yellow paint code?
Might be worth going to a Nissan dealer with you vin number and see what they come up with, every source i have checked listing all colour codes state up to sept 91 EH7 No mention of any other code or colour, so either Nissan only sprayed the door shuts and engine bay in EH7 without the pearl added or its been resprayed. Mine originally was pearl white, but under the bonnet is definitely not pearl, its just white lol and that hasnt been touched since it was made.

Advice on spray gun - Groover etc
Your lucky day as ive recently bought everything you would need. First of all, you would need to practice a little on a spare panel (not the car) to gauge distance and output. It only took me a few goes to get the hang of the spray gun and there are loads of youtube clips on paint spraying. Mixing the paint varies with manufacturer and usually stated mix ratio on the side of the tin, however rule of thumb is 2:1 +10% for basecoat ( 2 parts paint, 1 part hardner and 10% thinners. High build primer is usually 4:1, but ive found without digger psi and constant pressure its a little thick, so i tried 3:1 then 2:1 till i was happy. The coverage is amazing with the high build filler and the beauty of mixing the paint yourself with the hardner is that its virtually dry in half hour compared to rattle cans. You can buy mixing cups with the mix ratio printed on the side, so that you can be consistent with the paint mixing. On the spray gun, i use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/S701G-Sealey-Professional-Gravity-Gold-Spray-Gun-/330415593476?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item4cee4dd804 But with a 2.0mm spray, which is probably a llittle large for some basecoats, maybe go for the 1.4 as in the link. The gun is very adjustable, in that you can control the pressure, fan and trigger. I also bought a water catch inline before the gun to stop water, they are only about a fiver but well worth it. Paint filters, cheap as chips and important to sieve out any particles in the paint before it goes into the paint cup on the top of the gun. The trick is not to lay it on too thick for the first coat, more of a dust coat then wetter for the following coats, alloy about 15mins to flash off between coats, ( flash off, means to allow the chemicals in the paint to dissipate or you will end up trapping under the next layer and get misting/clouding in the paint. The type of paint is also important, for instance you cant mix a rattle can with 2k or it will react, so keep the paints compatible. Using 2k should really only be done in a booth with an extraction system and air fed mask, due to the cyantes in the hardner, its basically cyanide ( can be deadly if exposed for long periods of time) Ive done some little bits in my garage with 2k ( naughty i know) i bought a proper particulate mask and is fine for small one off jobs ( i did some stuff for the engine bay). Lots to take in lol, i spent weeks preparing my knowledge before starting, but i would never touch a rattle can again. HTH so far.......

"Lights" warning light
There is a light control box in the boot, rear drivers panel, size of a fag packet. They can occasionally get either a dry joint or water in them making it short circuit.

yellow paint code?
Pretty sure the pearl is the basecoat then laquer over that. Normally with light colours and especially yellow a white primer is better to bring out the colour.

TPS Fault ???
Do a continuity test on the 3 wires, you might have to use a long bit of wire to get the length to connect, but here goes: pin 48 of the ecu is the power supply to the tps (oran/blue) pin 38 of the ecu is the throttle open circuit (white) pin 30 of the ecu is the TPS and the temp sensor ground (black) Also worth noting that wires to pin 38 and 48 also go Tee off to the AT control unit, so you might have a problem or short there. HTH If you get no continuity or intermittent reading then its more likely to be the wiring rather than 2 duff TPS sensors. If all else fails then take it to Jeff, its one of those jobs that is often easier to source and rectify in the flesh rather than on the forum

Progress today
Here you go Lee. You can see the gap created by the acrylic filler piece compared to the original carbon surround cutout, which was flush

Getting the shape or deciding what to use is the hardest part, but once youve got the shape then filled, smoothed etc, its fairly straight forward. Before i started it, i sat and looked at it for 10 mins once id cut the middle bar off to decide what best to do, then once you have the plan in your head, go for it. :donatello: I used bosch multi to cut the plastic ( works on vibration to cut) then used a power file to take off the rest. I have a spare panel i could do a how to on. The only reason i didnt do it on mine was time.

Progress today
Will take some pics in a bit Lee, i will take it out so you can see the back of it too. I used some acrylic to space the bottom, i cut some pieces of the metal back plate to give me the sides then P40, then filler then i sprayed high build 2k primer (not in a can) then a couple of coats of satin black (from a can) as i didnt have any in a tin and didnt want to buy half a litre for the cost. Then i put my carbon trim back over the top to finish it off.

Well ive got to start the engine change on tuesday, i just hope the weather holds out. My mates garage isnt quite long enough, i was hoping to have done it by now, so now im a week further behind with it than i had hoped, so getting the little bits done makes me feel like im getting somewhere lol

Progress today
I still have so much to do before JAE, but then again, who hasnt  I fitted new speakers in the front doors, 6x9's mounted to the door card behind the grill so it looks stock. Fitted the door feed for the led in the open door marker light, installed a couple of led strips in the footwells, still got the stainless indiglows to go in and rear strips. Spent a couple of days making a 2 din surround for my new stereo, will get some closer pics in daylight of that, but heres a few night time shots for now.

Just got back from Turkey, anyone missed me?
Welcome back Daz, glad you had a good time. I went to Antalya a few years ago and absolutely loved it, i agree fully inclusive is the way to go. We went on a few trips, saw the manganvat waterfalls and markets, lots of fakery about lol. I went jet skiing nearly everyday and the sea was warmer than the Hotel pool. I loved the sound of the night time there, crickets and local music in the distance, must go back sometime.

Warning!!! Rant
I think bonfires in a private garden should be banned full stop, no need for it in this day and age, the smell is putrid. Yappy dogs should be put down, barking at the postman is one thing, barking at their own shadow for the sake of it, not on. Not being able to park outside my own house boils my piss. Being woken up in the morning by Jehovah's bloody witnesses, if i want god in my life, i will go and find him, dont want it rammed down my throat on the doorstep... Shall i go on :devil2: My god, im turning into my dad :scared::2guns::hang:

Thinking of buying turbo or not?
I have an N/A lwb and still has a grin factor and as mentioned slightly cheaper to run everyday, but i would still like a TT for the extra grin factor st weekends and keep my N/A as my daily drive.
