Nobody on DW can give me an answer to this so I was hoping that someone on here could give me a steer in the right direction I need to fit a hydraulic handbrake (in addition obviously to the stock handbrake) but was wondering how it plumbs in to the ABS (and indeed if it even can be used with ABS) This is on a SWB TT which has a very different ABS setup to that of the LWB TT, the unit looks different and there appear to be more lines running in and out (none are marked as to which is which) are we talking 'T' pieces or does the ABS need to be removed? any help would be much appreciated thanks

Well after 5 years of Z ownership its time to leave im afraid. All through those years I have had fantastic help from people on this forum, read things that have made me laugh like a drain and read thing that have made me spit feathers. The forum moderators have handled all issues with tact and diplomacy most of the time and I thank them for that. People who deserve a special mention from me are Bigman (paul is one the nicest, most helpful men I have ever met and has become, through this club, a lifelong friend). Mikey Bean (what a character as you ALL know). I also have a lot of time for the time effort and help given to me by Saz and Andy. I was really saddened how that…

The names have been changed to protect the Slow-coach. Seen going out for a blast in a RWD car he wants to sell for many thousands cos it's snowing here (only a few mm) ......but going sooo slow at a round-a-bout that the speedo wouldn't have registered it. But I obviously do hope you make it back home with a car of the same value, Mr C. --oooh and your blue lights looked real nice against the cascading flakes!

Hi, Has anyone else found it hard to bolt the diff to the subframe after fitting Energy suspension bushes. I can't get the diff to align with the bolt holes.(bracket end) For 2 nights now trying different ways. The bushes sit against the diff on the rear. I'm guessing this is the problem as it makes the diff sit about 3-5mm to far forward to allow me to bolt the bracket to the subframe. Really starting to piss me off as its not an easy job getting it in place and messing around with it. Any ideas? Thanks Dan

I need to do an active stationary test on my HICAS, is there any free software out there that can do it? I have conzult free, datascan unregistered and OBD scantech, none of which will let me unless I buy the full version. Also, my neutral switch isn't connected after my manual conversion (by choice), so it wont go into the onboard diagnostic mode. So, I either need some software, or, another question, which pin on which plug on the old auto connectors in the engine bay do I ground to temporarily activate neutral for the ECU? Cheers, Tudor...

since i got my car the passenger door central locking has been a bit hit and miss, because i dont use the car all week normally the battery can get a bit low and it used to be then that it wouldnt work. the drivers door would lock but not the passenger. after a drive it would then work again. this got worse over time and now i have to maually lock it. the key or the button work to do this. im assuming that the connection that send the signal to lock is corroded and has now become too corroded or detached to work. it does by the way unlock via the central locking. ive got some free time this saturday morning so in spirt of the fact its minus 3 here atm i dont wanna be outs…

Anyone know which flat red gloss paint would be on my motors. I have a 89 JAP TT and a 92 UK TT both red. I am trying to order some paint and most searches detail AJ4 as the colour but I'm pretty sure that this is not as 'orangie' as I need. Any help appreciated as usual.

A friend of mine has seen this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ECU-Master-Digital-Ecu-Tuner-III-MAP-Sensor-/290656283043?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43ac76e9a3 He's looked into it & seems quite popular in Poland where it is made. £158 including a 4 bar MAP sensor!! Anyone seen or heard about these? Hes probably going to get one for his Celica GT4 so will be interesting to see how he gets on! Bargain if it works well

I went to pick up the shorty and despite being a little worried about driving it with a wobbly drive-shaft back 30 miles it performed admirably :) We swapped the seats over the other day so i could get the standard leather seats to pablito on Saturday - they do look a little out of place with the standard dull grey tweed interior but i'll get the rest of the panels out mine tonight when i get back and take advantage of an empty driveway. I've got a few big plans with this one but ultimately lookswise externally it'll be staying the same just with a few modest enhancements :) I was out on the drive last night at 11pm emptying the rad and putting in a couple …
