I've got a pair of 1.0mm boost jets installed and my max boost is between 12-12.5psi.

What about you?

Pete I used the boost jets before giving them to you and only got 11-11.5 psi , I don't think any two cars are the same when it comes to boost jets

LOL Stop causing trouble :p :p

This thread is intended to show the ranges of boost you can expect ;)

I agree with Bagins. The two cars can produce different boost for a number of reasons....

Boost leak

air flow etc etc.

I've got 1mm jets in and am getting about 14psi.

using 1.0mm jets now, getting 16psi which can drop to around 14psi

tried 1.2mm jets 1st, that gave me a steady 12psi

So by the looks of it with 1mm boost jets you can expect any where from 11-16 psi  so that will be the range then pete ;)

With 0.8mm Jets I was getting about 15psi. However, since I reset the ECU and cleaned the filters (K&N) its been going up to 18psi. But I think the gauge may be off.

They are really mig welding tips, a couple of quid from a hardware store.

You insert them into the wastegate hoses, one in each, and they work by fooling the actuators into raising the boost pressure. Simple cheap BHP increase.

They should really be used only with an aftermarket chip, so that the fuelling is sufficient for the extra air.

Do a search and theres a write up linked.

Pete

cheers for that i know what you are talking about now.

so best to buy a chip first then? or can you do this with out?

Detonation is more likely without an aftermarket chip, but i know some people do run boost jets with a stock ECU.

Chip is best ideally.

12psi is the max on a stock chip, best just to get a chip really, 1 bar of boost really is worth the expense ;)

After connecting Pete's boost gauge up on Sunday, we found that mine ran between 14.5-15psi.

Have you had a look at yours yet Pete?
