this a windup ? You leave the keys in the car????!?!?!? you sure it wasnt you completly plastered and you dont remember it??? :nono: If you didnt report it stolen the fuzz will of course automatically think it was you, however as they didnt nick you at the scene they cant actually prove you were driving so Im thinking the worse they could do you for is not providing info on who was driving the car (max 6 points and a heafty fine, I have one of these 3 points and £300, nightmare for insurace) I'm sure your solicitor will sort you out. cant really see how they can pin it on you but for gods sake lock the fecking thing and take your keys indoors!!
  3. cybernet, is that a series 2 ptu? just done some research and apparently I should only be replacing it with the more reliable one.....
  4. Shipping from courtesy is expensive at best, I think maybe its a random number generator...
  5. sold mate, was thinking of replacing the PTU as well! any chance you could ship it today if I paypal you the money? Call me on 07967 477083, cheers fella!
  6. Oh poo, only had the car back a week or two and already I've got big probs :( The low down hesitation when pulling away has now progressed to the car stalling and not being able to start it again! (engine turns over fine just no spark or fuel starvation Im guessing) Odd thing is If I leave it for an hour or two it starts and runs fine again  (so fuel pump should be ok) possibly a dodgy connection made worse when its all warm??? I'm now convinced that the low boost I was seeing is safety boost and not a leak, would a crappy injector connector lead to underfuelling and detonation (and then safety boost)? MAF and air filter are bone dry so not a problem there. I'm guessing clean or replace injector and coilpack connectors (i'd rather replace than just clean, the coil pack connectors are a bit ropey anyway) is the first step here, anybody know who sells them in the UK? would love to get it all done before the 10th otherwise it may be a no-show for me :(
  7. haha my mate got kicked out of the house by his missus for messing around on faceparty!! be careful! :D
  8. try 300fps! :D Angel is a top notch paintball gun, great if you have deep pockets and want to shoot 15-20 balls per second!
  9. no probs bringing your angel, there may be a few other chaps there on the day to make up numbers with thier own kit. You'll have to bring your scuba tank though, no air onsite, only co2 im afraid..
  10. not a lot without a new ecu chip! get a JWT (or other vendor) chip or go the easy route and get a swap out ECU from chris at get greddy and you should be set for 14psi + , When ryan has the spare time to fit my EBC I'm gonna try running 14psi on the "high" setting with the get greddy ecu. from everything I've been told it should be fine!
  11. sounds links a plan! I'll want to get there good and early so I can sign up to make a prat of myself on the strip (provided that the car is still working, she's been a bit off colour the last couple of days, i'm sensing a major problem some time soon!!) plus I dont have a scooby doo how to get there!!
  12. lets see a "show of hands" too see how many would be interested....
  13. of the paintball variety of course! of the 12 bore variety no way! :) clay shooting is more my brothers department!
  14. Had a panic today! somebody shot my car! For my sins I run a paintball site on the weekends and some bugger managed to wing a paintball over the safety netting and splat my new paintwork!!! the git! thankfully no dent! which actually got me thinking, anybody fancy a 300zx.co.uk day (or a morning) shooting each other? the venue is based outside reading so may be a bit far for a lot of you (http://www.cspaintball.co.uk) would of course only charge cost for the day for subscribed members :) I guess sometime in the next 6-8 weeks would be best before it gets too cold and miserable! Let me know what you think, would need about 20 people to make it worthwhile.
  15. That'll be the one! used to get seriously busted up wrists and fingers from driving off road! hit a tree stump and 20-30mph and your fingers know all about it when the wheel whips round!!! get some ice on it! :D
  16. I've got a poo 2nd car too!! 1988 golf gti 8v ! except its not moved in three days because I have lost the keys... ?!?!?!?!
  17. Cheers chris! I appreciate it! another reason why this board is so good! :)
  18. cheers for the heads up! I'll keep 'em peeled in future! :)
  19. thanks andy, will get the pipe sorted then hopefully hesitation will stop, its a real pita and makes driving the car a bit of a chore... :(
  20. Thanks for the offer chris! It's the drivers side pipe. I'll check with smithy first to see if he has and hard pipe kits in stock (perfect excuse to spend money i dont have on bling!) if it's gonna be a while I'll defo take you up on the offer, how much do you want for it?
  21. Hullo, Bit of an odd problem cropped up today, pretty major hesitation when pulling away (auto) car almost stalls!!! and at the same time noticed what appears to be a boost leak! (dont think it's safety boost). Had a quick sniff around the engine bay and found a very ropey pipe (end shown in the pic attaches to the throttle body) Im pretty certain this is the boost leak culprit, god knows how it held any pressure before!! Question is, could the hesitation be caused by the same problem or do I have another bug to work out??? (did find this thread, could it be the PCV valves? do they fail all of a sudden?) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=12138&highlight=hesitation+pulling
  22. cutting a hole in the pipe/throwing away the gurgling AIV ?? does that count? What the hell do those things actually do anyway?
  23. no not the basingstoke ring road! :) M3 southbound, all of a sudden it was completly clear!!!
