my donor. So how many hundreds time better is this, even the milky fold over clip on mine was broke but not anymore :thumbup1:.
  4. Having a donor is great, especially one exactly the same age, you can look at it all around and swap at will, for instance I've always liked the fuel pipes with the swiss cheese holed sheaths, I've never had them, so I carefully removed and one by one migrated them over.... And the one near the throttle cable was not left out, I also took the opportunity to replace other fuel pipes and some will notice I used where I could the spring type clamps, mostly the 12mm ones. OEM throttle cover fitted for a short while anyway, it's a n/a one, tt ones have a red strip fyi. Next, I have the bonnet struts and these lift it higher than you would with the bonnet stay which put strain on the screen wash pipes, so noticing the donor had a black clamp that mine hadn't, I took off the wing that I had put back on the day before and re routed slightly giving me a few inches to play with, more job satisfaction . And finally, the donor being a n/a had a cable routed with these two clamps, mine having electronic hicas I had nothing here and so I thought i'm having those and I managed to put them to use you'll notice. Now for the purists out there, notice the bleed nipple, the donor had a rubber cap still in place and yes you've guessed it - migrated over :).
  5. Need jet washing but other than that they don't look bad...…….oh and you get a Clifford remote start alarm thrown in - if I've read right that is :surrender::mad::whistling:. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nissan-300-zx-fairlady-twin-turbo-t-bar/223217780069?hash=item33f8d10565:g:stYAAOSw5Qtb33~E:rk:1:pf:0
  6. 5 against 5 against 5  Oh and with an infinite number of 3's !!
  7. Welcome, shouldn't it have an apostrophe .
  8. All the best Simon [emoji3]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Please no, not of the head board! Just leave us with the images we all have in our heads that’s more than enough thank you very much [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Scuttle panel but plastic thingy below the windscreen and above the battery works just the same :tt2:.
  11. Thread revival alert...…… I've been liaising with Greg these last few days over this and that and have told him about 'my find' or lack of it !! On my donor JDM 1995 I always knew the mirrors folded out when the acc position was reached with the key and they folded in when the doors were remotely locked, so behaving like this it was safe to believe that I've got the ultra rare factory auto closing module that 'lucky' Greg has got - sadly not, see below :mad2:. Two piggy backing relays behind the radio console, skilfully done I might add at some point in the cars life but not really what I wanted to see.
  12. It's a solid roofed 2+2, stop being silly everybody .
  13. eeeeeeek, this is far worse than my April 1995 donor :confused1:.
  14. Wondered who that was with a Mexico F1 prediction .
  15. Oh Simon, making me worry, so I went out and fit these on my donor and can report...…………………………I cannot notice any difference thankfully !!! I am not going to pretend to know but it seems the 'logo' is a legal requirement in the USA but on the passenger side for them which is r/h and on the drivers on JDM, so mine.
  16. I do remember when I used to drive my car, over 2 years ago now , that I felt the mid range Nokian tyres that I went for on the fronts were not up to much. So after much pondering I had a package delivered today :detective:. As far as i can tell i'm happy with the 255/40/17 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's on the rear and so wanting something very sticky and after reading review after review, I bought a couple of Yok's in exactly the same size as before and yes I know a 40 profile is wrong but aesthetically I prefer it and that's all that matters . 235/40/17 Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R, so I like tyres with long names :helpsmilie:.
  17. Left and right must be all that matters. Get yourself a LHD steering wheel added to your basket whilst you’re at it [emoji12]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I know my centre boot trim as a broken leg, apart from some minor scuffs it's in great nick so I thought i'd get the one out of my LWB donor and use that but can you spot the difference . I cannot possibly use a LWB part on my car , instead I've had to mend mine, so I used the mitre superglue activator kit stuff then for good measure used supafix adhesive with black reinforcing filling powder, I don't want to flex much atm to test but it seems a strong repair. It also shows how much deeper a SWB boot is.

  20. Pictures shows two...……...I do have four !! Ebay, loads of choice on there for 501 or T10 bulbs.
  21. I have some oem bulbs but I've had these in for many years now, as you can see they're the smd type, won't get as warm and with them being red to start with, I find the brake lens lights that bit redder :thumbup1:.
  22. I didn't know that someone else shared my view of a periodic retest, not so much a retest though, which will include an eye test, more of a refresher competence test, politics would come into play here because most of the public would be against (fear of failing the test) especially if the government at the time said there was a charge to pay. It makes absolute no sense atm, pass at 17 and drive without anyone bothering you for 50 plus years and you're in charge of a ton and a half lethal weapon, you certainly wouldn't work for a company or have a profession where there wouldn't be a course to go on for that period of time.
  23. That would help :whistling:.
  24. Not sure what Gary is on about here. I have what you’d call a cheap charger and it’s fine. I have a 2 or 6 amp switch on it, I only ever use it at the lowest setting. I plug in and the indicator goes down as the volts go up, once it reaches 14.4v, it flicks to trickle and maintains 12.6v. Pretty sure they all work the same way. The link you put up is £19.99 at Argos fyi [emoji3].
  25. They seem fine but no promises because i'm not sure on what is happening with regard the shell/bodywork atm, it will be at least 2 months before the car is broken up, so I can only say at this stage your interest is noted Paul, thank you.
