  1. Pity, but as you say try again next year. I'm not sure about parking the car away from the show however. On another similar theme this year's Simply Japanese at Beaulieu on 25th July is going ahead and should be (at this time) be outside the stage four (21st June) lockdown lifting. https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-japanese/
  2. If you do have a look would you mind getting the VIN for me and I will record the car in my UK specs database?
  3. Looks to be a UK spec manual from photos (headlight washers, rear bumper and r/h pod switches - VIN would confirm that). According to MOT history its last MOT expired in 2014 and had gaps for at least 6 years prior to that. 92,100 miles is not really "very low mileage". The car has a DVLA "export marker" on it. That may explain gaps in MOT history.

  5. A bit of background on the car - What is the mileage of the car - service history? Has it had cambelt service (properly installed) and idle ignition timing correct? Clean air filters? Re checking vacuum leaks when manifold pressure is below atmospheric - you will need to pressurize the system: http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/922678/The-6-Ps-Proper-Preparation-Prevents-Piss-Poor-Performancegt.html Other things re idle (also check the electrical connections to these valves): https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Idle_Control re FPR there is also the Fuel damper which can leak fuel when faulty: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2610744/Here-is-how-it-works.html
  6. If you look very carefully there is an engine in that photo!
  7. Best wishes on your Birthday Lee - Don't Panic!
  8. Looks like you had a similar problem to Richard:
  9. Do you mean this? (pic is for a JDM model)
  10. “I do that lap time in a van" - always so bright and happy.
  11. Assuming you mean the coolant lines under the plenum - then there is no real downside. (Nissan over engineering the heating of the TBs) https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Coolant_Line_Bypass and (scroll down): http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/16304.html
  12. An alternative is to go with the Nismo rubber bushes. That are slightly harder than OEM but softer than poly. So the NVH is close to stock. You can get them from Japan (link below and diagram). I would avoid rose jointed suspension parts for the maximum NVH they will inflict on a road going car. https://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bccatpartlist2.php?make=Nissan&carcode=Z32B&intake=FI&category=suspension&subcat=Bushes and Collars&sortby=&brand=NISMO With the Nismo parts diagram: nismo z32 suspension bushes.pdf
  13. Murray Walker, James Hunt, and Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" - F1 at its finest and most entertaining. Thanks for the memories.
  14. Got any close up photos?
  15. Bear in mind that Box Hill is nearly always busy at w/e's, especially the parking around the approach to and the hill itself. An alternative nearby is the Denbies Wine estate which is one roundabout south of the A24/Box Hill roundabout. There is a large parking area available and the site should be open by then. https://www.denbies.co.uk
  16. Best wishes on your Birthday Joel!
  17. This should help (scroll down to pics of aluminum caliper rotor channel gap): https://importnut.net/the-definitive-300zx-brake-swap-justifying-the-upgrade/
  18. Gets my vote.
  19. Thanks for organising this Tom. I would be up for a day out like this if it was arranged a little time after the 29th.
  20. I guess it depends on the lockdown rules still being followed the day before the planned 29th March next stage. I would think the roads will be busy!
  21. These are the TB setup pages from the FSM: em 21.pdf and from the CZP Wiki pages: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Body and TPS setup: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Position_Sensor
  22. Best wishes on your Birthday Andy!
  23. If by replacement you mean OEM - new '89 spec spoilers are NLA (at least in Europe). However it would be worth trying a Nissan parts dept or allcarpartsfast.co.uk as thay still occasionally turn up in stock. Part# J6030-42P25. The fit and finish of the OEM spoiler is much better than the replicas. However they will be expensive if you can locate one. If you do manage to get one then I can show you how to mount it on the tailgate with the maximum protection to avoid the water damage which kills them. Before I got a new OEM spoiler I bought a Kuruma Z Zeta replica but was very disappointed in the fit and sold it on. Another alternative (similar shape) is the TwinZ (Joely P has one fitted).
  24. PRVR canister (link below is for LHD car) http://www.twinturbo.info/63104/138229.html
