  1. i dont even want to see it, had to tell the missus to shut up talking about it earlier was feeling ill... the whole thing is a shitty situation.. Playing devils advocate i know but if we did pull out who would be the first to complain about an extra 5-10p on a litre of fuel? probably this forum.. religous fundamentalism of any kind is *****cks, couple that with people from a part of the world that have known nothing but war and unrest for decades, what do you get? a bunch of sick ****s.
  2. Attack of the clones is not good, but a few of the better scenes redeem it from being a complete stinker... phantom menace is dire though... big pile of poop.
  3. Thats odd, i ordered mine from play.com and they arrived this morning ?!?!?! bunch of cnuts.
  4. And is going to be up until 2am watching them all? :slap:
  5. PMSL beat me too it! :)
  6. Possibly less rust (although this is debatable.. do a search, lots of recent chat about this!!) Probably less miles (average mileage is much less in the land of the rising sun) "switchable" auto boxes (power + hold settings missing from UK cars) cant think of any more... can think of a few bad points about getting an import, insurance costs, documentation (if any) in japanese, need an extra oil cooler if auto, difficult to guarantee mileage, possibly not undersealed so more prone to rust when it gets here (again debatable) and probably some more stuff I cant think of right now.. Having said all that I've got an import and it suits me fine! whatever you choose they are great cars and you wont be dissapointed! :)
  7. no chav is going anywhere near my ass with a cat! what a bunch of cocks.... one thing I've noticed lately on a lot of chav cars with those stupid aftermarket light clusters is that the brake lights are fooking sh1te, often really tiny and not very bright, bloody annoying especially as the little fooks often cant drive and end up slamming on every thirty seconds....
  8. perhaps it was just the earthquake?
  9. Apparently the Royal Navy have had then for several years, only prob is you cant land them on ships and they are prone to rust! perhaps not a great investment!! there was a grounded one gathering dust at the yoevilton air show!! :)
  10. wicked wheels are s'posed to be pretty good, and they come to you...
  11. Disaster in portsmouth (or if you live in portsmouth just replace with southampton) A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Portsmouth in the early hours of Monday 23RD February, 2004, with its epicentre at The Tricorn, Charlotte Street, Portsmouth. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering "it's mental mush" and "innit". The earthquake decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage, although the world's ugliest building, The Tricorn, seems undamaged though no one can really tell. Several priceless collections of the shittiest tat from Ibiza and Corfu was damaged beyond repair in nearby homes. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed and many locals were woken well before their Giro arrived. The Portsmouth Evening News reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered, still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in the area. One resident, Tracy Sharon Barcadi, a 15 year old mother of 5 said "It was such a shock. My little Chardonnay-Britney came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Chelsea-Megan slept through it all. I was still shaking and had to do a couple of lines of low grade 'charlie' to calm my nerves whilst watching GMTV the next morning." Apparently though, shoplifting, drug dealing and car crime did carry on as normal. The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, which include benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and Bone China from the Pound Shop. How can we help? This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after, the most needed include: New York Yankees baseball caps River Island jumpers Kappa tracksuit tops (his & hers) shell suits (female XXL) white sports socks Reebok trainers and any other items usually sold in JJB sports. Food parcels may be harder to come by but are needed all the Same. Required foodstuffs include: microwave Meals tins of baked beans ice cream cans of Carling Special Brew and Tennants Super Lager. 22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms. £2.00 buys chips, crisps and blue Fizzy drinks for a family of nine. £5.00 will pay for a packet of B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected. Please do not send tents for shelter as the sight of sophisticated housing is unfair on the population of neighbouring areas Leigh Park, Paulsgrove and Gosport.
  12. Nice sounds like another revenue raising excersise!! everthing from modded cars, to lorries, to taxis, to somebodies mums corsa has non-standard plates these days with funky lettering! somebody somwhere is rubbing thier hands with glee at the thought of all those £50 fines!!
  13. thats what I was thinking of, mate has one on his gto, apparently if the plate fits the mount on an import then its tough titty mr police man nothing they can do...
  14. Hullo, I'm having a '99 spec front fitted at the moment but I havent actually seen one in the flesh yet, do they have an "import" size numberplate mount at the front? getting some new plates for my private number made up, can i get away with the little ones without too much hasstle from the fuzz?? cheers
  15. Bloody hell, jigsaw!!! http://www.lynn3686.freeserve.co.uk/jigsaw.html janet ellis was quite tasty back then, not that i noticed when I was a rug rat :)
  16. love the music! :) hats off he did well to control those spins!! cant believe the police would try that manouver at that speed though! how dangerous?
  17. Christ that 911 dash style is REALLY similar to my MKII golf!! :) (nicer trim though obvisouly!!!)
  18. hmmm weightgain 3000 "BEEFCAKE".... :(
  19. yay! an MR2 to zed convert! nice one!! glad you sorted your tubs!
  20. that car in the link is painted the same colour as the dodgems at a fairground!!! how much metal flake in the paint?!?!?!?
  21. dont get me wrong I do rate them as a very good car, just not my cup o tea. I will point my mate in the direction of gtouk, i think he's prob not on there as he doesnt have the internet at home yet. the six speed box is a work of genius, because the car has bags of torque like the zed it pulls really well even in 6th! top end is also mental too! and yes the TC is a BIG plus for the winter, especially when compared to an auto zed (like mine!) not looking forward to unwanted downshifts on a roundabout this winter!! :)
  22. Im pretty sure a zed is a touch over 1400kg and the 3000gt is over 1800kg !!! im guessing a lot of the difference is down to all the extra drivetrain required for 4wd... and all the extra crud like speed activated spoilers! Did you know some model have a "stealth" mode which shuts off one of the tailpipes to make the exhaust quieter??!?!?!?!?!?! another of the amazingly over-engineering bits on these cars, the interior light, doesnt have an on/off button like every other one on the planet, has two separate buttons one for on one for off! if anybody can fathom a reason for this answers on a postcard to mr. nutty mitsi degisner, tokyo, japan... EDIT: whoops, just been reliably informed that a stock zed is actually 1580kgs.... so not such a massive difference but still a lot heavier!!!
  23. The top of the line VR4 (I think) with 4wd, traction control, 6 speed box and 320bhp stock is pretty nice. handles likes its on rails but only cos of all the electronic gizmos (and the 4wd!) More to go wrong than a zed but prob a bit easier to do work on, seems a bit more engine bay space and the tubs are nice and easy to get at! can be done on the driveway!! parts however seem to be a bit of a nightmare, me and a buddy are doing similar work to our cars (mine the zed and his fancy pants 3000gt) and he still hasnt managed to get hold of some uprated brake disks! he has also had more niggles with his and its a 1995 model (although his is a daily driver) IMHO good cars but not my cup of tea, I dont like the looks to be honest a bit too "bat mobile" ... oh and its half a ton heavier than the zed!!
