Speedo repair
Ideally you need to remove and replace the needle under load, ie ign plugged in and ign lights on.

Cheap zed.... Is this for real ?
I dont think he did it intentionally, it was probably an oversight and a finger slip

totally gutted.
Get it looked at, by a mobile welder, usually always one in the local rag, before you give yourself a coronary lol, nothing is impossible and with the amount of work you need to do on her mechanically, its just another bump in the road. Yes its depressing, but dont let it get you down, take a chill pill and look at it with fresh eyes/brain tomorrow. In the meantime get on the phone to get some quotes just to see exactly how bad it is or isnt.

got my black gloss vinyl
I would be a bit concerned with it peeling under the heat of the sun, which is why mine is getting sprayed black, although if it looks the part then might save alot of masking and hassle lol.. Look forward to seeing the pics Ian, so get your ass moving and get it done

Or a sealer which is available from any paint suppliers http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BARCOAT-SEALER-ALL-PAINT-SURFACES-1lt-car-/280523107064?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item41507aeaf8

You are getting a reaction with the primer from the original basecoat, ive just had the same problem. You need to use as suggested etch primer or a sealer to stop it happening again.

I can tell you exactly what it is, its diamond fibre board used in flightcase material, can be bought in virtually any thickness either a moulded one part or ply covered in it.

Quick Q about pin 44 on the ECU
Either or its probably easier to strip a little of the sheath back on the wire and solder it to the bare wire beneath, then seal with some insulating tape.

Stealth Boost water temp and EGT Gauge - what do you think?
Nice one Andy looks really cool. I didnt realise you went manual, i thought you loved your line locker lol. Re fuel gauge, the oil pressure gauge works in the same way apparently as the fuel one, you would need to screen print a spare oil press gauge

Check the plug connections from the door to the footwell behind the kick panel passenger side, just above the plastic panel.

overdrive on auto box
If you are just tootling around town, it shouldnt make much difference at low speed, you need to be doing about 40mph or so before it kicks in.

Ato groover (2)
I think its designed for 110v so would be no good for a 240v. What job is it you are wanting to do specifically, apart from the obvious speed control lol
-
ATO Groover.
The one i found should do the job http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POWER-CONTROLLER-VARIABLE-POWER-SUPPLY-240v-25Amp-/110711725565?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Control_ET&hash=item19c6eeddfd My router has adjustable speed, but then again depends on the age of the unit.
