  1. A the back of the engine ? To bypass the heater matrix if its leaking.
  2. After I fixed the hand brake, I did a quick check on a few things and then discovered loads of loose bolts. The brake callipers were bolted on near thumb tight and the main bolts securing the hub never had any cotter pins. Crazy wee things like that will end up with a MOT fail. Next thing to do is bleed the brakes but i'm needing to buy or make a bleed kit and also get somebody to push the brake as I do it.
  3. Next issue to resolve was my hand brake; which was near non existent. Off comes the rear wheels which surprisingly were held on with just hand tight bolt; oops. It took me a few attempts to work out the procedure to fix the hand brake but I got there in the end and now its tight enough on both sides.
  4. Out of my loft comes my exhaust which I've not laid eyes on for a few years. Very dirty looking so I gave them a quick scrub and polish.
  5. I have a few more days before the concept order arrives so over the weekend I cracked on with a few other jobs. First was the entertainment, fitted my speakers, new dab antenna and new pioneer radio. Not any pictures here as they are just the base speakers I could get for little money, but the stereo is digital and has speaker phone built in which is needed.
  6. Never even thought about calling; sorry. Its been dispatched along with a few other parts I needed so not to worry.
  7. What's the difference? Surely mirrors are just the same.
  8. Concept sell them and they will have the parts listed.
  9. Some wiring to do but the ECU is now fitted.
  10. Slightly cleaner than mine :) But I haven't fitted my exhaust or gearbox yet .
  11. Understood, fit the boss underneath that same pipe so it's mostly hidden from view.
  12. The sensor is needed and used directly by the ecu. I could have got a boss welded in lower down but I've already filled my radiator and it would be a bigger pain to get the intake pipes back out.
  13. My understanding is that it has to be placed before and as close to the throttle bodies as possible.
  14. I know, Imagine my horror when I discovered the part was missing. All because of that once piece I cant fit the gearbox or start her up.
  15. I'm needing to get new bosses welded onto my exhaust and plan to bring the cables up through the old cat sensor holes. Also needing a new boss welded onto the intake pipe and i'm thinking the best and easiest place to put it is like the following :
  16. Also have 3 new sensors to fit; two being the wideband o2 and the other the IAT sensor. Also a new boost solenoid but i'm not sure exactly where to plumb that in yet.
  17. So looks like nobody in the UK has stock of this part so I've done another order with conceptz. I must be there favourite UK customer with orders every second week.
  18. Link G4+ ECU now unlocked and functioning, base map loaded and now i'm trying to work out where to place all the sensors.
  19. As I await the bearing sleeve this morning I've hooked up the battery properly to retest the electronics. Luckily the ECU is now powering up which is great news. Just need to wait for the god damn laptop to do a bunch of updates before I can get into the tuning software.
  20. My zed has officially been booked in for a mapping session on the 31st, so better get cracking getting it ready and started up.
  21. This is the part I need that has been chucked out by accident.
  22. Spot the abnormal clutch hose length, not sure whats up with this ?
  23. Clutch fitted and also fitted the new clutch fluid hose which I bought from conceptz over 6 months ago.
  24. Planned on doing lots today but i'm guessing it was a day destined looking for lost parts. The plan was to get the car jacked up, new flywheel fitted, clutch fitted then prep the gearbox with its new parts. But after fitting the clutch and moving to work on the gearbox I've realised that the throw-out bearing sleeve was missing. Its likely still attached to the old clutch fork which was also missing. Now I have to order a new one and the gearbox install will be delayed for a few days.
