  2. :happybday: all the best, have a good one :happybday:
  3. Andy, did you notice anything different about the plenum :whistling: Because of you lol, i ended up virtually re polishing the top of the plenum after a little shave here and there.
  4. Cheers bud, i know what you mean, the rockers i had originally polished, but felt there was too much shinyness going on with no definition. I would have liked them powder coated, but not sure if i could have got a colour match.
  5. Well all back together, but on wrestling with the plenum, i chipped the paint on the rocker cover  Will have to mask everything off and prep and repaint that part, i cant be arsed to take it all off again :glare: All back together with new injector loom on, still got to finish the throttle cover project, but theres plenty of time for that when the engine is in the car. Need a few new hoses here and there with some new clips to finish the look.
  6. No idea, its how they come, once split there are 3 pairs of wires to splice in, i guess its a way of selling new connectors with a bit of wire on lol
  7. Fook me wozzer's beard has grown since the last time i saw him, looks like grasshopper from the Kung Fu series lol. Looks like the weather was nice, it was raining all weekend here.
  8. Yes thats about the same price, you need 2 of those if replacing all 6
  9. Thats a good deal Howard, i could do with some coil pack connectors a couple of mine have disintergrated and i gave some spares away before i knew it lol
  10. About £52 for the 2 sets of three
  11. Hi Mate, Sorry just watching the soaps lol. Twist together opposing each other so that when they are soldered together you dont get a ridge, otherwise the heatshrink wont slide over. Place the soldering iron under the twisted pair to build up the heat then apply the solder so it flows into both twisted wires, dont dab the soldering iron, keep the heat on till it flows. Get a heatshrink kit like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/127pc-Heat-Shrink-Wire-Wrap-Cable-Sleeving-Tubing-Sets-/280695278660?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item415abe0c44 Place some heatshrink over each pair of wires away from the heat before twisting and soldering and a larger diameter that will cover the pair. So 3 pieces per wire/join. When soldered slide the smaller diameter pieces of heatshrink over the join and heat, using a cigaretter lighter, once both joins are covered, slide over the larger diameter heatshrink over both and heat again. You should have a nice sealed and isolated join. Now repeat 5 more times and job done lol
  12. Me too lol, but at least you get new connectors and although you have to split the loom back, which is the pain, for me it was easier with the engine on a stand and under the plenum. Although i have the wiring in the engine bay to look forward too :mad2:
  13. How did it go Chris? would have loved to have come on this trip, but the cars not ready yet.
  14. Hi Paul, the injectors are sequential so need a feed each. You will have to split the loom and terminate each injector pair to the original loom. Ive had to do the same with my spare engine. Just mark each one with tape and number, 123456, same as the firing order on the coil packs. Solder and heatshrink each pair, the thicker wire on the injector to the red stripe thicker wire on the loom of the new one. IMO they shouldnt be called a loom, just replacement connectors with some wire on them lol HTH Graham
  15. Remove the plastic sill plates and lift back the carpet and you will see the holes to get the spray in, also more access to the rear sill if the rear inner panels are taken out next to the rear seat.
  16. :happybday: All the best for today :happybday:
  17. :happybday: Have a great day mate, i dont believe for a minute you are 24 :tt2::happybday:
  18. The supposed sightings are getting beyond a joke, all over the country, highly unlikely. Ive said all along that it doesnt smell right. If im wrong i will happily eat my words
  19. Its not just any stolen car though, its a high profile Team Japspeed Subaru. I hope its for real and it gets found, but after reading several forums there are some conflicting accounts, but time will tell. Maybe im just having a sceptical day :detective:
  20. Thats not the national news. Its around all the forums, etc, but not serious enough to be on the national news? Its supposedly spotted near Kent, then near Windsor. The fuel tank is tiny and wouldnt get anyone very far without constantly filling up or stopped. I just find the whole thing a bit fishy.
  21. Why hasnt it been on the news? seems strange to me lol
  22. A worthwhile mod to do as a starting base to bling up the engine bay lol Happy reading :thumbup1:
  23. I find it hard to believe that a car of such a high profile can be taken under the nose of organisers and owners and since Japspeed is a trader on here and no doubt many forums. Why didnt they post up themselves? Could be a PR stunt or maybe genuine, who really knows? There doesnt seem to be much info or sightings on such a high profile car
  24. Lots of info on the plenum pull, start here, there are also links in the write up, not too difficult. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/16304.html
  25. :happybday: Have a great day :happybday:
