well just got back from zedworld and im amazed at just how much was wrong with my zed!! jeff and jamie spent the whole day on it and found a list of things as long as your arm!! somehow the car dyno'd at bang on 300hp even though; the cambelt has been set a tooth out and to compensate the fitter (not jeff obv) had the timing set to 7 degrees advanced. the boost controller was not only wired wrong but plumbed in wrong. it had about 7 boost leaks including a major one from what jeff suspects is the plenem ( again were another fitter had not sealed it properly.) added to that the right hand intake pipe hadnt had the jubilee clips done up so was flopping …

  10. I knew this wasn't going to be a straight forward out and in job...# The DW HICAS kit was previously fitted to the LWB, and the bushes are still fitted am I likely to be able to get these out intact or do I need to replace them, they haven't been used just fitted also the OEM bushes on the shortie' need to come out but they're still on the car and I dont really want to be removing hubs/knuckles etc, so what's the best way to get them out? I've searched and found loads of tips on how to drill them out, burn them out etc but want to use the simplest and least '****upable' method

i just bought an '88 z31 turbo today. on the way home it was fine from glasgow to dundee on the m'way then going through dundee the temp guage went up to the three quarter warning mark and it started blowing cold air through the vents. then back o the dualler it went back to normal but the oil temp. guage went up a notch. then i got to the country road that takes me home and the water temp. went back up and the cold air started again. and it was doing this on and off when i took it for a run around town. its got a pretty bad misfire that should be fixed with ht leads but has anyone got any idea what the crack is with the temperature lol? and please dont say somethin…

Did these today and noticed the track rod ends are toast.. Then got to the back.. why didnt somebody tell me all the trim had to come out to remove two bolts...!!:taz: Ive left the trim off for now until I am happy with the damping setting.. not doing that again.... definitely looks better that little bit lower...

Tried to take car out for a little run today to try it out for first time. But i have got a really bad wobble on drivers rear wheel. Its moving that much that the brake caliper has tried carvin away the brake disk. its moving about 1-2inch. Wheel is on tight but looks like something major on that side is broken.

Today I painted the Bomex front splitter that I got from car.mad, I was fed up with having a yellow part in the garage so got the autoglym satin black out and did a quick job until the car has its full respray :whistling: Its not mounted properly yet, need to buy some more tiger seal first. Also made a start fitting my D-Speed mirrors (same make as my spoiler) just need to get them wired up now  Cant wait to get the car MOT'd so I can get some decent pictures, I hate driveway pics but I have no choice at the mo lol :hammer:

  20. Was just playing around with Photobucket and was curious if any of these are still banging about. Mainly the 3 Zeds. between 2003 - 2006 I imported, drove a while and then sold about a dozen cars from Japan... these are the nissans. Do these look familiar to anyone?

Hi, looking for a few peoples opinion and bit of advice really as I really can't decide what to do. I've been debating this for a few weeks now as I've just changed career so things are going to be a bit tight for a little while and as much as I hate to admit it running the zed regularly isn't the most sensible thing atm. I've also had to retrain as part of the change so I have the course fee's to pay which atm I'm paying monthly and it's more than affordable I'm not one who likes owing money so if I we're to sell up and get something a little cheaper for a while then I could just pay it straight off. That said while it all makes perfect sense I really haven't…

  24. I've got a spare UK spec rust free LWB shell on one of my drives and I need to shift it before we move house. I was planning on putting it on the trailor and scrapping it but it would be a shame to scrap what is effectively a decent rust free shell. It's had the boot floor pan cut out in order to fit a fuel cell (now removed) so doesn't have a standard fuel tank. It has both doors, stripped and cut back to a single skin and both targas are still fitted. The carbon boot has been sold and the carbon bonnet is now on the SWB, but it has both front and rear subframe/diff + a spare rear subframe and diff which includes the standard prop. I believe Marty is having the TT…
