  1. Yes mate, they match the colour on the connector on the units themselves
  2. Great job, im just about to embark on the double din mod, ive already cut it all out, just got to fill and smooth etc, i think double dins look so much nicer and more modern looking for the zed.
  3. I would say you have more of a case with the council then, if it was moved without informing you. It seems the lazy gits chased the channel for the power supply in a straight line from the edge of the path to save work.
  4. I know lol, Ian is like a drum machine lol, sometimes you got to punch in the info more than once :whistling:
  5. I would get in touch with the council and show them pics of how the lamp post impedes your drive way. The only problem with getting a free result is that the lamp post has probably been there for many years without issue.
  6. IN5408 are ones i use for the car for led rear lights etc.. Yes you wire it inline, normally close to the source but not essential, the silver ring on the end of the diode need to face the direction of the the item being supplied with power, ie.. it will only work one way. They are fine for 12v and are normally rated in amps i wouldnt worry about the amps on a 12v supply the likelihood is it will be 30amp max.
  7. As its a signal wire Ian, it will be milli-volts, no big voltage as it inputs to circuitry on the board of the amp
  8. Diode :thumbup1:
  9. Im about to go on a gig Craig, im sure there are some write ups somewhere or must be another member with one. Ive got an N/A so i dont know from experience.
  10. Is it for a jap or UK clock? Does your speedo work ok, the odometer takes its feed from the back of the speedo dial and occassionally if there is a dry joint the signal may not get to the odometer, take a look here http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_images/Odometer%20Repair.pdf I have a couple of spare Jap ones if you feel you definitely need one. Cheers Graham
  11. You only need a permanent live feed for something that requires to hold a memory, like the digital clock, the feed at the bottom of the dash clocks, is only live when you turn on the lights, so by taking the red ign/acc wire from the stereo to the new dials, you will get power to them (readout) when the key is turned to acc.
  12. Ign mate, you dont want them on all the time, you only want them on when you turn the key.
  13. You dont need approval Lee, youve done a zed first and deserves its place in the How To section. Well done mate
  14. It was on the stalk with the srs air bag wheel option only as you cant have the cc buttons in the wheel due to the airbag.
  15. http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm Series 4 version S optional but from 91 all standard ABS
  16. Make sure you get the right thread size.
  17. Dremel is only good for small light bits, it cant handle any pressure, ive got 2 of them lol You just need an arbour, which is an attachment for the angle grinder and you can use the same mops as with the drill. Its less controllable than a drill though, a bench grinders good.
  18. Really! mine does :tt2: I could be wrong but i think all Z32's have ABS as standard
  19. You wont get a shine, till youve done the first cut with the sisal mop and worked through the other 2 mops.
  20. There are many established MOT stations that charge about £35, I would let Halfords touch my windscreen wipers, let alone perform an MOT test. You say you dont consider the MOT a major thing, i think for most people its the only time they get to see whats wrong with their cars lol
  21. If you have an aftermarket steering wheel, check the earth wire is touching the inside of the horn push. Not alot to go wrong really, the horn is the switch, but does go via the fusebox under the bonnet 10a fuse before the horn itself.
  22. Welcome to the club Daz, i have to say, considering it was sat for so long, it looks to be in good condition, ive seen worse for sale thats not been stood for 11 years lol
  23. Sorry to hear about your loss. When my step dad died, we wrote to the credit card companies and the banks and they wrote the debt off. The house was in joint names with my mum, the mortgage was paid off via the policy attached to the mortgage and was then placed in her name only after the paperwork. This was over 10 years ago, so whether the law has changed or not regarding death duty, it will also depend how much his estate is worth. If its a huge amount ie over £400K then its likely that debts would need to be paid, again depending on the amount of debt. If he owes less than £10k total i wouldnt worry too much about the house being sold from under her feet. As always i would seek legal advice, although solicitors can bleed you dry, they may be able to save you thousands in the long run, knowledge is everything as in most cases. Good luck with the quagmire and hope you manage to get it sorted. Graham
