  1. A Golden Oldie! :) Still makes me chuckle.
  2. That picture, can anything else scream midlife crisis? ;) Lambo + mail order bride ;)
  3. Ah, that'll be me then. ;)
  4. That original quote sounded well cheap! I have saved 1100 by going over to Houghton. Well chuffed! :D
  5. That looks fantastic. :D One of my next jobs to be done. Though in a different colour. ;)

Im all for Drayton Manor, nice and close (though not as close as the Bubble Inn that the 200+ club uses ;) ) mid may sounds good, too.
  7. Few days late, but was it you last Sunday? Metallic Grey non-turbo?
  8. It may be the a/c not working properly? May not get rid the moisture as quickly if its not 100% Have you gone for long periods of time without switching the air con on?
  9. There's a really good article in this months Japanese Performance Magazine, tells you in which order you should tackle the upgrades and why. I know that springs are actually half way down the list though. Just my 2p worth. :) Bri.
  10. It could just be me, but the engine seems to run smoother on optimax. Could just be an imaginary thing though. :)
  11. After reseting my ECU, I had put only optimax in for the first 200 miles, and the difference was amazing. But then ran it on S/Unleaded and it detted. :( (But it was at about 16 psi...) Optimax only from now on. :)
  12. Woah there! IMO the mongoose is great in all aspects except volume. But when you think about it, with the turbos there and the cats in, there's already a load of silencing in place, without anything else adding to it. In terms of looks, it's a kind of SS replacement for the original, similar looks and all that. The quality of the finish is also excellent, when I used to commute it (115 miles a day, expensive :( ) you could do througha week of crap weather, clean it on the Saturday and with a little autosol it would come up with a mirror like finish. Performance wise, it doesnt have the greatest release of power, but its by no means the same as the original. Oh, and being SS, will last and last and last and last..... And some people (the last owner) didnt want to change the car much from the original spec and didn't want it to stand out too much. Me? Just wish it had a bit more presence ;)
  13. Yep, sounds familiar. If this is a fairly common problem on this car, at least it's very cheap to fix! :)
  14. Not thinking of changing the entire exhaust, just want a different style of tip coming from the back box. Just fancy a change. :)
  15. The boot on my car doesn't shut properly at the moment, turned out to be the threads had been stripped on the three bolts that hold the locking mechanism in place.
  16. Mine's an auto and it was the first auto that I had driven. Again, I bought mine as it was the best Z available at the price at the time. Like Pete said, whichever one you get the power will never get boring :D Plus the looks, the effortless cruising, the appreciative looks of passer bys, the looks of envy from boy racers and the fact that to me, the Z is a GT with soul. Do you ya get the impression that I like my car? :D
  17. MAC, Im only on standard tubs at the moment, and unless they meet an early demise, wont be getting changed for about 2 more years. Dont wont to tempt fate really. Then again,I may be lucky.... ;)
  18. Could go for a decat, however, after seeing all the posts regarding standard tubs and rear seals, I may leave it for a while. ;)
  19. Thanks for the info. I take it they have a much deeper note than the 'whispering' Mongoose exhaust?
  20. James, what size are the tips? 6" x4"? And what is the sound like?
  21. Cheers fellas. Yes, they do look good. :D
  22. Has anyone got any pics of these on a Zed? Was thinking of changing mine, but would like a look at a few before I spend the money. Cheers. Bri.
  23. Makes you wonder if there should be a cull on the morons out there... Or lawyers ;)
