Time for a clearout of the old Events and Meetings sub forums. Too many to list and with the loss of so many zeds over the years we have combined many of the sections. In order of appearance we now have the following : General Area Announcements National Events Scotland Wales Ireland England - North (North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Humber) England - Midlands (West Midlands, East Midlands and the East of England) England - South (South West, South East and London) If your much like me and your geography is crap, here is a nice little map : And to follow on with the new areas i think we should run a club census on each area to give us an idea of the membership base around whats left of the UK. I've started a new poll which doesn't have a end date and allows us all to see where we are.

Old sections archived and new ones created. Let me know who the REO's are for wales, and the England sections.

My Geography of England is crap, so if someone can direct me on what sub forums to merge i will do it now.

That section used to be locked down to mods and committee. Likely an inherited permission that needs to be reset. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Battery now has full charge :) Put plugs back in, along with the coil packs then put the ecu back . After plugging the fuse back in for the fuel pump i can confirm the relay previously mentioned has power on both pins that it needs. Just nipped in for a quick coffee and heat up and i'll go back out and work on doing a spark test. I'll just pull the fuel relay as you mention previously.

It came from my last zed and worked fine.

I'm running a wiring specialists harness anyways so again completely different :)

It was plug and play, Initially it wouldn't power up but discovered that was because the ecu plug was not in tight enough.

So is there injector cabling changes i need to be aware of? The ecu itself is operational and is powering up and reading all sensors. Prior to this spark issue which might not even be an issue based on the information presented by Nick and Joel the engine cranks perfectly fine (when i have a charged battery) but just wont start, so the presumption was to be either fuel or the spark.

So tracing the fault i found a 10amp ignition fuse blown, Replaced it and it blew again. Seems i have a short somewhere.

not getting power the the relay so need to trace back from there. The next place is the 30amp fuse next to the rear left of the engine, but i dont think that is blown.

yeh, tried that a few times. The ecu only controls the negative side on pin 16, the other side goes to a fusable link holder, but not sure which one it is.

So the next pain in my side on my zed is now an electrical issue. Seems i have no spark on the coil packs. Tested the ignition relay by testing voltage between pins 1 and 2 and then cranked the ignition but i get 0 voltage.

Mine is a series 2, completely different loom. I have traced it back to the ignition relay and even that is not getting power.

Still trying to resolve my starting issues, currently i have no spark at all ! She cranks over fine, but when i pulled a coil pack and plug i get no spark against the plenum. Thinking it may be a power issue so charging the battery up quickly to do another test. Already tested the obvious earth points, also the cas and ptu connectors.

Presuming the cable is a pull to earth; If you take the wire off and short to ground does it stay on constant or still flicker?

We used to have a spitfire near heath-field / Prestwick Air Port mounted similar to that. That was until it took off without permission and landed in the car park.

For the 2019 Poll i think we should change things up abit.
