I've been changing over the tt power steering pump for a n/a one. I see the pulley wheels dont line up, but has anyone managed to make a tt pulley fit the na pump and line up properly??. If so what size shimmy would make it fit the correct alignment to the lower pulley wheel?. I know it would be easier to simply get a 3pk belt, but was just wondering if it could be done, lol.

The cars gone to the body shop today and we test fitted the fibreglass rear spoiler last night, quick question, is there another trim piece to fit on the rear lip of the boot lid as fitting the replacement fiberglass leaves a big hole in the middle and to me would look unfinished??? Thanks Daz.

Looking for a bit of advice here.. I will be having a full leather retrim soon. I had planned out the design that i wanted. Main colour black with a very light grey detail. All the tweed panels retrimmed in the light grey. The car is black. However, there is quite a high possibility that the car will be painted white. In which case, will this leather colour scheme work? I am a bit worried that the grey and white wont go. Any other suggestions? I dont want to go all black. I want the interior to be a little brighter. I like red, but all of my engine detail is blue. That wont work! Oh, and i dont like blue leather lol Whats your thoughts?

Hi again guys, I'm wondering if someone from the North London/Hertfordshire area may be able to do me a small favour... of course, I will repay in some form 'cos I'm nice like that... Basically, there's a 300zx thats for sale down there, which is about 3 hours or so drive from me. I'm off away on business in a couple of days and am really interested in it, but cant get down before I go and would guess it'll probably be sold by the time I get back. I'm wondering if someone local to them is able to have a quick look at/drive of the car for me and let me know what its like, if its worth buying, if its in good nick or has loads of problems, and if I'd need to s…

Stripped down my front callipers today with the idea of a full paint and refurb. Some of the pistons are beyond repair but fortunately the bores appear to be in good condition. Set about getting the best part of 20 years of cr*p off them prior to a good coating of rust converter. Would like to ask if there is anything I should pay particular attention to during this refurb, I would hate to go to all this trouble to then find I have missed something. I thought I would add some photo's of my initial efforts for your thoughts. Not to sure if it is still possible to attach pictures in the usual way, but here goes. Well that didn't work, Hmmmm?

As title suggests I got a new pink V5 for my zed today, first time i've really looked at it to be honest, turns out its missing some information.... they don't have the model, the engine number, or even the number of seats. and it's apparently a 5 door hatchback. However it does state the year of manufacture as 1996, even though its a G plate. and first registered/imported in September 2003. but why would it be labeled as a 1990, if it was actually made in 96. also does that mean its got, or should have some extras that the older versions didn't?

Hi guys I seem to be getting a lot of steam coming from the rear of the engine on the passenger side cant seem to pin point where its coming from. Ive shone the torch down there and it seems to be around the turbo area but still cant see any leaks, it doesnt smell like oil theirs no sign of a leak under the car either so im assuming the leak doesnt start until the car gets warm. Im fairly sure its a water leak as the water in the radiator seemed to be quite low. any help and suggestions greatly appreciated Cheers Si

Hi all, I was driving home earlier, cruising along at about 55mph in 5th. Suddenly the car started misfiring pretty violently (was previously misfiring very mildly on idle). I pulled over and stopped, the car then wouldn't idle. If I turn the car on it will idle at about 500rpm for a few seconds before going lower and then dying. I've managed to get the car home now, any idea what it could be? The misfire I thought may be an injector, but that wouldn't explain the idling issue? Vacuum lines possibly? I fitted new spark plugs last week if that makes any difference (NKG PFR 6b 11 etc...). The car has been driving great with them, but is it possible that one …

Just thought I'd share a little thing I did, and it is little, but I like the little things :) Basically it's just covering the bolts for the throttle cable cover, I had some rubber sheet lying about, around 2.5mm thick, I found a 12 point socket with the correct size inside diameter, and simply squashed it in the vice with the rubber sheet to press out little rubber discs, which I then simply pushed into the holes, nowt special, but all the little things make your engine bay look neater....
