  1. I was "told" this was done at 59k on my car (2yrs ago) when I bought it so didn't get it done. However, I now want the piece of mind and would like the UD pulleys done at the same time. Could anyone recommend a reliable outfit near to Bristol/Portishead or Berkshire? Really wanted to get it up to the Zed centre but logistically it's not great for me. Many thanks, Alex

On my auto TT import, sometimes when I start the car in the morning or even after sitting for an hour or so, if I idle for a while before moving off, it can kick some tail smoke, I think it's quite light/grey colour as opposed to a darkish blue. This doesn't occur if I move off more or less straight away. As I revved yesterday (warm warm) it was smooth as anything to 4500rpm then above this, it sounded like ball bearings rattling around so I came off the accelerator and drove real light for a while. Later on, the nastysound had gone. What are the signs of a turbo or both going? Do these symptoms sound familiar? Thanks, Alex

Well it would have been nice to put some photos up of the car but the last thread was closed before i could finish my reply .... I wasn't trying to sell the car in the thread - this was what i was about to post.... Hello mate, i live in Newport, it's quite a well known car but to be honest i probably use the car maybe once or twice a week maximum so you probably wouldn't have seen it around much, friends of mine have pointed out that they've seen a yellow one cruising around though! Nope, it wasn't my intention to try and sell the car in this thread (or on here), i want to get it in autotrader and maybe the local paper here, i just wanted accurate opinions …

having a look at my old videos that a mate took inside the car i can see that from 20mph it took around 6-7 seconds to get to 60mph. i reckon around 8-10 from 0 - 60mph..... i never really noticed until looking at videos now. Is the autobox able to rob power and can a boost leak effect the car to that extent? post your thoughts :) cheers again all for your help and support

After Many months of changing this and fixing that i may have found my solution to the dett problem. So far i have changed both o2 sensors coil packs cleaned all injector connection and then replaced cas unit as my timing kept slipping. re aligned my cam belt 3 times as i kept thinking it slipped a tooth. More recently changed my Fuel pump (thanks to Phile). So this morning i took off my aac and replaced it. connection on it were loose which caused my revs to go up to 2000 rpm. sorted that and replaced a fuel pipe beside the fpr. Jumped in as i have done 100s of time before not holdin out much hope but on the hill up to the house i planted the foot and hey presto no marbl…

Thought i would keep this seperate and keep it focused. If you have not seen my on going thread or know of the situation take a look here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=130693 Lets say they give me my £3,000 back with no hassle. How much compensation should I push for on top of that? I don't want to go in too low if i am entitled to more as the impact it has had on me as a person and financially is catostrophic. I don't want to go in too high neither as they wont take me seriously.

  9. Has anyone got any info opinions on the above? (I have already spoken to MadMarco). Am looking at them with Tein Pillow Ball Top Mounts but this then pushes the set up towards coilover money! Can anyone recomend dampers AYG SGX seem to be popular. Anyone else owned a set?? Decisions, decisions!? Cheers in advance, Andy

Why do i do it? The V8's still not finished but i've just found a set of 19" Antera 309s (like BeeGeeVinz's and the larger version of the 18" one's i have already)! :headvswal One's missing a tyre, the rest are probably knakcered and i can't tell if one of the rims is scuffed from the photos but apart from that they look in good nick. Just text the guy to see if he still has them but for the money i can't let them go :headvswal:headvswal:headvswal I just think they'll finish off the look of the V8 nicely :) So expect a set of pretty mint 18" Antera 309s to be up for sale shortly on here  lol Mine: The 19" ones:

  12. We are picking my car up this Friday... Before anyone says about bloody time or anything This is the down side... We are are picking the car up as not complete and still in bits!! I am very disapointed in the garage. I was a bit unsure about pulling my car away but after sending them a email on Wednesday saying this was a big consideration of ours and not to get a reply until sending another email sent the Monday saying the choice has been made and that we are picking it up. Very very poor and very dispointed. Poor isnt the word for it but having my car for a year and a half and only get to a point of stripping the engine what else do you expect from a…

Hi all, Over the past week I've noticed that when I am at full throttle and approach full boost (14psi) at around 3-4k revs the engine suddenly revs high quickly but I don't go anywhere as though my clutch is slipping very badly. I've had suspect thrust bearings since I bought the car and was wondering if it could be some other clutch-related issue, or I should just start crying now at the thought of paying out £520 for a new clutch  Cheers, Brian

I was disappointed that there were know stand/stall what ever you like to call it selling just run off the mill spare parts for cars. and not meny food stand's .£25.00 each is a lot to show your car. I did American car shows for year's and you could aways pick parts up at them . not just crome and stickers and after market kit's. Or is im just geting old

Had this zed nearly a year now just looked at the clock pics I took just after I had it and covered less than 2000km/1200miles :( I love this car it's loads better than my pearl one but just not getting any use out of it. Not really thinking of selling but seems a bit pointless spending out on tax, insurance, fancy stuff etc and driving round in a shagged out escort that I do 15,000 a year in struggling it's poor little balls off. what sort of miles are others putting on these cars mines seems more of an expensive ornament than a car:o

As we all know Z32 standard brakes suck, in my opinion they are the weakest link in the performance of a Z32, so the question is, Has anybody fitted the big Range Rover Brembo Calipers and discs to a Z32 ? Also what about the Brembo 8 pot calipers that have become so affordable of late ? Failing any of the above what are the largest Brake discs readily available and for sensible money that can fit a Z32 ?
