  1. Cool, the only reason i didnt use the strips is the spacing of the leds are too far apart for the effect i wanted.
  2. I dont think there is Al, but you could always find an unsecured connection in pretty much any street, or use the internet at designated free wifi hotspots.
  3. Ok its because its a UK model, but im pretty sure although its listed on the emissions chart, its not on the database, PaulC or Ossian can confirm as they are Mot guys.
  4. Did they test it as a non cat test/pre cat test? as its an import, its not on the database and therefore has to be tested on emissions as a pre cat test and should pass, unless you are really blowing some crap out the exhaust lol
  5. Lol, they need to be made aware of the shite construction especially for the price they are.
  6. I had some front Whiteline droplinks and they lasted all of 2 weeks, due to mainly that garage who fitted them didnt grease them, so metal to metal rubbing, they wore down and rattled like a bugger, i replaced with some new oem droplinks and been fine since. If you want my old whiteline droplinks for spares you are welcome to them, only the rose joints are fooked on mine, the rest of the link is fine
  7. I used normal 5mm white leds, i placed a 470 ohm resistor on each one, as i didnt want to lose a row of three if wired in series. I drilled 5mm holes which makes a nice tight fit, then hot glued and sealed the rear of the leds/wiring
  8. I placed 9 leds in a line near the front of the lens
  9. No they dont, sorry Paul, i had to put some leds in mine to create a sidelight as i too have no fogs. There is another method of cutting out a bulb holder hole in the blank where there should have been a side light, you will see what i mean if you get one apart.
  10. I think it just needs to be an alarm supplier who can supply a certificate to verify that a cat 1 alarm is fitted and operates as it should.
  11. Depending on the projection, i guess up in the sun visor area of the screen could be doable.
  12. Im sure the mounting could be addressed and part of the reason for this thread is to find the best way forward for the unit, maybe cut into the rear of the dash shroud/binnacle pointing nearer the bottom of the windscreen, so in the bottom view of line of sight, rather than at the side.
  13. A mis-understanding and lack of communication on my part im afraid, i knew Marko was away on holiday when we had the conversation to see if a member would like the opportunity to buy and fit a HUD and write a HOW TO for the zed for a reduced fee. He was going to create a post when he returned, but i wasnt sure what date and didnt inform the mods that it was agreed he could find a willing member to get involved. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but worth a punt for a one off type product. Please note as a registered user, this offer applies for the first member to try it and create a write up, any further sales, he will need to be subscribed and discuss moving forward.
  14. They will rattle on idle and should go at higher revs, obviously the revolution of the cam at a faster speed will be harder to hear and the noise would be gone when the vvt comes in, depending on how the ecu is set up for this to happen. I have quite an aggressive chip, so mine doesnt come in till about 6k revs, which is a bit high really.
  15. lucas or any auto electrical place should be able to do it, if not google is your friend lol
  16. You can also calibrate the speedo by adjusting the potentiometer on the speedo board, you would need to drill a couple of small holes in the top of the plastic dash and use a small flat blade screwdriver to adjust.
  17. You can adjust the travel of the clutch under the dash, but you dont want to go mad and have it nearly hitting the floor lol. Yes the dreaded squeak, i still got that on mine, its the spring being too dry, give it a bit of spray grease/lube, will help till the next time.
  18. Blimey Trevor, that was a stroke of luck you were in the Rangie. Too right the zed would have been written off no doubt, glad you were both unharmed, albeit a bit shaken no doubt. Good food at the sloop for the money too lol
  19. Could be your VVT springs, still need the cam cover off to get to them but only a few quid each. A tensioner bearing would tend to be more constant IMO
  20. All the best Ian, hope you have a nice day..
  21. You could have the name and a sub heading underneath, showing what you have to offer :thumbup1:
  22. I have a feeling that the key barrel on your beemer works similar to the VW golf, where the key in the barrel held in lock position will raise the windows and vice versa, so it sounds like when you placed the key in the barrel and turned the key, it stayed in the wrong position as the lock rod holder dropped off. Could be wrong, but sounds more feasible than an electrical fault as such.
  23. True Dave, there is usually a contact email in the user cp, but the post has to be closed first before contact. So Rich would most likely have seen his thread closed first before checking email. Unfortunately the, thinking of selling/breaking/gauging interest type threads tend to lead to people making offers/swaps etc, so as per rules registered members creating these type of threads always heads one way, regardless of whom it may be. Its not done in a malicious way, the mods are following the rules set down in the AUP, which every member should read or be aware of.
  24. Mark, the post was removed then discussed regarding possible trading, you then create a thread, "where has my post gone" and the next reply by Voddy is PM sent, explaining why the post was removed. The rest of this thread has no relevance or bearing on the decision made. Apart from this remark from me:whistling:: Your initial thread which was removed stated that the decals: Come in Most colurs Satin/Matt Finish White Black Silver Gray Red Now if you had one or two, the post would have been left, the fact that they can be done in any colour suggests that you can or will be offering multiples, therefore under the AUP can be considered trading, ie many of one product, without asking permission to do so. Its all about how you go about things that make a difference, and the rules are adhered to by the mods to protect our current traders, who have to abide by trading rules regarding the products they sell. I hope this clarifies the situation, by all means continue to help members who dont have certain skills that you possess, in the same token you thought it would be nice to be asked by PM.... Touche:winkiss:
