We are meant to picking my car and parts up on Friday from the garage. They seemed happy for it to go. Keeping in mind they have had it for a year and a half. We had to call them today to confirm Friday. They said they have been working out what work they have done and discuss the money I owe them. Are you kidding me?? Seriously!! They have no idea!! been looking for an interior trim kit like a member had. does anyone know who can supply this? if not then can anyone advise how i can DIY this? My wife is a pro at stitching work :)

Just a quickie to say thanks to the lads at Zedworld. The car was barely running when I got there, and was driving smooth, and steady when I left.... :nana2: There could have been more boost leaks, when I got there, but I would've had to have removed all the pipes to achieve that!! :nono: Just gotta suffer the next few miles of burning the oil off from the totally shot pcv valves :eek: I ended up with new pcv's, new pipes, and an intercooler replaced.... :wack: Ta very much lads... and thanks for the tea! :)

I used to drive an MR2, nothing fancy, just an NA, now if i was bothered about the speed, i'd glance at the speedo. worried i'm accelerating to quick..glance at the rev counter, make sure i'm not red-lining it. Now i'm the owner of a Twin turbo, and when i get a bit enthusiastic, christ! i need another set of eyes!, what do i look at, Cant let the turbos get to hot, check the oil temp gauge. Ah, only got 14psi, keep a check on the boost gauge. hang about, the revs are climbing, quick - check the revs. Bugger, saw a cop, how fast am i doing? check the speedo. The boost and oil temp are on the pillar, the rest on the dash, before i do any damage to the engine or …

Noticed a bit of a rattle yesterday, and just wanted to pick peoples brains if they have come across it before... 'seems' to only be in second gear, when it gets to 1500rpm to about 1700rpm. Then it goes. Does sound like its possibly from gearbox area, but hard to pinpoint. Does this make any sense to some possible cause?

when you turn the lights on 1, you are supposed to get lights on dipped? (aka sidelights) however dont seem to have this happening. ive got main beam, and full beams (in the same headlight, 2 different bulbs) i havent got the fog lights connected, do the sidelights come on in the fogs? or are they in the main headlight and i have a fuse gone or something. or do the JDM cars dont have sidelights? (Cars in for MOT today)

Guys Any opinions on who makes nice seats either leather or black cloth buckets for the ZED. I was thinking of Recaros but do they fit? Also where can I take the car to have the interior done? I would like new seats, carpets, the rear seats taken out and all the door trims and dash etc re covered. I would also like a nice Audio set up put in etc. Do you have to get it done in different places or do certain companies specialise in doing the whole lot?. Or if you are mad enough is it something you can do yourself with getting bits and pieces done?. ta :duffer:

i have been looking to sort out a running issue on the zed since i had it about 3 months ago. i think i have done absolutly everything mention on this site and i would hope it will run fantastically one the final niggle is sorted. however the car still has a slight lumpiness on idle and runs very rich. this evening i sorted a leak form the idle valves which has now brought the idle down consistently to 850rpm (i had already cleaned then before). while letting it idle i noticed a bit of a noise from the ns cam cover which wored me alot. took the cam belt cover off and i could not pin point the noise (i was expecting the belt to have started delaminating. turns …

can someone advise where the indicator fuses are? hy hazards work fine, and all the bulbs work. but have no indicators?? is it footwell or engine bay? which one on here isit?

I was "told" this was done at 59k on my car (2yrs ago) when I bought it so didn't get it done. However, I now want the piece of mind and would like the UD pulleys done at the same time. Could anyone recommend a reliable outfit near to Bristol/Portishead or Berkshire? Really wanted to get it up to the Zed centre but logistically it's not great for me. Many thanks, Alex

On my auto TT import, sometimes when I start the car in the morning or even after sitting for an hour or so, if I idle for a while before moving off, it can kick some tail smoke, I think it's quite light/grey colour as opposed to a darkish blue. This doesn't occur if I move off more or less straight away. As I revved yesterday (warm warm) it was smooth as anything to 4500rpm then above this, it sounded like ball bearings rattling around so I came off the accelerator and drove real light for a while. Later on, the nastysound had gone. What are the signs of a turbo or both going? Do these symptoms sound familiar? Thanks, Alex

what are the main reasons for removal of this e g r set up? can it be done with out engine removal? any problems with M O T [ co emissions ] any one had this valve break? not the diaphram, not the solinoid, but the plunger that lifts to allow gases back into plenum , thanking you guys for advice on this egr set up

having a look at my old videos that a mate took inside the car i can see that from 20mph it took around 6-7 seconds to get to 60mph. i reckon around 8-10 from 0 - 60mph..... i never really noticed until looking at videos now. Is the autobox able to rob power and can a boost leak effect the car to that extent? post your thoughts :) cheers again all for your help and support

After Many months of changing this and fixing that i may have found my solution to the dett problem. So far i have changed both o2 sensors coil packs cleaned all injector connection and then replaced cas unit as my timing kept slipping. re aligned my cam belt 3 times as i kept thinking it slipped a tooth. More recently changed my Fuel pump (thanks to Phile). So this morning i took off my aac and replaced it. connection on it were loose which caused my revs to go up to 2000 rpm. sorted that and replaced a fuel pipe beside the fpr. Jumped in as i have done 100s of time before not holdin out much hope but on the hill up to the house i planted the foot and hey presto no marbl…

How much compensation should I push for on top of that? I don't want to go in too low if i am entitled to more as the impact it has had on me as a person and financially is catostrophic. I don't want to go in too high neither as they wont take me seriously.

Has anyone got any info opinions on the above? (I have already spoken to MadMarco). Am looking at them with Tein Pillow Ball Top Mounts but this then pushes the set up towards coilover money!
