  1. There are a few people I know who will do it, Jeff @ Zedworld and Luke @ Z Centre. Costs about £1500. Though you would have to speak to them to get a better idea.
  2.   Oh thats a cure for any bad day at work!!!!!
  3. Sorry for the delay in replying, only just got back to my desk. I removed the solinoid completely. Cut the wires and taped them up. Has been fine since.
  4. I had this very thing. There is a solinoid that locks the key into place for when you are driving. That has now failed. You need to remove the solinoid completely. Thats what I did, and Ive had no problems since. Cant exactly remember how I got the solinoid off though. Jeff talked me through it over the phone.
  5. The fog lights fit fine, however you will need a pair of new indicators. BTW, it looks a lot fresher than the standard front.
  6. and a wide body kit as well. Thats nice!!!
  7. With 0.8mm Jets I was getting about 15psi. However, since I reset the ECU and cleaned the filters (K&N) its been going up to 18psi. But I think the gauge may be off.
  8. Ive got some shiny radiator pipes to replace the nasty rubber ones. Ive had them since February, still not got round to fitting them.
  9. Last weekend i reset the ECU to try and solve a problem with the idle dipping and surging. This has improved slightly, but it still dips and surges whenever Im at a standstill. However, from Monday to Thursday, I only ran it on Optimax. The difference in acceleration now is amazing. The boost gauge (aftermarket) says that the car is producing 17 psi of boost. I dont believe this is wholly accurate. :) However, Thursday evening I had to put some standard unleaded in as I was too far from any shell garage. Detonation occured well before max boost was achieved. About 15 PSI on the gauge. So yesterday evening I put in some Super Unleaded. Detonation occured just before max boost. Now, the only engine mods that I am aware of, are the SS Exhaust, K&N Filters (Now vv clean) and the chipped ECU and 0.8mm boost jets fitted by Zedworld. As I have inherited a complete history of the car since it was imported, I believe these to be the only engine mods. Is it normal to det on Super Unleaded? And how much detonation will kill the pistons? edit :- One more thing, it now feels much more powerfull than when I had it on the SE Rolling road. Roll on the next one! ;)
  10. AdamR - I take it your opinions of TDI arent that high then? ;) Have they got a bad rep when it comes to Z tuning?
  11. You are Diego Simeone You may be a good footballer but who cares - you're a low life. Forget about playing in the spirit of the game - you're happy to use the cheapest tricks around to get what you want. Hope your calf's fully recovered. :D
  12. And me! Should be able to get there on time, this time :)

Oh now this is tempting! :) Count me in! Email on its way.
  14. Cheers, Hopefully I can get this sorted out without spending too much money. Cause I need all the money I can get to save up for new ICs, injectors and turbos! ;)
  15. Z Centre do them, try here. Z Centre Decat pipes Page 2 I believe. HTH.

I wouldnt mind getting a fleece for my girlfriend. She really loves how much time/effort/money i spend on my car. ;)
  17. There is an existing hole for pipes, its the one used by the bonnet release mechanism. The A pillar I got is held on with Velcro, and hasnt moved since it was fitted. Looks pretty good too. However, I wont mention anything about the wires, because I havent the foggiest and got someone else to wire it up :)
  18. Looks like you had a good holiday! Now you can get on with the much more relaxing job of further mods to your Z ;) Cause we all know how relaxing that is. :D Nice photos btw.
  19. Oh, and how much difference would front and rear strut braces make, what have been peoples experience with them?
  20. lol. :) The thing is, as part of my MOT I had all the worn parts replaced. It was a lot better then, but now seems to have 'gone off'. Esp. since a Citroen Picasso went into the back of me. Oh well, should turn out OK in the end.
  21. Even so, a Z should have good handling, even if it is a Jap spec one, shouldnt it?
  22. Then mine is not right. :( Its got a loose feeling at the back, doesn't feel planted. Which is not what Ive heard about the Z! In fact, its never felt properly sorted. Even though the dampers at the back have been replaced. Hmmmm...
  23. Im not bothered with lowering it. Far from it! :) I just want a good quality alternative to the standard setup. Any ideas?
  24. How deep are your pockets? If you have vvvv deep pockets and a burn proof wallet, make it a on going project to build the most powerful engine possible. :D Thats what I would do. If I had the income to support it, that is. ;)
  25. And watch the swearing and tantrum throwing. ;)
