  2. The only cause of engine light to come on with engine running is an ecu fault  Jeff TT
  3. From the description it would point to the diode pack within the alternator, oh and disconecting the battery with the engine running can potentially cause damage to the alternator anyway so best not, the diode pack can be replaced but by then you may as well go for a recon, or a tested used item. Jeff TT
  4. My goodness, shocking behaviour from any garage, sadly you will find very similar stories all over the net concening anything from a Nova to a Supra and onwards, very often it occurs when "big builds" are undertaken by companies with limited resources ( Might not look that way at first) and all their customers "deposits" get used on other cars and then they need more cash to start your car and then use it again on something else....wages, rent whatever and before you know it a descending spiral has begun..very bad news for you and for the garage trade as a whole. Hope you can find some way to get over this, I know we are just talking about cars but this I am sure has impacted on much bigger parts of your life than it should of..feel for you bud oh and well done for keeping your cool under such provocation. Jeff TT

  20. Agree with Jimmer, a sharp chisel or a screwdriver, try and not dig into the crank but by getting a start under the bushing it is quite soft and will collapse inwards, eventually becoming loose enough to be removed in a few parts sometimes. Jeff TT
