  1. It was plug and play, Initially it wouldn't power up but discovered that was because the ecu plug was not in tight enough.
  2. So is there injector cabling changes i need to be aware of? The ecu itself is operational and is powering up and reading all sensors. Prior to this spark issue which might not even be an issue based on the information presented by Nick and Joel the engine cranks perfectly fine (when i have a charged battery) but just wont start, so the presumption was to be either fuel or the spark.
  3. So tracing the fault i found a 10amp ignition fuse blown, Replaced it and it blew again. Seems i have a short somewhere.
  4. not getting power the the relay so need to trace back from there. The next place is the 30amp fuse next to the rear left of the engine, but i dont think that is blown.
  5. Taken from the oz site :
  6. yeh, tried that a few times. The ecu only controls the negative side on pin 16, the other side goes to a fusable link holder, but not sure which one it is.
  7. So the next pain in my side on my zed is now an electrical issue. Seems i have no spark on the coil packs. Tested the ignition relay by testing voltage between pins 1 and 2 and then cranked the ignition but i get 0 voltage.
  8. Mine is a series 2, completely different loom. I have traced it back to the ignition relay and even that is not getting power.
  9. Still trying to resolve my starting issues, currently i have no spark at all ! She cranks over fine, but when i pulled a coil pack and plug i get no spark against the plenum. Thinking it may be a power issue so charging the battery up quickly to do another test. Already tested the obvious earth points, also the cas and ptu connectors.
  10. Presuming the cable is a pull to earth; If you take the wire off and short to ground does it stay on constant or still flicker?
  11. We used to have a spitfire near heath-field / Prestwick Air Port mounted similar to that. That was until it took off without permission and landed in the car park.
  12. For the 2019 Poll i think we should change things up abit. Speaking to Nick the other day on how people may be reserved to vote untill they start to see a leader we wondered what it would be like to have a blind pole where nobody sees the result until its all over. That way it leaves more suspense and surprise to when the winner is anounced when the timer expires.
  13. Ha, wish I spotted that first.
  14. Hi all, This is a general notice for everyone to try an refrain from using these characters in new thread titles :- " ( ) # % { } | \ ^ ~ [ ] ` The reason being new security protocols introduced means that web servers including our own generally wont process any of the characters if found within the main URL of the web page that you try to view. i.e If you create a Thread title like :- My new Zed (its awesome) vbulletin will generate a thread link like this :- https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?18333330-My-new-Zed-(its-awesome) And if clicked you will get a 404 not found error. Another example of this would we this genuine thread (which i have left as unfixed.) :- https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?183330-Sad-news-very-well-loved-Zed-member-has-passed-away-(martinmac) To get to this thread without the error please just remove the title after the thread id number https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?183330 To permanently fix this a Mod or Admin will need to manually edit the thread and remove the now unsafe characters from the title.
  15. It happens because characters like " # % { } | \ ^ ~ [ ] ` are now deemed as unsafe to be used in a URL and web servers wont process them any longer. The only way to fix the issue is to edit the original thread and remove the characters. Unfortunately we have no way to stop people creating new threads with these characters in the title so its a manual process to remove them afterwards.
  16. Haven't touched anything, actually not even at home, using my phone to post while my wife is driving.
  17. Other non premium members have voted.
  18. Voting should be open to everyone, why has it taken so long to say there is something wrong?
  19. Just a week update. Worked a few hours yesterday trying to put my zed back together. After the new turbo oil pipe was attached i needed to reinstall the steering linkage, down pipes and exhaust still. I primed the oil lines again by cranking it a few times with the fuel relay fuse out which worked fine. I then popped the fuse back in and tried it again and it wouldn't crank again :( Low power on the battery i presume so left it overnight to give it a quick charge. This morning i tried it again and while i can get it to crank now; it still wont start. :( I'm thinking this is just ECU settings as i have a Link G4+ ECU, but is anyone else running with this ? It would great if someone could send me a copy of there base map to get me started.
  20. On mine, I had Boost, Oil Pressure and Water Temp
  21. JaiKai replied to Chris300's topic in Forum Issue Tracker
    Now fixed.
  22. It wasn't a ban :tt2:, only a suggestion but being the great man that Joel is he stood down from defaulting on the top spot.
