Where do I get ....
TBH the strut gaskets are thin anyway, they just stop metal to metal contact, they wont actually add anything substantial.

Where do I get ....
MJP for OEM strut gaskets they are only a few quid each so not worth the hassle of making them imo.

Series 2 Climate control features
I havent seen a yellow label ecu, in fact the only one i havent seen the ecu for is the manual aircon buttons pod although i believe it has a black label. Im certain that the green label one is for the series 2, i have one and still have the blue series one in my garage that i took out. I would put the green label one back in that you assumed was for the series one and give it a go.

Series 2 Climate control features
The best way to tell the difference is the colour of the sticker on the ecu, the series 1 was blue and the series 2 is green

Series 2 Climate control features
Yes sounds like you have a problem. Are you sure you plugged the connectors in correctly on the ecu, they might not be in all the way. you press the defrost button and air should be directed to the windscreen only Auto can be sent wherever you want via the direction button above the fan speed button, pressing several times gives you different alternatives to where the air is to be flowed. If you press the rec button you can again pretty much control where air is directed but without the ac unit on. The little tell tale leds (amber/yellow as standard): def on= def led only, auto on= auto led only, direction and fan speed, the led behind the little window will only light behind the button pressed.

What can be polished up?
Polish the: allen bolts for the throttle bodies, top of the Air intake valve, i tried polishing the balance bar, but you cant get into the crevices between the pipes, so painted it instead. I also polished the bolts for the cambelt cover he cruise control unit, PAS pot I will have a chrome bonnet stay going when ive fitted the bonnet dampers.

drag link......?? help...
I think they mean the drop link from the anti roll bar, the fronts have what look like ball joints but the rears dont. The front oem drop links are relatively cheap, infact i bought a pair of ebay for about £20 odd, although not Nissan, they have been fine in the year and half they have been on. The rear handbrake can be adjusted, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=150598&highlight=handbrake, Jeff did a write up on what to do, to adjust the shoes at the disc and then the handbrake itself.

Could be the fuel temp sensor or water temp sensor need cleaning. You need to do a diagnostic to check to eliminate the usual culprits and see if it throws up a code. If you still had the series 1 PTU i would have put money on that being the problem, but series 2 are not as prone to over heating, hence the upgrade.
