recently had my split rims powedercoated , they look great , tyres refitted , balanced etc etc , trouble is 2 of the foooking things are leaking like a sieve from the back side of the rim , where the nuts screw in, i cant tighten them up, in fact i cant budge them either way , and the powder coaters wont accept liability , and i cant prove they were not leaking before hand, i am so fed up im seriosly thinking of breaking the whole car , it may seem like a small point but im pisxed of with time money and effort being spent hand over fist and getting precisely no where, simply put i dont know where to go from here i dont have a great deal of brass at best , even less so cur…

Just wondered if any of you guys have had this happen to you.Took car out today and as i pulled out of a junction she started to splutter badly and wouldn,t rev up on boost (When needle was trying to go past half way mark on dash). Looked under bonnet and some of the pipe work on pas side were frozen (not sure wot there for as this is still new to me).So i thought i,d ask the gurus on here as to wot the problem could be (is it the turbos or somthing else) Any advice would be grateful as im not going to be defeated on my project z.Cheers in advance.

Some of you will remember my z32 fairlady. I sold it due to running out of money to fund the addiction to a young lad (18) from up north. I found him on facebook and messaged him pleading to buy it back as I no longer cover half the mileage I used to, and he informed me that he sold it to his friend within 3 weeks (who also messaged me about the car), but unfortunately it snapped on him in the wet after overtaking a van and threw him into a drystone dyke. The car was obviously written off, and the poor lad died at the scene. It's a grave reminder to drive with respect, especially through winter. im currently in the process of doing my brake upgrade . ive got a set of ap racing 330mm cross drilled and a set of 350z un drilled 324mm. both sets are in good nic but both would benefit from a light skim . im trying to find some reviews on how they perform against each other as i need to get one set skimmed and fitted . the aps are 28mm thick and the 350z are 32mm thick . on the eye the aps win handsdown and are also only half the weight of the z33 discs . any reviews from anyone who has used either or both would be very much appreciated cheers

ok its decission time ive got my uk auto tt and i love it but ever since i was about 12 ive wanted an r33 gtr but now theres a problem i cant decide wether to keep the zed and modify it to around the 400 mark or sell up and buy a gtr. personaly a cant stand the gtrs interior and i love the zed's one its a million times better in every way power wise i know the gtrs easyer to tune to high power but a 400hp wouldnt exactly be a slouch gtr has the obv benefit of awd so its gonna be a more stable car im not planning on doing any track days in either car but awd would be nice on wet roads etc finaly i do tend to go on long mway drives as my mums in cornwall…

whats the deal with these, i mean surely anything is better than stock, as proven on my laptop when my car was overheating the standard gauge didnt even more a notch. but comparing prices of autometer and AEM gauges is ridiculous. whats the conclusion then? to buy cheap? or get the best, and not sure even if that is the best.

Following on from an earlier thread about turbo damage due to low oil pressure after an owner changed his turbo`s, started all good but 600 miles later ... total disaster http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=157837 So here are the oily bits, Damage to the intake impellor due to failed bearing leading to excess shaft movement, exhaust turbine can be seen covered in oil due to rear seal failure after the bearing overheated. All refurbed and looking spanky, such a shame it will be not be viewable!! A little under £400 and with all new parts and 12 months warranty so not too bad, now whe…

Just thought as it is so random id share. Got a knock on the front door Sunday morning. My sheepish looking next door neighbour, asked me to come outside..... Once outside i was greeted by the unusual site of a 12ft trampoline embedded into the front of my z :( :( not a happy chap as you can imagine. Basically becuase he had not taken it down, it had somersaulted down his garden over his fence and landed on my car. In the process denting the bonnet, the centre panel and near side wing. He said hes going to claim through his house insurance and ive asked Jeff to do me a quote for the repair and respray as i know it will be done right. I rekon w…

Just a quick question on Skyline gtr parts, Which parts are interchangeable with 300zx parts? I know brakes can be used, but what about suspension, turbo's etc?? Also by this i mean to upgrade rather than like for like. Cheers in advance
