It now lives here... Yes Air-Con has been deleted. Before you laugh - it works out pretty well - I will just have to pump some sealent around where the cables enter/exit - just in case - but otherwise I tested blasting it with a high pressure washer and it remained dry inside. And I have drilled a new drain hole so that it does not become a spare washer bottle ;-)) Anyone else got any pics of where they moved their fuse box: I know a lot of you hide it under the chrome/carbon Smithy slam panel but.... ;)

ok guys Clutch has started making a horrid noise when it is Pressed/ Engaged! Sounds as if its juddering like when your about to stall so a loud (can hear it in traffic with windows down) clicking i guess (will try and upload an Audio of it) Now the clutch still Engages/Dis-engages fine and good when changing gears so its not Master or Slave cylinder and if i apply a touch of pressure to the clutch pedal (not even 10% pressed) the noise starts and it also will 'click' faster if im in Neutral, clutch pressed and i touch the Accelerator pedal. So my 1st thought was its the Clutch Release bearing (Also called Thrust bearing IIRC) but im not sure. Cause of this is…

My gearbox is fine selecting all gears at lower speeds. However when you go to select 5th on the motorway at over about 80 you can feel it grating as it goes in. The clutch is quite stiff and bytes quite near the floor and you have to push it all the way down to engage gears, if I were a betting man I would say that it is probably a pressure plate problem. Question is this, would you say that this sounds like clutch or do you think it is in fact the gear box?. Also how do you check and top up the gearbox oil on these cars? thanks

after being received from ChrisD :) i replaced my rotten old windscreen and targa trim with new ones (after saying in another thread how i'd rather use that spray-on black stuff instead of replacing it all, lol!) - pleasantly surprised how soft the new stuff is compared to the hardened crap you get from 20 years of weather. old crap: new bitz: looks so much better now (i spent ages trying to get the fit right and im still not quite happy with it :( ) its just the rubber around the windscreen, and around the side windows that lets it down now!

first job was to find the cause of losing coolant over a period of time - just when i thought my running temp had been sorted once and for all, i was sat in traffic about 5 mins into my journey home on thursday, and the a/market temp needle just shot up from 70C to about 110!! needless to say i got my priorities right and in this order: i) shat, ii) found an escape route out of the traffic and into fosse retail park. gladly i noticed the needle drop back to normal temp as i moved, so after kerb crawling for a moment, i took my chances and carried on with the drive back home. no real probs as even when sat at lights it only crept up to about half way (90ish C). the…

Finally put the car for MOT. the engine was last used properly December 08. ive taken the car out once for a 40 minute drive since. heres the emissions results..... how can i resolve this? o2 sensors are gone? or isit the fact that its been off the road for ages, and had a few boost leaks since back together (smoked, but now are all sorted) and just needs a good hard drive to clean itself?

Hi folks ive got myself a type 1 HKS turbo timer and just wanted to confirm what wires i need to link into in the dash. Ive had a look at the wiring diagrams and for the turbo timer i need RPM signal, Speed signal, Parking brake switch. On page 65 in the manual in the electrical section i think the wires i need are 22, 16 and 2 can anyone confirm this that has fitted these before. I have the Z32 harness from HKS so the power wires arent a problem Cheers http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi Marty
