  1. Not really sure the comment "the fuel pump will be oversuppling the engine" is a technically correct description, the fuel pressure is regulated and the injector opening times is set by the ecu, any excess fuel goes back to the fuel tank via the aptly named "return pipe" Maybe the fuel pump will be running a little quicker than it needs too, however I doubt it would have any bearing on fuel pump life or indeed engine fueling. This is one of those many cases in life where the KISS approach is the very likely the best. Jeff Ps KISS = keep its simple st?pid
  2. All ended up well which is the best possible outcome, selling parts and delivering them from home can be much more involving than it originally appears, well worth concidering when deciding to break a car or even sell a few bits. Group hug time  Jeff TT
  3. Yes thats cool as any tips are always welcome by the members so long as the job is explained clearly and in full, look forward to it. Nice one. Jeff
  4. Don`t worry to much, removing the autobox and refitting in order to change the rear crank seal really is a much easier job than many would think, almost any garage with a ramp and even a moderate knowledge of the zed should do it in a morning so no biggy cost wise. Good luck anyway Jeff TT
  5. That would be cool, nice one, especially illustrated clarification on "It's a very simple repair" and ""Once the sump is off for the DIY Zed owner. Jeff TT
  6. Would doubts any faults would be found this way, good old auto electrics is required. Jeff TT
  7. Well only sort of previously the encoded data stream was not fully viewable on Sky Digiboxes, nor generic FTA receivers, as the video stream was being broadcast as H.222 data rather than using the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec commonly supported by such receivers and used by existing high definition channels such as BBC HD. Now on channel 178 and the change of data stream broadcasting it is fully decoded and requires no upscaling by the tv. Jeff TT
  8. Top job groover, good suggestion 300zx_zx Jeff
  9. Well its your choice of course, do not know the guys you mentioned at all, their website does suggests them to be a knowledgeable crew and been around a long time too. Either give us a call at the workshop Tuesday or email me at jeff@zedworld.co.uk to discuss the running issues in more detail. Regards Jeff
  10. Very likely the pipework is mixed up and its taking a reading from the wrong side of the throttle plate. Check out the small black box under the bonnet close to the hinge on the drivers side, should have a single cable connector underneath and a single very small pipe coming out of it too. The small pipe is around 4 inches long and the has a T piece in it, one part goes to an adjacent solenoid the other side of the T piece should go directly to the balancer bar on top of the engine. Jeff TT
  11. The missing cable threw me..honest guv  Jeff
  12. Guess you mean it rises from the negative ( vacuum) extreme left to the zero point in the middle, thats normal. Jeff TT
  13. Well I thought that but the chime box has three cables??? Jeff TT
  14. Will check stock on Tuesday and let you know. Jeff

  17. Just so you know we are almost ready to launch a wheel and tyre ranch available from stock within the UK so no silly lead times look for a post in a day or two. Jeff TT
  18. Yes Neutral switch, and although not essential for a zed with a manual ecu as the timing is less effected than in an auto to manual conversion its nice for it to be in place. Good news you do not need to replace it by the looks, just the cables and connector are missing. Make up a small lead, clean the connections and solder them back in place, done this many times, they often get damaged when the box is taken out and stored etc. Jeff TT
  19. You very welcome, and get some pics up of that wicked Zed of yours:dance: Jeff TT
  20. Hopefully will be resolved now, if not let me know how you get on matey, Zedworld-Parts is always here to help when members get left out in the cold. Jeff TT
  21. DOH!!!! Si your so damn quick!!!!! Jeff
  22. No under the bonnet, at the back of the engine the two heater matrix pipes from the engine to the bulkhead, link the engine side ones with a single piece of heater hose. Jeff
  23. My thats a blast from the past, had that zed in the workshop about 5 years ago, there was many, many issues but the owner was a real petrol head and has spent the time since building it into a super condition car. Last time I saw it around 15 months ago it looked real good and the owner brought it to show me the difference. Jeff TT
  24. Cheers Mr ZXTT  A true "enthusiast ":dance: Roll on Summertime !! Jeff
