Well it's been a while since i've been zedding, I had to shelve the V8 project last May after hitting £18k on the budget and having major problem with the rockers/oil flow and i've ummed and arred what to do about it the past 6/7 months and finally decided at xmas to call it a day and break it for parts. I was going to put the TT lump from rigs' car in and turn it into a TT but after spending ages trying to get the engine out in the first place i remembered how much i hated working on TT engine bays so sold that all off. Then i smashed in the front of the silver car which is still off the road until me and dad have the time to repair all the wings and bumper. …

:helpsmilie::helpsmilie: Silly question but how do you tell the difference between the twin turbo auto box and the N/A. I have an N/A and I'm convinced I was sold a Twinny box as the gearing seems to change a lot higher than the one I had previously. It's too late to change it now as its been on the car for a while now as it was sitting around but I have a feeling I may have been conned but not sure :cursing: And would it do any lasting damage :confused1::confused1: .

Strange requist I know but as with most motor manufacturers,Nissan must use generic parts through out there range. This will include the 300zx ,so there must be parts on the zx that cross over from other models in the range, and I am trying to compile a list of these parts that will cross over from all through out the Nissan range that can fit the 300xz,for instance the heater matrix from the P10 Primera, will fit the zx,there has to be more items. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it Many Thanks in advance

hi all, was some one looking for a adaptor kit for a 6-speed trany to z32...! here the link http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/news.asp The 350Z & Infiniti G came with a very strong 6-Speed transmission that is starting to show up more and more at the auto recyclers, making for a reasonably priced option for other high-powered Nissans. Unfortunately, it sports an integrated bell housing, making this conversion difficult at best. By scrounging an automatic tranny bell housing from an automatic that was fitted to the same motor you are adapting to, this adaptor ties everything together. Either the 07+ 350Z Concentric Release Bearing or an aftermarket C.R.C. (Tilton…

I have just started to dismantle my rear light assemblies, hoping to fit new outer lenses to my original bulb housings. Can anyone help me with finding the re usable rubber type sealant that was originally used, or something similar, I think I will need several attempts before I get it right so I am looking for the sort of sealant that can be re worked with a little heat.

Guys, Having a wee issue with my hicas. My car runs the later fully electronic system. I have tried to enter the diagnostic mode for the hicas (turn engine on turn steering wheel left and right 5 times and press brake pedal 5 times) and no matter how many times i try, it will not enter the HICAS mode. A this point the hicas light should come on, and turning the steering wheel activates the hicas whilst stationary. (the hicas light will not come on, in order for me to continue into the next part of the diagnostic where it does the self check) Has any one else had issues getting into the hicas diagnostic. I managed it ok on my first zed, but not this one. …

How often do you people just go for a drive? without a destination? Just for the fun of driving? It's very rare i get the urge to just go but took the Zed out today on a 40 mile drive and loved every minute. No where in particular, just a drive along the coast, then through some town centres and back home. Nice and easy. Just cruising, not racing around. Throughly enjoyed it :) Peter

Just got a quote for chrome powder coating to do my wheels again. £220 for drive in and out same day. Just wondering if thats a good price and has anybody seen chrome powder coating for alloys ? The laquers all went cloudy on my 18's and was thinking powder rather than getting them re pollished and laquered again. Laquer will no doubt eventually tarnish but powder coating doesnt. What you think - polish or powder ?

Some Z32 cars, like mine, have the worn out black covering removed, to reveal a lovely polished aluminium finish, on the windscreen & targa roof side strips. I think this looks great & more in keeping with today's look. Now, has anyone done this to the black & rubber strips, under each side window ? Again, I think this could look very cool. Many new cars, like the Jaguar XJ, have this look. What do you guys think ? Tim
