I've got a s1 rear subframe from my old jdm. I've also got the ES rear sub frame and suspension bushes, powertrix adjustable camber set, whiteline ARB and adjustable drop links. The intention was to refurb the subframe on my S2 UK. Now I don't know whether to do the UK sub or the JDM one  The UK is a '93 so it's newer but has done 130K miles, the jdm is an '89 but only done 70k. The UK diff is a newer model and has a separate oil cooler but is as rusty as hell. Both diffs sound fine and rotate freely. What do I do?? Help

First time I've posted in the "Advice Section". It's more of a chance to kick myself in front of my peers and for me learn a damn good, (expensive), lesson for the future. Here's my advice. Always get respray work done AFTER your MOT. ??????????????? I hear. Sills, rust, skirts, hammer, wire brush, filler...... and then pay for the same paint and shoot twice. Genius Consider me naive and hasty Consider yourselves advised I am expecting, "Well isn't that obvious?" and "Always do mate", so spare me and hope they approve my overtime. Seeya peeps and peepesses.

Hi im after some technical advice with the turbo inlet! The turbo inlet measures about 3inches in dia. My question is as im having pipework made up to fit does the pipe work have to be 3inch in dia to the turbo? Would i gain any advantages in doing this? Knowing that the standard pipework is around 2/2.5dia would it be easier to just adapt the original pipe work to my new turbos? Cheers Dan

Relatively new to the electrickery world, thought I'd play about and create a circuit for a feature I'm making and fitting to the Z... Its a bit under wraps at the mo but I'm struggling with one bit... Basically, I've got a switch making a solenoid go one way, but how do I reverse the polarity to make it go the other way??

We have a really gifted graphics girl in the office who drew my car today. She is also going to be doing the mock up of the airbrushing designs I am having done under the bonnet as well. When the engine is out I am thinking of having either a blue plasma ball on the bonett with sparks coming out in a kind of cool technology kind of theme along with sparks coming up the sides of the engine bay. Or A flaming skull with flames and mirrors on the bonnet and flames coming up the side of the engine bay. I will post the pics what do you think would be coolest?

As title says...... .......Julia and I took ZX number two for a blast down the M4 yesterday as we fancied a day out in Bath. I am very pleased with the car and it performed faultlessly; eating up the miles (very) swiftly with ease. It also used less than 3/4 of a tank of fuel for the 218 mile round trip - an achievement considering I wasn't hanging around either. Especially as the M4 was empty on the way there...:p I like it more with every trip and I reckon it's definitely a worthy replacement for my old Z Richard:cool:

Need help, when cold there is a rattle or more like chatter when driving at about 4000 rpm. This doesn't happen when start and rev car when stationary when cold only when moving. When warm runs very well with no noise. I know it is related to oil but got no idea where. Had car checked over recently, all plugs cleaned (injectors etc) new oil, filter, cam follower treatment in oil. Car is NA manual. Any ideas? Rob

Hi, Still having problems with my garage. until I can collect my car (in bits) they are telling me i owe them about £8000 this is a new development. Of course we have questioned what that £8000 is for. They have sent me two invoices which they believe i owe them the money for. The first invoice was garage services which i have got checked out no problems. the second invoice is for engine machining costs and head work. Is there anyone who would help look over the hours they have put down for the work done. for example: they have charged 40 hours to "Labour: Cutting new valve seats, fitting new stems, porting head, fitting springs" There a…

Saw you're car in saracens head car park, parked next to a yellow saxo. Cant remember the reg, but it was silver (may have been silver/blue, it was night time) had 4 pot lights on the back, black and beige leather seats with a little Z logo on them. No spoiler, and i think the standard front bumper.
