  1. Going to get them tested first.
  2. Turns over by hand easily. We think it is a busted Injector which in turn ceased the turbos when the engine failed the first time.
  3. Too long ago now to remember what packaging it was.
  4. Nismo 740cc purchased new from Conceptz
  5. To be honest i can only do what i do with a zed. If it came to another motor i likely would be lost.
  6. Not actually taken the rail off yet but intend to check it out today.
  7. As far as the debri in the plenum i can only guess that it came from the purple rain engine that blew up. I was sure that the plenum was cleaned out but i may have cleaned another as i have a few spare. This time no more chances as its getting a good rinse and degrease in a bath.
  8. Not taking any chances with the over fueling we believe one of the injectors is jammed open so out those come. plan to send them away to get them flow tested.
  9. Also thinking of changing the studs as a few of them are stripped
  10. From the outside the turbos are very clean apart from one of them but the spindals are very hard to rotate.
  11. And we have two busted turbos with ceased bairings. Pictures to follow.
  12. Did I predict this correctly or what! This was back in May. In the news today that spitting image is returning and has already made the new puppets.
  13. Engine is near enough stripped ready to be pulled. Just the oil line, pas lines and water at the back.
  14. And gearbox now off too.
  15. Exhaust and prop now off. Just unbolting the gearbox.
  16. Zed back on axle stands. Draining the fluids again, then will proceed with full removal of the engine
  17. Intercoolers were purchased from a member but were brand new as they were wrapped and ends were sealed. Plenum however came from the previous build that we know blew up back in 2015. Now i clearly remember hosing that thing down in and out before fitting to this build but its possable thats where the material came from. I'll have the engine stripped again tomorrow and hopefully i got lucky as the engine as is never started; it was only cranked over.
  18. Just a cheap scope we had, i would need to do a proper strip of the heads to see for sure.
  19. Nothing has been powder coated. The filings that were found were on the passenger side only. Not sure how they got there, but plan to take the plenum off tomorrow and give it a good look at. The tops of the cylinders looked ok and intact when using the borascope.
  20. Not to plan as such. Thought we had an issue with the starter or flywheel at first. We then proceeded to check everything over and removed the coil packs and plugs to inspect the heads. Chamber 5 was spotless so it was either no spark or no fuel; but seeing as it wouldn't start and locked up quickly we think we have a stuck injector as the first fault. Next which was the biggest unknown issue is we found metal filings in the plenum which I've been told could be turbo failure. At this point it's engine out to get the turbos off and inspect and clean everything again. We cranked her a few times before discovering the material so I doubt damage to the engine, but we won't know until its stripped again. Good news is we used a bora scope on the heads and they look fine.
  21. Zed has arrived safely at DynaTune.
  22. First start and mapping tomorrow so zed is out the garage and will spend a night on the trailer until the morning now.
