  1. So road trip for this Tuesday night as Trevor and myself plan to head down to Bury St Edmunds to collect some parts then on the way back we plan to stop in at Mikes and collect the fresh new engine that he has built for me. For the moment i'm working on getting some other wiring done to fit the alarm and some spare loom to add in things like the rear fog and also my light up red el panel which is also on the back. After pushing the zed out of the garage she was given a good foam bath and then dry / polish. Lots to do and hopefully if the weather is ok tomorrow i'll start on the mess of an alarm that I want installed. Anyone know how to sort this mess out ?
  2. Big expectations for the NEC this year so a little pre prep work before she gets there.
  3. Sorry, somebody uploaded it to FB, it's a video

  5. Hi, how did you pay, was it PayPal?
  6. I must admit I did walk across carpet at some point. Sure it was between the entrance and the toilets, lol
  7. Used to love watching it'll be alright on the night.
  8. I think I've sorted it, it was a permission issue with the new security groups we now use.
  9. Is it showing now ?
  10. Last minute update from Mike. Only the left side is built; because we have some missing bolts that I need to find and send to him tomorrow.
  11. engine coming along nicely ;
  12. Just about to start on the driver side sensor. Need to extend the cable down under the dash and over to the ecu area.
  13. Thanks Gary for closing my thread. :yes:
  14. While I wait for the engine to be built I've started doing the more tedious jobs. Like fitting the alarm. Its a toad ai606, but I've purchased different microwave sensors so that I can build the sensors into the a-pillers. First I drilled a pilot hole then gradually used a larger and larger drill bit until I got to a suitable size for the sensor to fit snug. At the back I dabbed the cable and sensor in hot glue to keep the cable from snagging or pulling on the sensor. This give it a very natural fit and when put back in place you wouldn't even know it was there.

  16. I've looked up the wiring diagram and managed to get a ignition feed from pin 109 for my guages If i can't work out what other pin is permanent then i will take a fresh feed from the battery.
  17. Managed to find an ignition live on the ecu, just need to test for a permanent live connection. I'm installing my own fuse box for accessories like gauges so a heavier gauge of wire connection point is better. The connections on the ecu are much larger, I had this wired up on my old zed but can't mind how I did it.
  18. Dow, thats kinda obvious now. Cheers
  19. Hi, Looking to setup my alarm and gauges without having to strip the ignition barrel and loom. Is there a way to tap into the loom that goes into the ECU ? I'm looking for a permanent live and a switch live when the ignition is in.
  20. Engine build finally started.
  21. Honestly no idea what is causing the issues your getting Simon, The only change made to the club site was the addition of the front page which is wordpress. Before that we had a redirect to move you onto the forums section
  22. The forums have been rejigged a week or so ago, try to post now in that section I've modified the permissions.
