The boost upgrade I had done, though not by SE, was to have the ECU chip upgraded to allow higher boost levels (and other things), and to have boost jets installed which allow a fixed higher level of boost to be achieved. The boost controller replaces the jets, and allows a variable level of boost. I think thats the answer to that question. :)

Oh yeah, Price, sorry its still early. ;) about 1500 including the bodykit. Had other work done which took the price up. So it should be about that.

Weeeeelll, its like this: The car went down to Jeff for an ancillary belt change, and well, spur of the moment wanted it resprayed. Then he mentioned that he had a 99 front bumber ready. And then there was the condition of the spoiler.... So one full respray (Same colour, but they seem to have put a bit more metal flek in it, so you should see it in the sunshine :cool: ) What can I say, the money pit of the Zed struck again ;) Oh, and its not had a polish yet. As the paint has still been hardening. I'll see what a good polish will do this weekend. :)

At last, ive had time to upload the pic! :) After respray Quality of the image is not as good as the original, cause otherwise it wouldnt fit in the rides section.

Could be that if the Emperor drove a car, it would be a Z. :D

Ive got a kenwood 10 disc changer unit in the boot. Its in the place where the targa bags would usually hide. Fits perfectly. Will try and get a pic this evening.

Just my 2p worth, I have just got mine back from having a full respray with Dosthill (If that is who Jeff uses). It looks truely fantastic. The quality is amazing, I shall try and post a pic or two after lunch. :)

OK, went out for my birthday bash last night, and came back to find my daily drive had gone walkabout. Not the Z, thank god, but the astra. Still, having your car pinched is a sh1te thing to happen. Scum bags. Wish I could find out who it was. See how they like having their hands removed.

Actually, the more I think about it. The more I want to wait for the money to come back in for a nice, new, console fitted electronic boost controller. :) I dont think Im going to go fiddling around with an engine this expensive to rebuild ;)

No, no tubing out of the engine bay. I had one on my previous car, a Saab turbo. You could set the level of max boost. Just wondered if anyone had any knowledge of it being used on a Z. Would prefer a nice electronic one, however, the respray means I would be waiting a while ;)

Stuart, I'll go for a set of the 'Z's. I had my car parked outside my house for one night when i first bought it. Woke up with only two chrome caps left. :( So I only need two, dont need the wrench. Anyone wanna go halves? ;)
