  1. Mate of mine went to a fancy dress party as a chav, shell suit, burberry hat and pound coins taped to his fingers for sovs!! PMSL
  2. Are they any good? watched the first one the other night, wish I had known it was about seven hours long, 1am is not a good time to start watching a film that long!! :) was very good, couldnt stop watching and go to bed! Will I be dissapointed with the other two or are they sh1t hot as well?
  3. I've now taken to storing car parts on the front lawn, now wheres my burberry shell suit??
  4. My league of gentlemen T-shirt, loved wearing this one to the job centre when I was made redundant last year!!
  5. Ales Cla! (or however you spell it!) Anybody see the live show they did a couple of years ago? was top class!
  6. Ouch, way to piss on his bonfire mark :) (joking by the way)
  7. Good thinking, I like the cut of your jib mister! :) could always buy that pimped beetle for sale on the board at the moment! Surfer chicks ahoy!!
  8. If you got a UK spec 200sx it shouldnt be too bad to insure (3rd party only, forget fully comp) admittedly insurance has gone up a lot since I was a lad but I used to driver silly cars and pay well under a grand for TPFT insurance, dont imagine you would be paying more than £1500 to 2k MAX for a 200sx or (possibly) a 300zx. Dont listen to these old codgers ( :) ;) saying you should learn in a less powerful car! Fecking do it fella! just RESPECT what you are driving, and take it easy to start with and you will be fine! (and fooking watch the wet in these rear wheel driver thingies, it can all go pear shaped very fast!) Oh and dont get a Mr2, where the hell are you going to have a fumble with your girlfriend?? there's no back seat!
  9. thought it looked a bit like a pug at the front... doesnt belong to anybody on here does it?
  10. look at the mongs gawping at the car!!! nice hats lads!
  11. how about a swap for the fallen madonna with the big boobies?? (anybody remember that?)
  12. one day, i've pretty much blown my budget for the car now, will have spent nearly 8k in six weeks on ownership :) will have to wait until the new year, dont want to spend my emergency money on nice big tubs and some fancy pistons and then have the gearbox blow up on me! (that would pretty much be my luck)
  13. Cool thanks guys, and strangely enough it all made perfect sense to me! (thanks for dumbing it down to my level!) I'm learning more stuff everyday on this forum, nice to have a car related thread on here again! ;)
  14. Just had a good old rummage under the bonnet of my mates 3000gt, was surpirsed to see that the turbos were flipping tiny little midget things, dunno if anybody else here has had a chance to see one of these cars. Please tell me my stock tubs arent this weedy! seem to recall having a larger unit on all my previous tub cars (silvia, rover, sierra cossie) ..... Also spotted he had an HKS BOV on there, "wheres the other one" I asked, nope only the one?? both tubs lead to a Y pipe and a single throttle body, not being an engineering genuis (more of an engineering retard) I always thought a v6 would have two?!?!?! one either side of the V? seems an interesting way of doing it, why not just have one fook off tub rather than two little ones?? just curious and all that and keen to learn more about the principles of all this stuff before I take a spanner to my car and fook it up good and proper!! :) feel free to gimmie a :slap: if im being dense!
  15. Drunken Genius! nice! The guys websites that used to make the SAW are proper dead, loooong time since any updates/ :(
  16. Real world, traffic jam 90% of the journey with a nice little burn at either end of the trip? get an auto! (I did) Drag strip, sunday driving, race track Manuell all the way baby! (that is of course if you can find a good one, which seem to be pretty rare!) Nothing like a bit of engine braking into a corner then the wicked response of 2nd or 3rd on the way out, mind blowing!!! (instead of shoe to the floor, wait a second or two, then blast off like in the auto, not so controlled!!) :) IMHO......
  17. Thats actually pretty cheap, paid £600 to go from one side of basingstoke to the other! (3 bed house) One of the removal chaps only had one arm, cant believe I didnt spot that when he came over to do the quote (honest I missed it!!!) I would have thought it would be a hinderance in that kind of work but apparently not, fook me could he lift some heavy crap with one arm!!!
  18. Good point, thats why I'm taking extra care with cooling on my car, im hoping it will last half an hour on a track without going bang!
  19. I must admit I havent done much research on the subject but my understanding was that it's a lot cheaper to join in one of the "open" days a lot of tracks run, sure you will spend a lot of the day being overtaken by smartarses in porsches on the corners :) I'm gonna give it a go a bit later in the year, dont fancy caning the car in the summer (even though we've seen the best of it!) plus Im a glutton for punishment and a track day wouldnt be the same without spending £500 with chips away after spinning into the gravel!!! :slap:
  20. Have a look at the quote below, 2.7hp for each lb lost from the crank?? that would mean by fitting the kit from Smithy you should see over 27HP increase at the crank?? Any tech heads capable of elaborating on this a big? in a real world situation do you really see increases like this? Cheers Dave From http://www.dragracing.com/product.asp?prodid=2333&catid=22 Unorthodox Racing aluminum crank pulleys on average can provide gains of 5 to 14 HP and 4 to 12 lbs.-ft. on normally aspirated engines and 8 to 18 HP and 8 to 14 lbs.-ft. on forced induction engines. Higher gains are possible. For example, a Nissan 300ZX twin-turbo saw gains as high as 37 HP and 45 lbs-ft. on the dyno just by replacing the stock crank pulley with our Ultra S series lightened underdrive crank pulley. Power gains are obtained through weight loss on all our pulleys. An average of 2.7 HP is gained from every pound lost off the crank shaft. 85% of our gains are from weight loss. In our Ultra S models, we introduce underdriving for additional power gains.
  21. Has anybody ever taken thier Zed to a track day? where did you go? I know the Zed isnt really that great on the bends but racing round a track (to me anyway) is more fun than blasting up a drag strip! (not that you wont see me down the pod when my car is finished!!!) I'd imagine I'll spend most of the day being made to look silly by Lotus Elise drivers etc. but I'm gonna give it a bash at some point.
  22. in portsmouth saturday night 8pm in the underground carpark, looked really tidy!
  23. I'm a mechanical numb nuts and I managed to do the disks and pads following the ttzd.com guides, it really is easy!
  24. Wow, that was actually pretty scary watching that... how the fook they managed to fit a car through some of those gaps I dont know... nobheads
