  1. Understood, fit the boss underneath that same pipe so it's mostly hidden from view.
  2. The sensor is needed and used directly by the ecu. I could have got a boss welded in lower down but I've already filled my radiator and it would be a bigger pain to get the intake pipes back out.
  3. My understanding is that it has to be placed before and as close to the throttle bodies as possible.
  4. I know, Imagine my horror when I discovered the part was missing. All because of that once piece I cant fit the gearbox or start her up.
  5. I'm needing to get new bosses welded onto my exhaust and plan to bring the cables up through the old cat sensor holes. Also needing a new boss welded onto the intake pipe and i'm thinking the best and easiest place to put it is like the following :
  6. Also have 3 new sensors to fit; two being the wideband o2 and the other the IAT sensor. Also a new boost solenoid but i'm not sure exactly where to plumb that in yet.
  7. So looks like nobody in the UK has stock of this part so I've done another order with conceptz. I must be there favourite UK customer with orders every second week.
  8. Link G4+ ECU now unlocked and functioning, base map loaded and now i'm trying to work out where to place all the sensors.
  9. As I await the bearing sleeve this morning I've hooked up the battery properly to retest the electronics. Luckily the ECU is now powering up which is great news. Just need to wait for the god damn laptop to do a bunch of updates before I can get into the tuning software.
  10. My zed has officially been booked in for a mapping session on the 31st, so better get cracking getting it ready and started up.
  11. This is the part I need that has been chucked out by accident.
  12. Spot the abnormal clutch hose length, not sure whats up with this ?
  13. Clutch fitted and also fitted the new clutch fluid hose which I bought from conceptz over 6 months ago.
  14. Planned on doing lots today but i'm guessing it was a day destined looking for lost parts. The plan was to get the car jacked up, new flywheel fitted, clutch fitted then prep the gearbox with its new parts. But after fitting the clutch and moving to work on the gearbox I've realised that the throw-out bearing sleeve was missing. Its likely still attached to the old clutch fork which was also missing. Now I have to order a new one and the gearbox install will be delayed for a few days.
  15. Managed to find the two copper washers and finally fitted the power steering hose. £80 worth of various fluids and everything should be topped up shortly. Was about to fill the radiator today too but luckily I noticed the drain plug was missing; anyone know where to buy a new one ? Fitting the front intercooler pipes tomorrow then time to jack the zed up a few ft ready to fit the gearbox.
  16. Can't figure this out unless its something to do with the front WordPress site interfering with the URLs. If I turned it off for a day then we will know for sure.
  17. Few things I need to get today, and I've added copper washers to my list. Need to do all the oils and fill up the radiator with distilled water too. Luckily I have a trade card for Halfords. My list is getting bigger every time I think about it : Engine oil. Brake fluid. Distilled water. Coolant additive. Copper Washers. VAC pipe. Coil Pack Bolts.
  18. lol. It needs a little polishing up still too.
  19. Still to fit my toad alarm to my zed but its got most of these goodies. By the wiring you should be able to control everything from the remote control ecu but when I tried I kept blowing fuses. I can get the boot to pop from the ecu and I can control the cabin light but that's it.
  20. ok, before I tighten this bolt and forget about it ! Should there be copper washers above and below the bolt ?
  21. Great work, I might try and refurb my mirror glass, one side is like new and the other is all rough and sun bleached.
  22. What a productive day today has been, strangely great weather too. Engine is back in, harness wired up, radiator and water pipes hooked up. Clutch booster system back in and connected; that was a bugger to fix. Tomorrow i'll jack her up and prepare to fit the clutch, flywheel, prop and exhaust. Might be close to starting her up in a few days.
