What do you think of this front bumper, I know the fitment is crap. It don't fit properly on the wing, and there seems to be a join down the centre, but I really like it! I dont suppose there is a poly one that looks like this, I might even be tempted by a fibre-glass one though I really dont want to fit one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330362786295&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I'm looking to see where exactly the original boost solenoids are, I've looked at a few pics but none highlight where precisely they are. Also I'm wondering where most people have chosen to locate the solenoid box when fitting their BC... Pete

Seemed to have developed a problem on the power steering, it feels too light and floaty at times and when turning at slow speeds it feels notchy like there isnt enough fluid in (but its to the correct level). I have UK clocks fitted, there is not signs of leaks and the belt is good. Any ideas folks?

i know the tweed looks pritty disgusting, but looks worse when its stained full of pepsi etc :wack: was thinking of removing the seats (as is only 4 bolts) and steam cleaning them? this a good idea? or is there something easier/better to get rid of the smell/staines :hurl:

Here is a little surprise that showed up during a cambelt change, this particular zed had been serviced by a main dealer for some years and the owner had decided to not keep paying the high charges. So given the last time the front of the engine was opened up it was in a main dealer`s workshop how odd to see the bulk of the thermostat missing, when the bit left in was removed it was evident the functioning part had been hacksawed off?? very bizzare, oh and the upshot is an overcooled engine running in warm up mode all of the time using excessive fuel and not achieveing full boost. done some searching and a few on here have the evo calipers for there zed how do you find them as compared to the r33 calipers have seen some evo calipers and there quite reasonably priced are they similar sized to the r33 ones? can i use the r33 disks with them? iirc the evo disks are 319 mm i could machine my disks down to 319 from the standard 324 if they will then do for the evo calipers? any thought or suggestions on these looks like a cheaper route to better braking i though

Happy to pay so if you fancy helping out and fancy earning some cash please let me know. Hi all, On my 91 import, the speedo has been converted, but the turbo gauge is still in the Jap format (ie -7 to +7) and the now changed speedo face only goes up to 120 mph - I haven't gone that fast, but i assume that the needle would just eventually stop, even if i did go over the stated 120? has this had some sort of converter? because at 90 - 100 the needle is nearly all the way over on the right (as 120 is top). Really i want the needle to sit in its normal place when driving (you know - about 70 or 80 when pointing straight up) , does anybody have any ideas or advice, i want to either change it back to kph readout - or swap it out completely so tha…

The story goes like this: I've sold the manual conversion from my shorty only to get my LWB back on the road, after it's MOT, to find that the gearbox is giving a light grind. More so, when in 2nd and 4th gears and it gives a bit of a crunch when going into 2nd gear. I've been looking about at getting my gearbox reconditioned but cant find anyone local. I pressed the magical "SEARCH" button and looked for what people have done in the past. I found a thread with Stenorth and someone else talking about Quaife sequentials and other aftermarket boxes. Anyway, while searching for aftermarket boxes, i stumbled across this: http://www.importpartspro.com/ni3…

Dear All I am new to the world of 300zx's, so new I have not even picked up my car, although this should happen this weekend. The car is 95 import non turbo with 19kmiles (31km) on the clock. The present owner has not had the belt replaced so I am fearing that the belt maybe very old, hence it needs replacing. However when asking for a quote I was told that it was not possible as the uk engine numbers do not tie up the Jap ones so it was not possible to select the correct belt. From what I can see from the internet there is only one belt, however I am new and know nothing so I am hoping someone could put me right? Also anyone know a good place in Dorset/Poole w…

Thought I'd update as I have completed a few little bits and pieces. Any views, advice, questions welcome. Throttle cable bracket cut to follow curve of plenum bolt hole, then chromed. Idea here is to expose more of the gulley in the middle when viewed from front. Throttle cable adjuster refurbed satin black. All stainless cap bolts. Fuel rail pipe replace with stainless braided hoses and red anodised clamps. All injecter locator bolts replaced with stainless cap bolts. Throttle cover bolt hole lug ground off from front right hand side of throttle cable guard. Fuel Damper painted and lacquered EH3 red Stainless hose replacement with anodised finish…

Put some new front pads in a two days ago. Opened up the bleed nipples quickly at the same time as pushing the pistons back. However i forgot to clamp the lines. Anyhow I didn't test it with the engine on until yesterday - cue the problem that I can push the brake pedal to the end of its travel with not much effort. *****cks says I, must have gotten some air in the lines when i opened the nipples to push the pistons back. So today I have been bleeding the system. I've followed the procedure in the 95 manual. It tells me to bleed the abs actuator too, which is bloody hilarious because 94+ zeds have no bleed nipples on the abs... Anyhow I've bled and bled the…

Evening all. My autobox is currently in its 'limp home' mode. I am as yet to run a diagnostic check on it. Would a non-functioning solonoid or sensor lead to this or is it the dreaded new gearbox time? I have only recently bought the car and noticed that the 'Shift Lock' fuse was missing. I have since replaced this. Would this have any bearing on my gearbox not functioning properly? Many thanks in advance!

Good Afternoon Gentle Folk, I wonder if you can help with a quandary of mine! My speedo quite often when its been / is raining will stay on 0 kph for a period of time determined by itself. sometimes 30 seconds or anything up to about 5 minutes. Obviously as it recording no speed the power steering doesnt kick in and it can be a pain to steer. It has happened a few times when its been dry but those occations are few and far between. I have had the speedo off and resoldered all I can across the backboard and this did appear to work for a time. I was wondering if there is anything else that can cause this issue or whether its finally worth me upgrading to UK s…

This problem with one cylinder not firing is starting to do my nut in. It's always #4 pot. I've put a new connector on and OHM tested it. It starts OK every day cold. and will run forever, until you turn it off and leave it for more than 30 mins. on starting #4 is again not firing. Do you think it's the PTU?. It has a series 1 PTU on it. I'll be changing it anyway for a series 2 in due course when I can afford it (Business folded and skint at the moment). If so does anyone have a series 1 one going cheap. (have to be cheap as skint)
