I may have spotted a zed in a youtube video i was watching. What do you think ? Full video is here :

Sump is now off :) To get into the driver side bolts i had to remove the turbo, oil tree and gearbox brackets. Good news is there is no apparent shavings and i used a magnet all round the bottom of the sump.

Engine now removed, and bolted on to the stand. I now have a huge void in my zed again and a puddle of water and oil on the floor.

New engine crane has just arrived , Time to start building.

Not posted in a while with an update of my zed as its not really great news. At the start of last month i did manage to get the car started and got her up to temperature but she developed a low end tick. So after some advice she is stripped down again ready to pull the engine out to inspect the bottom end. Only took me a few hours to strip her down as i'm getting fairly efficient in the process but i never had an engine stand or crane to pull the engine back out. I now have a new stand and a new crane i currently on route hopefully arriving today. Soon as the engine is back out i can flip it over and remove the sump for inspection. Hopefully its nothing serious and i can get it sorted asap.

Upgrade process is automatic now ! Usually happens within an hour of the first new post.

So found myself with a strange situation of my zed been stuck outside on the stones. Today for the first time in months the zed was off its stilts and was towed backwards out of the garage onto the stones. I done this to clear up all the oil leaks and various other fluids spilt on the garage floor. Getting it out was easy enough as i just used the wifes car to tow her out. Two hours later when we went to push her manually back in she wouldnt budge. Turns out when i fitted the calipers and discs i tightened the handbrake shoe far too tight. So i had to jack the car up on the stones and remove both wheels to adjust the shoes and release the brakes. 3 Hours for a simple 30 minute clean up job.

Sorry about the small glitch to the club site as we went offline for about a minute. The server has a few updates that needed a reboot and over the last few days i keep forgetting to do it. Likely no-one but Gaz noticed so we are all good.

Another thing I just spotted is the harness bracket. Mine is reversed and is on the left side of the steering rack.

So the top plugs I'm sure are for the air vent sensors. Not sure about the others as my loom doesn't have anything like that on it.

what series a zed is this ? my loom area on mine is dismantled at the moment so i can go out shortly and compare my loom. Is the lower picture not the connections for cruise and horn ? They look very similar to what i have on my series 4, my cruise plugs into a stalk rather than on the steering so they have separate connectors.
