ive just fited a hks alc and took it out for a spin but when cruzing at 60 ish it dosent go in to the top gear (revs stay at 3500rpm) and when i accelerate gently it changes up a gear! is this normal?

garage called today, emmissions are out because of pipes at the back of engine conencted wrong/going to nowhere only thing i can think of is the EGR. (unless anyone thinks anything else) now the EGR solenoid is removed from the car, and the take-off on the side of the engine is blocked off. but the EGR valve itself is still there on the back of the engine. will this casue a vacuum leak? or will it be re-dundant as there is no solenoid/pipe from the engine going to it

Hi all, The engine is pretty much ran in now and I want to take it somewhere to be mapped properly. Does anyone know where I should take it and approximate costs? Also I am running a normal ECU with a chip in to run the 740 nismo injectors. Do I need to purchase a different EVCU or anything? If so what should I go for and where do I get em thanks Lee

Im looking at my next mod. Ive searched and found bits, but not anything complete. I have heated wing mirrors on my UK zed, i also have spare jap spec folding mirrors. What i want to do is combine the two. to have heated folding mirrors. i have the original switches of my Jap breaker. cant it be done? anyone else tried to do it.??????

Ok guys looking for some advice, just fitted an after market boost gauge today which reads in Bar. Started the car and it goes into the minus but vibrates or flicks up and down slightly only between 2 lines at idle, but i thought nothing of it took the car out for a blast. With the pedal to the floor the absolute max boost i get is 0.5bar which i think is about 7psi? Stock should be 9psi? Or is this normal? Thanks in Advance.

So ok after the garage saying they are happy for me to collect my car to move onto another garage and a couple days before picking up saying i owe them about £8,000 to pick my car up completly in bits, engine out, engine stripped and completly in bits. How do you flush the oil from the diff? Also what fluid do you replace it with? Any help/advice greatly appreciated. cheers dave

Hi all, I noticed the location of the fitment of bovs are in different locations. Some just before the throttle bodies and others on the lower intakes. Is there any reason or pros or cons between them? Cheers

if the new m3 has 400bhp and 300lbs of torque and weighs 1750kg would a zed with 400 bhp and 400 lbs of torque be able to confortably pass the new v8 m3?

Seen some odd corrossion but take a look at the photo, what your looking at is the headlamp washer motor on a UK spec breaker, it Is completely rotted through to inner windings...weird. Jeff TT

Hi all, Today i managed to get one of my 300zx turbos running. I bought it from a guy who rebuilt the engine but never got it to run (4 years ago). I found loads wrong with it. However, its running now but the turbos are not boosting at all. I have checked them and they're not seized so it has to be something else. Whats the score with the little egr valves on the sides os the turbos? Is there any way of testing them? Has anyone else come across this problem? :headvswal

i have an engine been built with ross forged pistons i have taken it to pieces and was looking at rebuilding it the pistons are in great condition so was gonna get new rings and reuse them how much roughly would it cost to rebuild and what would i need and what could i re use. rings [get new] bearings[get new] gaskets[get new] water pump[get new] timing belt[get new] oil pumps in good condition could i re use it [have 555 injectors and reconditioned stage 2 turbo technic turbos] bigger side mounted inter coolers if did rebuild it what sort of power could i get from parts above

Its something that I have been wondering about for quite a while, so finally I'll ask the question. I assume that the fog lights on a UK Zed are incorporated into the rear light clusters of the Zed. On the Jap spec, they are not which results in the add on rear fog lamp under the rear bumper and it looks crap. If my assumption regarding the UK rear fog lamp is correct, would it not be simple to transplant the light clusters and rewire? The above is probably totally wrong from assumption through to suggestion, but please enlighten me. Its something that I always wondered. Who has the oldest & newest z32 on here? Mine is an import TT auto from 1989- chassis number 502236.

I lost my standard oil pressure indication on sunday so i'm looking to put aftermarket gauges in while my zed's tucked up for the winter.
